cups yay to new boss being clueless but good about it all. Glad your acupuncture went well, too. I keep thinking about going but it's so much money. I can't believe your clinic can still say no after everything they have put you through already.

I daren't just track input as the OHSS leaflet said a sign was reduced output regardless of input. The nurse said she was anxious abut ohss given my circumstances so I'm taking it a bit too very seriously. I'm not tracking my protein, fruit and veg, as I'm just making sure I load my plate with that. I don't normally eat at all during the day so I'm making sure I bring in meat salads and fruit to nibble at my desk. Last night's injection was much better than the previous day's, think I just hit a bad spot that first time.

ControlGeek · 17/01/2014 11:14

PS cups I'm very jealous of you having a blackboard. I feel I should get a blackboard or a whiteboard at home, a la big bang theory Grin

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 17/01/2014 11:24

Thanks Maybe Smile

Geek I have health insurance which pays 50% of the acupuncture. It has a limit of £250 a year. It means I can have quite a few sessions as it's £30 a time. If I didn't have that I don't think I could justify it. Especially as it's just cost me £550 to get my car through it's MOT Shock

My blackboard is really a kitchen chalkboard so not too much to be jealous about. It's normally constantly in use as a to do list for MrCup. I run a tight ship over here at cupcake HQ!

Glad to hear the injections are going ok. You are doing everything you can to reduce the risk of OHSS so I'm sure you will be fine.

Ahh Geek I love the spreadsheet and the timing! As long as it doesn't take over your life, all's good. I'm sure it's just your way of processing and managing everything that's going on - and trying to take control of one of the things you can help with while this crazy process is going on.

Cups they WILL fit you in this time. I can't believe they could turn you away again. Hurrah for getting to talk to your new manager - I'm sure she appreciates the heads up, and will become less clueless time goes on!

GreenOlives · 17/01/2014 14:02

Thanks for the link to the old thread dino It had me smiling and crying simultaneously! Grin I can't quite believe that the triple whammy was 19 months ago now! And that those 2 lines on sticks are now little people approaching their first birthday Shock
I would love to see another triple whammy for some other brookers - I'd even attempt an imps type display! Grin
I don't post that much anymore but I always keep up to date with all your news and I'm always brooking away for you all! Smile

ScarlettInSpace · 17/01/2014 18:02

[Hmm] so my treatments all failed because I didn't have a spreadsheet.
Or a blackboard.
Dammit.

ScarlettInSpace · 17/01/2014 18:04

Oh and old thread just depressed me Sad that I am still no better off, got as far as page 2.

DinoSnores · 17/01/2014 21:45

I am sorry, scarlett. I wouldn't want it to upset you. Here, have a hug and some Wine.

ScarlettInSpace · 17/01/2014 22:35

dino snot your fault I'm a bitter grumpy old cow! But thanks for the stealth hug and cheers Wine

Oooh look a spreadsheet Smile

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 18/01/2014 10:08

Scarlett I know how you feel. I read the old thread with a tinge of sadness as well. It's hard thinking that 18 months ago I was already on this assisted conception road and I feel no closer to having a baby. Hope the wine helped Wine

Don't feel bad though Dino as triple whammy day was very special for all 3 of you as you had all had a very difficult time in the run up to getting those BFPs and we were all so happy for you.

Well I'm getting all my usual pre AF signs. I just need everyone to brook that AF doesn't arrive before Tuesday morning as I really can't miss Monday and Tuesday at work as I need to attend some training.

OP posts:
DinoSnores · 18/01/2014 17:46

cups, brooking for a late AF arrival for you. (And indeed for AF to stay well away from you, scarlett, and geek for a long, long time.)

Day 23 here and still High on the CBFM. Don't think I imagine before I got married that there would be days that I would think, "What? We have to do that AGAIN???" Wink

DD is teething so nights are a bit disturbed here, but on a high note, I've been doing 5:2 fasting for over a month now and lost 9lbs, so I am really pleased with that. I'm definitely feeling a lot fitter and more energetic as a result.

musicalmrs · 18/01/2014 21:33

Also brooking for a late AF for you Cups.

Still high Dino?! Are you aiming to DTD every high day? If so, maybe the Bartlet award may have to be repurposed for dedicated rat smacking..!

A smigeon of a OPK line on Fri, so not sure what's going on. Didn't get to test today so will try again tomorrow. Have felt a bit odd and AF-y - ovulation maybe? Then again, I'm sure I said that twice a week throughout my last cycle, so I'm still as clueless as ever..!

musicalmrs · 18/01/2014 21:33

Oh and congratulations on the weight loss - that's fab! I'm not supposed to lose weight, but desperately need to do some toning up - my stomach is shocking..

DinoSnores · 18/01/2014 23:20

"Are you aiming to DTD every high day?"

Gosh, no! Neither of us have the energy! Although, it would surely count as exercise for My Fitness Pal, no? Wink

CD35 here and me and fertility friend still have no idea what my body is doing. I had what I thought was fertile cm a tad earlier in my cycle and then it dried up, so I thought I might have ovulated, I now seem to have cm again, and aches/cramps, which could be because I am about to ovulate, or would fit in timing wise with implantation if I did ovulate earlier in the cycle. I don't get cramps before AF so don't think it is that, but then again it could be just to confuse me more! Starting to wish I had bought some ov stips now although they sound like they aren't always the answer based on what you guys are saying!

anactualnurse · 19/01/2014 21:31

Hello everyone, just wanted to pop in and say hello while I had a spare 5 mins. I haven't had time to keep up with the threads, but wanted to wish everyone a happy new year!!

Am still no further forward, and very frustrated. My friend is trying to talk me into a visit to the GP, but I'm holding out for as long as I can.

I'm well and truly settled into life with Mr Nurse, although with shifts and military courses, there are still times when we're apart.

Anyways, I remain hopeful (most of the time). Keep brooking for me peeps xx

ControlGeek · 19/01/2014 22:12

nurse!!!!!

musicalmrs · 20/01/2014 12:33

Nurse! Lovely to see you. How are you? Shifts and courses must make timing hard. :( Brooking lots for you.

Geek, how're you feeling?

Cups, any sign of AF?

I finally got a positive on the ov stick this morn! HURRAH! Used FMU, which they do say not to do, but I was only getting faint lines before, so I presume morning just works well for me? Feeling very AF-y, so it's good to know that's now potentially an ovulation symptom too. So glad my body's actually potentially working!

Unless of course I go on to get positives for a zillion days in a row like Dino Wink

ControlGeek · 20/01/2014 12:59

musical yay for the OPK+!!!! I was amazed when I first started testing at the things I put down to pre-AF actually being ov-related, too. I can't help thinking how many cycles I must have missed in the years before I started OPK testing, turning down MrG's advances on the basis that AF was imminent and I was feeling grotty with it (then of course two weeks of no-show).

All is good in the GeekCave. It was my day 6 scan today and I have 11 decent sized (10x10mm+) follies on my good ovary - the biggest was 16x18mm - and 6 measurable decent sized ones on the bad. The bad one is surrounded by dense tissue so she couldn't measure all of them - she could see there were more there, but not where their boundaries were if that makes sense. I have a lovely plump lining (8mm I think she said). I have some fluid building up around my bad ovary so need to keep up with the extreme water drinking. I'm also upping my salty food intake to try and encourage the water to move back into/stay in my bloodstream.

Because I'm responding much quicker this cycle, I have to reduce my stims from tomorrow and I'll have another scan on Wednesday instead of just waiting for my day 10 scan on Friday. They might start testing my estradiol levels from Wednesday too, depending on what they see on the scans. I really hope I don't have to coast this cycle, I was paranoid about the effect on egg quality when I had to do that last time.

keepitgoing · 20/01/2014 13:18

oh geek well done that's brilliant!! Grin

SantaMaybe · 20/01/2014 13:22

Oh Geek this is amaing news!!!! I'm so excited for you!

Nurse it's so good to see you. How are you? Glad you are settling into a good routine now with MrN. Living with a shift worker, I can totally sympathise. Are you against going to see the GP?

Good news about the OPK Musical!

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 20/01/2014 16:13

Nurse lovely to see you. Glad you and MrNurse are all settled into living together. Don't give hope, now you are in the same area hopefully it won't be too long until your BFP!

Geek fantastic scan news! Keep on hitting the water. Get some salty chips. God I could really eat some chips. I'm trying to desperately drop a few pounds before IVF. I've managed 3 pounds since Thursday.

No sign of AF here yet, I reckon it will be a few days yet which is good to give me some time to get settled at work.

Cups was it your first day today? How did it go? Well done on the weight loss! Brooking AF turns up at an appropriate time Smile
