So, here it is, Part 4! May it bring lots of BFP's for those of us still waiting and may it bring happy healthy pregnancies for those who are fabulously pregnant.

Nice new thread, I'll try and stay here and have less missing AF this time.
Good news on the hcg engles
I'm going to give it a month or 2 before trying OPKs

Noyoucanwatchpeppapig: 1st official cycle, DD 2.8 odd long 77 day cycle nov-jan.

BetterNotBitter · 13/01/2014 18:22

Ok, lots to catch up on! I'm always rubbish at keeping up over weekends!

monster how are you feeling? Like this could be your month?

donna your spa break sounds brilliant! major points for you dh! Re drinking: personally, I wouldn't during first trimester (although like hungry & kt last time I had a massive night out at about 6 weeks as I didn't know I was pregnant) after that, I wouldn't avoid it like the plague and I'd definitely have one glass of something on an occasion like your birthday donna Other than that, I don't drink a great deal these days anyway. Stopped when pregnant last time, then for another 9 months while breastfeeding and gave never got into the habit of buying it again. Obviously when we go out I have drinks, but we don't have wine in an evening like we used to.

kt how are the cramps?

mrs! What are you like with google!! I'm the same as donna I had low lying placenta at 20 weeks last time and another scan at 32 weeks and it was all fine! I feel your google urge though, I've been resisting googling missed miscarriages for weeks as I still have the niggle all is not well. I'm just being an over worrier though (although don't even like saying that as feels like it's tempting fate!) I'm only basing concerns on having much fewer symptoms this time round, mainly no sickness. So I've stopped myself. Trying to adopt the attitude of what will be will be! Scan a week tomorrow so fingers crossed that will put my mind at rest!! Once baby is wriggling I'll be fine, it's these bloody early weeks!!

How is your ds atruth croup is just horrible! breaks your heart hearing them :(

I think that's everything, sorry to any I've missed, hi to newbies!!

BetterNotBitter · 13/01/2014 18:23

Oh and noyou has just reminded me! fantastic news engels

BetterNotBitter · 13/01/2014 18:27

I'm useless, forgot to ask hungry have you heard anything from work? And also, have you told anyone your pregnant other than parents etc? If not, when do you plan to announce? And the same question to everyone else! About his time or last time!?

HungryHorace · 13/01/2014 19:06

Better, my lack of sickness is worrying me loads. Though I've been a bit nauseous today. Nothing to write home about though. I'm still preparing for the worst at my scan in 2 weeks' time. We need to avoid Google together!

And no, nothing from work. A full week late now. You'd think they'd make sure they got the procedure right, wouldn't you?

HungryHorace · 13/01/2014 19:07

Oh, we've only told my sister and DH's mum so far. My mum has anxiety so we need to get the scan done before letting on so we know all is OK. At that point, at least.

I've told a few friends too.

After the scan we will tell other family members and then friends too.

Monstersaurus · 13/01/2014 19:09

Better I've gone all superstitious and don't want to tempt fate. There is the usual constellation of symptoms that may or may not point towards a BFP or a BFN depending on the mood I'm in. Hopefully there will be a happy result tomorrow and this is indeed our month.

If/when I do get a BFP we'll probably do the same as we did last time - tell siblings and parents as well as a few close friends at 6 weeks or so and then announce it properly after the 12 week scan.

Hope the 2WW flies in swede and claudee . Fingers crossed.

How are you feeling kt?

Kt1991 · 13/01/2014 21:00

engels glad you've received some good news, and a baby due on Boxing Day would be lovely but expensive!
I'm okay thanks monster and better cramps aren't too bad today but I have been weeing so much today! And very tired so think work will cotton on soon anyway!

Re. Telling people, we have told our parents siblings and grandparents, as we are very close to all of them and they would suspect something anyway! And will be relying on some of them to watch DS while we go to scans apts etc. also its my birthday on Wednesday, so people will wonder why I'm not having a drink! wont announce it properly till after the scan though!
How's everyone else doing? Good luck for POAS monster! Make sure you let us know!

mrsm22 · 13/01/2014 21:58

Hi everyone,
My stats:
mrsm22 - I am currently 18 weeks pregnant and 3 days with number two. Same as Donnas I got pregnant within the first few weeks of TTC. I have one DS who has just turned two.
I am a massive worrier and stress head!

Morning All, so no Ov for me yet. Did an opk this morning but the line is still rather faint (stronger than yesterday though so hopefully moving in the right direction). Did not dtd last night as per gyno's orders so gearing up for tonight again. DD is still playing up at night so trying to dtd with a 3 year old that does not want to go to bed is proving to be a bit tricky. Still, its got to be done!

All you google-monsters, stop it immediately, it will not do you any good!

Have a great day everyone.

HungryHorace · 14/01/2014 05:33

At least your line is getting darker, Swede.

And quickies were invented for your situation! :-)

Feeling quite ropey at the moment...I felt sick when we came to bed and still feel odd now. The constant weeing is annoying too. I only had to get up twice before about week 35 last time. I've got up twice tonight already. Sigh!

HungryHorace · 14/01/2014 05:35

Oh, and DTD EOD worked for us this time...Sunday, Tuesday, smiley on Weds, then DTD again Thursday, and that was it, stopping on CD16 equivalent. So your gynae may have a point!'

SwedeAway · 14/01/2014 06:23

Hungry - that's good to hear! I am trying to stay positive (hate the whole dtd schedule but hey ho). All out of opk's so need to get some more during my lunch break. Gyno also told me to get a pg test or two to keep at home as he wants to know the minute that I get pg...Went to the shop yesterday to buy some but decided against it as I dont want to jinx it. Stupid I know but I at least want to have a chance (ie must dtd more than once) before I can even start believing that it could be possible.

OP posts:
Monstersaurus · 14/01/2014 06:50

Tested this morning, and I seem to have a BFP! Can't quite believe it. Have some more tests so will double check tomorrow morning.

Must stop checking test is still positive.

SwedeAway · 14/01/2014 07:02

Monster that is FANTASTIC news!!! So so happy for you!!!

OP posts:
Metalhead · 14/01/2014 07:28

Great news Monster, congratulations!! Very pleased for you.

I'm feeling rubbish today, got a cold coming on and couldn't drop off last night despite being shattered, plus the constant weeing has also already started for me... bleurgh.

claudeekishi · 14/01/2014 08:08

Congratulations, monster! How exciting!

HungryHorace · 14/01/2014 08:35

Yay, Monster, 3rd cycle lucky for you too! Well done :-)

What does your DH say?

Lucyjojo · 14/01/2014 08:55

Hurray Monster!! That is amazing news! First BFP of the new thread, may there be many more!!
Hmm Swede and Hungry you've got me thinking I've over done it this cycle. I got a very positive opk yesterday and we dtd last night, as well as sun morning, so do I go again tonight and tomorrow night, or just tonight, or just tomorrow night!? Thursday, fri, sat are pretty much right offs due to our work schedule, we're like ships in the night for 3 days, so I want to make the next two days count!

HungryHorace · 14/01/2014 09:06

I'd go again tonight, Lucy, though I believe it's the DTD pre-OV which is more likely to result in a BFP. No harm trying though.

With DD we DTD the 3 days before and the day after my smiley.

BetterNotBitter · 14/01/2014 10:33

Congratulations monster great news!!!!

Id probably dtd tonight lucy & I wouldnt worry about doing it too much or too little, so many people (including me the first time round) fall pregnant by accident I'm pretty sure its just the luck of he draw, frustrating though it is! Clearly a success guaranteed schedule would be the optimum option!!

Toothpastekissesno2 · 14/01/2014 12:36

Nice new thread swede! I'm toothpastekissesno2 / ds is 15 months and I'm coming up yo 16 weeks. Got pg on cycle 2 which still astounds me as much quicker than no1.
Bitter - do u have a ds or dd? I reckon u feel much less sick with a boy! I feel almost entirely 'normal' now bar slight excess weeing, insane dreams and the sudden bouts of extreme tiredness. Oh and the bump that seems to be appearing which I prob can't now say is just the sheer amount of toast I have been eating!
Was so releived after 12 week scan and am now in tizz again. The worrying is ridiculous. Midwife apt tomorrow so holding out for that heart beat!
Mrs - don't google. Had two friends with that at twenty weeks and it changed.
Swede- I had the most sex ever when I conceived so I think go for it!
Monster - yippppeeee!!!!

Kt1991 · 14/01/2014 13:04

Yay monster congrats! How you feeling?

Windywinston · 14/01/2014 13:38

Congratulations Monster, that's brilliant news!

35 years old, DD is 18months old, conceived after TTC for 2 years. We threw caution to the wind once last year and then decided we might as well start TTC again, so I joined this thread. Turns out that that one time was all it took and am 21 weeks with DC2.

The thread was VERY lucky for me!
