Geek that's fantastic news! What a fabulous number of follies. How does carry carrying that number around feel?

geek, that's wonderful news! Well done!

cups, well done to you on the weight loss. It will all be worth it!

nurse, happy new year! Hope this is your and your BFP's year!

The CBFM (thankfully!) said Low yesterday so we are a sort of 2ww (although AF is probably due on Saturday).

musical, glad you've finally had a positive OPK! We might yet be BFP buddies in a week or two!

Yay Geek! Snigger at the GeekCave, though. Grin

Cups, yay for the weight loss!

Musical and Dino, I am BNA that in 2 weeks time there will be two lovely BFPs awaiting!

Nurse, welcome back!

Well done on follies geek

Thanks for the lovely welcome back everyone. I'm not at all against going to the GP, I suppose I felt like that meant admitting there might be a problem, but I had a word with myself, and went to see a doc yest to get the ball rolling. Now I just need to convince Mr nurse to go and "produce a sample", and wait for a scan appointment.

Of course, it's never dull in our house, and I found out today we'll be moving house in a few weeks. Oh the joys! Hubby will be delighted with that news when he gets home.

I've decided this is my year - am brooking no argument!

Report
musicalmrs · 21/01/2014 20:40

It's definitely your year Nurse. Brooking lots for you :) Moving house? Eeek, how come? Hope it's not too stressful.

Dino, being BFP buddies would be lovely! Brooking that that's the case. I think the line on the OPK was less bold today, and it definitely feels like something's been happening today, so I'm guessing I'm 2ww-ing as of.. well, tomorrow?

A bit worried about how much pain I've been in though. Normal pre-AF and early AF pain, but also cramps (and pain in the top of my legs, which is usual for me and AF). Had to resort to a hot water bottle earlier, and the pain lessened with walking- again, AF like. Wonder if that could be a cause for concern? I don't think I made a huge record of how I felt during the cycle when I conceived DD, so I wonder if this happened then (i.e. if this is my usual ovulation pain). I don't remember it happening in previous cycles before I got my BFP with her, so maybe I wasn't ovulating? Hmmm..

In case I am now in the 2ww, I've handily booked up things going on for the next couple of weekends to keep me busy Grin.

musical it's one of the disadvantages of military life. The gp asked about my stress levels, and informed me that can have an impact as if I didn't know that. I just laughed - there were no words.

Good luck with the 2ww. AF has just left me today. Hopefully she won't come back.

Sounds painful Musical. I'd be tempted not to over analyse this month though. If your body is just kick starting, you may have a whole load of strange things going on. Maybe you're just more in tune with your body now too?

So pleased you went Nurse. Have you had bloods booked as well? Ah yes, the joys of the jizz jar Wink

Oh, but you do know that moving house + visit to GP = ironic BFP don't you?!

Report
musicalmrs · 22/01/2014 12:17

Ah, what faff Nurse. Will you be moving far?

Maybe, How're you? I'm trying not to over analyse now! Looking at all the symptoms, and the two days of positive OPKs followed by a very faint line today, I'm guessing I ovulated yesterday morning. Which I'm very pleased about - hurrah for bodies actually doing something! I am slightly worried that the pain could indicate something else, but will forget about it for now - as you say, could be the kick starting - and if it's the same in a couple of months I'll get checked out.

I reckon you've just laid the mother of all eggs Musical. Or maybe two.....Grin. It's always nice to know things are working as they should be.

musical I had months where I felt very pre-AFy around ov, and other months where I felt pretty much nothing at all. The sticks sound very promising though, and I'm with maybe - that is one mother of all eggs you are laying Grin At least now you have proven you are oving, and you've got a better idea of when AF is due. I'm sure things will settle down once you've had a couple of cycles - if you don't get your BFP in the meantime to throw everything off course again!!!

nurse I forgot you're now a forces wife! Are you moving far? Will that affect your nursing job? Good for you going to the drs. I hear an ironidiff heading your way Grin

This morning's scan showed 11 follies on the bad ovary and 17 on the good one. They are all at varying sizes, seems I've got two batches brewing at different stages. I have fluid building up around my ovaries so am waiting for a call back this afternoon to let me know how much stim to take tonight (if any) and when egg collection will be. My two options for ec are either Saturday or Monday. Either way I won't make it to Tuesday! I had EC on day 13 last time so I'm not really surprised. Had blood taken to test estradiol levels so might have to go back for repeats tomorrow. Still chugging on my water and stuffing protein down my throat like there's no tomorrow.

geek, that sounds great with all those eggs. I am glad they are looking after you well and that EC is planned. How is the spreadsheet???

musical, we've not had a twin BFP for a while so I reckon you are having twins or triplets.

nurse, well done for going to GP. I hope if they find something, it is something easy to fix.

Still in the 2ww here, so we'll see what happens on Sat. In the meantime though, I am pretty pleased that I am wearing size 10 jeans again today for the first time since I was pregnant with DD2. I've lost 5.5kg since mid-December so I am feeling pretty proud of myself.

And dino?? Sounds like congratulations are in order? Is this the first BFP of the year? I swear by first response tests, always clear lines and super early on those...

keep he's so nervous bless him! He'll be fine though. He's been keeping up with his 'refreshing' so fingers crossed all will be well.

No idea loopy, it's not a 1 to 1 ratio of eggs to follies, sadly. I will be happy if I can beat 8, which is what I had on my last cycle but realistically speaking I think I'm looking at getting about the same number. As long as I have at least two decent ones, both will be going back in. Two is the max allowed, and I'm going to push for that even if they are both top quality as they said my sole survivor on day 3 last time was excellent quality and we all know how that ended.

Congrats dino!!

Sorry, had children's bedtimes to do!

Well, too early for proper congratulations yet, but I stupidly tested earlier (CD28 - I am a doctor for goodness sake, I should know better), in the middle of the afternoon, on a fast day (been 5:2 fasting) so I've been drinking lots so it was all very dilute and there is definitely a line... It isn't very bright, but there is a line. [very tentative smile]

I'll come back tomorrow morning and let you know what is happening!

geek, I don't blame him for being nervous. I was sitting waiting to have bloods done when I was pregnant with DD2 and saw a sign to the "Andrology Room". I thought to myself about all those poor chaps having to go in there!
