Thanks Scarlett I will try (on my phone so month sure if I can). He's still amazed that it's still moving. I think he thought there would be a bit at the beginning but then nothing :) he was amazed that it reached America (thank you Whims) and couldn't believe how many people had seen it. Was also quite embarrassed when I told him even if I deleted mine you all still had yours, then showed him a really embarrassing picture and asked how he would feel if it was that being shared! Right now I'm not his favourite parent Grin

Scarlett yay for AF getting back to normal Grin

Boo I've shared it, bless teen Boo getting his head turned by a pretty girl. It was so much easier back in our day. I didn't even have a mobile until I was 19!

Morning Brookers,

I'm enjoying my first weekend off work. I finished work on Friday night, I've got a week off and then it's time for new job!

I went out last night for a belated Christmas party with my old work mates. I'm feeling a tad hungover this morning! Oh well hopefully that will be the last time I drink for about a year anyway so I'm making the most of this hangover Grin

How's everyone doing? I hope your all having a nice weekend.

Boo to the hangover Cups but pleased you had a good time. And you are right, make the most of your last one Wink

I do believe Scarlett and Geek may be feeling a little delicate too....

Everyone's feeling a bit worse for wear..? What's been going on..? I've clearly missed out - have been working all weekend.

Scarlett, did AF appear on schedule?

Nothing much to report here. Lines are looking a little darker, so hopefully that's progress..!

Boo, I loved the idea of sharing the pic to show teen Boo how far things can travel. Lots of parents (my dad, for example, and stepmother, who have 3 kids 12 and under) wouldn't have the faintest clue about FB and sharing. You rock!

How is everyone else getting on? Suffering from back-to-work-itis? I am finding it incredibly hard to get up in the mornings - my brain keeps thinking I'm still on holiday. If only!

Geek and Cups, thinking of you over the next few weeks!

We're not very chatty at the moment, are we?! How is everyone? Life seems to be very hectic so a free moment to MN and catch up is a rare treat!

The Clearblue OPK is still saying High for me and it is Day 19. I don't mind not getting a BFP at the moment, but it would be nice to know that everything is back to normal. (Mind you, I never got a Peak with DD2...)

cups and geek, this is all very exciting! We are Brooking No Argument!

Just checking in to say good luck for tomorrow's appointment Geek! I'm very excited for you Smile

It's so quiet in here lately. Dino my CBFM always gives me lots of highs. I'm normally exhausted by the time I get a peak!!

Too how are you doing? Have you had your scan yet?

I'm having a bit of a rough day. I've just found out my best friend is pregnant. It wasn't really planned. She was very sensitive when telling me and has been so supportive during our ttc journey. I feel so sad as I feel like I'm losing her. God I'm even more desperate for my IVF to work now Sad

Oh Cups lovely, that's so tough on you. How are you feeling? I am keeping everything crossed for this cycle. How are you feeling about it all?

Good luck Geek!!

Dino I'm so excited for you! Are you feeling excited?

Musical how are things with you? Those lines still getting stronger?

musical - scarlett and I put the world to rights over a bottle of wine, hence the hangover. Twas a lovely meet-up, scarlett is a fabulous brooker and is most definitely not a big fat scary beardy bloke. She did just stand and watch me walk straight past her though Grin

cups not long to go for you now lovely, you'll be joining me in the stabby fun a fortnight today I think?

Sorry for lack of recent chattiness, all appears to be pretty good in the GeekCave at the moment. Thanks so much for all your well wishes, I really appreciate them all xxx hopefully, stabbing will start tomorrow for me, and my final implant will be given with or without meltdown when the surgery once again tell me there's nobody willing/qualified to give it

oh cups that's hard. but I am brooking that it's in fact going be be lovely as you'll be on mat leave together. how far along is she?

good luck for tomorrow geek Grin

DinoSnores · 14/01/2014 20:08

cups, that is hard but I am glad that she was sensitive about telling you. I do hope that this means mat leave together!

geek, good luck for the stabbing tomorrow!

maybe, I'm not quite excited, more thinking we are being really daft! DS has stopped napping so is struggling with tiredness in the afternoon which then makes him really grumpy, so I'm not sure how we would manage if I was pregnant and vomiting. Ah well, we'll worry about that if it happens!

Cups, that's tough :( How're you feeling? This will be your cycle though, and you will be on maternity leave together :)

Geek good luck for tomorrow!

Dino, very exciting. But difficult to work out what's going on I suppose. Are these in date tests now, or still old ones..? Could that be affecting it?

Maybe not sure what's happening with the lines. They were getting darker, but not sure about the last two. Not sure if that means I've already ovulated, or if I won't.. Meh. Feeling a bit rubbish about it all, so eating copious amounts of chocolate. Mini eggs to encourage my own mini eggs along.. Grin

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 14/01/2014 23:32

Musical I really wish mini eggs helped with our eggs as I bloody love them. They are my favourite easter chocs.

Geek AF is due in 7-10 days so hopefully not long to wait now. I reckon I'll start just as you trigger! Sounds like you and Scarlett had a great night Envy

My friend is 9 weeks, so still early days. I've not seen her for a few weeks and she's been pestering me to meet up as she was desperate to tell us. I feel much better about it all now after speaking to DH. I was being silly as I know I won't lose her really.

Dino you will be fine I'm sure when you get your BFP as you are a Brooker and you will have a smooth uneventful pregnancy Smile

Well I've started my IVF diet today to help get me in the right frame of mind for when I do start. Lots of fruit, veg, protein, water and milk. I'm so bloated! I'm also starting acupuncture again on Thursday.

cups I'm glad you're feeling better after your talk with DH. It's so bloody hard. I reckon you'll be stimming long before I trigger, I went 13 days last time I think (it might have been 14, can't remember).

Thanks for all the well wishes, I'm just about to get my stuff together then head off to the clinic.

Thinking of you Geek!

Maybe, CD16 here. Can the surge be as quick as one morning/afternoon, and then disappear back to faint lines afterwards? (I know very little about ovulation test thingies!). If so.. then maybe! Haven't felt any ovulation twinges, but then again I can't remember if I did when TTC DD. Last month I just over analysed every twinge Grin.

Either way, at least my LH levels are doing something - which is always a plus :)

Report
ControlGeek · 15/01/2014 12:44

Thank you too and maybe Smile

musical Like maybe I've done a rake of experiments with OPK timings and found that I only ever caught my surge first thing in the morning, though it was significantly darker than normal usually on either the day before or the day after. In theory it is possible to miss the surge completely, especially if you are drinking at all during the day - I think you're supposed to not drink for at least 4 hours before testing. Perhaps get a big bag of cheapies and try at different times? The levels do go up and down throughout the month anyway, but usually not to the level of your surge unless you have pcos. Hang on in there, it'll happen when you're least expecting it to Grin

Quick post as I'm supposed to be working from home until my appointment in a couple of hours. The scan went really well, the nurse commented on my lovely thin lining (they've never said that before, normally the complete opposite even right at the start of my cycle). My fibroid has gone down from 5cmx5cm to 3cmx4cm. I have a healthy number of follies on each ovary (they don't count them at my clinic) and...

...my good ovary is hanging low, right where it's supposed to be!!!! I know they can move around a lot during the cycle but this is surely a very good start.

I have my first stabbing session this evening. The cons has upped my menopur from 150 to 225 per day I have to be extra vigilant about OHSS and drink copious quantities of water daily. First scan is on day 6, next Monday.
