Geek fab news on the fibroid and good to hear that ovary is behaving itself! What a great start. Get drinking your water missy! I'm permanently carrying my water bottle around with me to remind me to drink.

Music I found when using ovulation sticks that I did sometimes miss my surge even though I ovulate regularly. I also only seemed to get dark lines if I tested in the afternoon.

That's amazing news Geek!!! Woohoo! I'm so chuffed your ovaries are playing ball!! I bet you're feeling so relieved. Don't worry you much about the upped dose, they'll be keeping a close eye on you.

Cups when is your next appointment?

musical you may well just have missed the surge. And don't forget, the tests are notoriously unreliable anyway. Have you ever tried temping to see what's going on? I found that way more reliable.

Musical you might find your cycles are a lot longer than before. So far I have had a 45 day cycle, a 41 day cycle and am currently on CD31 and not sure if I have ovulated yet. Not using ovulation tests , and only taken BBT's for part of the cycle so fertility friend hasn't a clue where I am at either yet!

All sounds promising geek, fingers crossed for you

Geek that's excellent news re the ovary playing ball! Grin

Thanks Geek, Maybe and Cups for the OPK information. So I either missed the surge... or there's not been one yet and the levels have just gone up and down a bit. Hmm!

I have a big bag of cheapies (the ones you recommended!), and may well try testing twice a day next cycle. Or if the LH appears to start rising again!

Loopy, I suspect my cycles could easily be out of whack (although they got back to normal quite quickly last time I came off of the pill, but I didn't have a DD and hadn't been BFing then!). I was using the OPKs to try and see if something was happening. Something has happened, but I don't know if it's a surge (with no strong positive bit!) that I've partly missed, or just a small wave Wink. Either way, something's happening, which is good at least!

Maybe, I temped when TTC DD, but always did it first thing in the morning, and was aware it may not be too accurate if DD woke me up at silly o clocks. However, Geek (I think?) has since mentioned that you can do it during waking hours.. and I forgot last cycle, and haven't been able to find my thermometer.. until this afternoon! I suppose doing them this cycle isn't particularly useful now.. so maybe for the next one!

Just coming past to remind geek to drink some more water!

Day 21 here and still reading high.

Hope you've had a good rest, scarlett, and are feeling more energetic today!

Blimey Dino! Any idea as to what it could mean?

Nothing going on here. Not even a hint of a line this morning, so I'm suspecting either the levels are going up and down, or I did ovulate and just missed the surge (or there wasn't one!). It's a mystery.. more OPK experiments next month..

Geek, hope you're drinking lots! That reminds me - no, I haven't been not-drinking for 4 hours before taking the tests - can't go for that long without a drink. They also say on them not to do them first thing in the morning.. but that's the only time I haven't drunk for a few hours! Suspect I've skewed them all. Oops..!

3 litres and counting, plus 1 litre of decaf coffee at lunchtime. I'm thinking of moving my desk into the loos Blush

dino are you using a CBFM or similar? If so, once it registers a high (even an accidental or false one), it continues to give you a high reading every day until it registers a peak.

Thank you scarlet lovely, no tears this time, all quite drama free! Almost had tears at injection time though - it flipping hurt! Kudos to you for the sheer quantity you had to pump into yourself, I'm up from 150 to 225 and finding it a struggle.

Oops, home time, got to go! xx

I am indeed using a CBFM, geek, and really just because the strips went out of date at the end of December. We are just exhausted but feel obliged to obey it! Wink musical, I'm not too worried. When I had DD2's BFP, it was my first and only month of using it before and I don't remember getting a Peak there either. Actually I might go back and see what I wrote here about that.

Well done geek for managing these injections. It is all a means to a wonderful end. I am Brooking that it be so!

Just went to find the old thread and, um, I appear to have something in my eye. DH thinks it is a bit odd the way I was alternating laughing loudly and a few tears rolling down my cheeks.

Aww Dino, tears here too having read that old Fred. I know what you mean about feeling obliged to obey it.. I told DH we'd DTD every other day until we were sure I'd ovulated (if that ever happened)... he's not impressed that I'm clueless Grin

Geek, that's an impressive amount of water. I'd be living on the loo if I were you..

Omg will somebody please slap me with a wet fish? I've just started updating day 2 of my water-drinking and wee-logging spreadsheet and it suddenly crossed my mind that this is not a normal thing to do!!!!

In my defence, I'm feeling rather paranoid about ohss.

Report
DinoSnores · 17/01/2014 09:53

geek, a spreadsheet?! I can't imagine it is entirely normal, but if it is making you feel better and giving you something else to focus on, I can't see the harm! Grin

Ahh I'm feeling nostalgic after reading the old thread. I miss Imps and her gymnastic displays and imp fingers Hmm
We need another triple whammy!

Geek you are as you know a complete and utter geek! I'm not much better, I've got a chart on my blackboard to tick off my water, milk, protein and fruit and veg for the day Blush how's the injections going? Are you on menopur and cetrotide then? When's your first scan?

AFM I'm on CD 24 waiting for AF which is most likely due next Thursday. I then have to call the clinic to check they can fit me in (they better Angry). If it's going ahead I should start the injections by day 3. I went to my new work yesterday to meet the team. I managed to get my manager on her own and told her about the IVF. She seemed a bit clueless but said it was ok for me to come in late or have the day off when needed.
Last night I went for my first acupuncture, the guy doing it was very good. He was really knowledgable about ttc and infertility. I slept so well last night as I was so relaxed Smile
