Cartoon please don't feel upset, with so many brookers coming back for a second (third?!) time round it's probably a natural progression for the thread, it's just a bit more of a difficult change for some of us.

Keep please don't apologise my lovely, I'm just super scared of jinxing anything. I keep swinging between believing this is it, and reading pregnancy boards and thinking about nurseries and maternity clothes and maternity wedding gowns! To the next minute realising I'm not even at the four week mark yet and having an anxiety attack about how I'll cope if I anything goes wrong, which there is still a chance it might do.

I did, hoever, use my last frer today. The line started changing colour even before the control line!

cartoontrickster · 20/08/2014 08:31

that's brilliant the line is getting stronger! have the clinic been testing your levels?
I understand how difficult it is knowing so early. its the longest time of your life. I guess you have to try and ignore all the negative thoughts push them away and keep your eyes on the prize.
you will be with bump before you know it and what's this about a wedding gown?!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 20/08/2014 08:42

I am loving the look of those lines Geek Grin

Maternity gowns!! Wohoo!! So chuffed for you x

Keep that's odd. Did they say why that was?

keepitgoing · 20/08/2014 09:05

ooh a wedding too!! Grin time passes so so slowly, but it looks like you have a high hcg which is a great sign, and odds really are in your favour. I know you're getting a blood test tomorrow, will you also get one 48 hours later? I was given a 5 week scan. just to check it was in the right place, then you can see the heart from 6 weeks. I can see your poas obsession turn to a scan obsession (look at me, I'm a black pot Grin )

no they didn't say maybe I know next to nothing about how the private system works here. can't see why the gp would care. on the good side a fet is 'only' £850 medicated £600 non medicated (which I'd rather)

keepitgoing · 20/08/2014 09:07

ooh I've just looked not on the app so I can see those two beautiful lines Grin Grin

keepitgoing · 20/08/2014 09:10

also geek the only thing that kept me sane (!) was just taking it step by step, day by day, scan by scan. I didn't think about having a baby, rather than being pregnant, for ages.

brooks harder for geekette(s)

Solars · 20/08/2014 09:46

Oh wow Geek I am so unbelievably happy for you!! This is amazing news and twins to boot Wink Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks How are you and MrG doing? I can understand all the mixed emotions you must be having but this is your time now lovely Geek

So lovely to see so many of you on this thread.

Has Imps got her appointment soon?

And Far how are you doing? Heard back from ARGC yet? They usually get back with an appointment quite quickly.

Keep most private practices do like to see a referral letter from your NHS gp. How are doing lovely?

Arrggtg A's just up from his nap.....try and get back later....

farfallarocks · 20/08/2014 10:54

geek that is the best news whoop whoop!!! I tested positive with DD before 4 weeks and it did make the first 12 weeks long but its a really positive sign to be getting such strong BFPs so early. I do love a good FRER!

Sweetie the twins sound wonderful :)

I bet its twins!

We need imps to perform some acrobatics now :)

solars, yes have first appointment in September and my lovely GP has agreed to do the long list of tests beforehand (hep c, hiv etc)
Their latest stats are out, 80% success rate for my age group which is amazing so I think we have made our mind up to try them. I also have an appointment at Guys to compare notes. Their stats are nowhere near as impressive but I have 3 friends who had success there first time (And its close to work!).

NoMaybeAboutIt · 20/08/2014 13:39

That's cheaper than our clinic Keep, sounds good!

solars how are you lovely?!

That's an amazing success rate Far!

Solars · 20/08/2014 14:37

Hello lovely Maybe I'm doing really well! still feeling really blessed to have A with us! A is keeping me extremely busy but loving it all the same! How are you doing lovely??

Wow those stats are really good Far and glad to hear your gp is sorting out your tests as it can all get very expensive! And a good idea to compare notes too!

ControlGeek · 20/08/2014 20:18

Keep that really is amazingly cheap, my uk clinic charge something nearer 2.5-3k for fet.

So lovely to see you Solars, really pleased you and A are doing well.

This might have to be my last post until I get home, mn have changed their mobile site and it's flipping awful! I'm trying to use the desktop version but the adverts are churning through my data.

Morning sickness and joint and muscle aches have kicked in with a vengeance. Little geeklette(s!) settling in rather too quickly for my liking! Check back on you all on Friday when I'm back in blighty, really looking forward to imps' routine!

Love to you all Flowers

keepitgoing · 20/08/2014 20:58

Grin Grin impsGrin

geek what blood test result news from today lovely? x

NoMaybeAboutIt · 22/08/2014 10:01

Imps that was amazing Grin

ControlGeek · 23/08/2014 13:30

Imps that was a truly awesome display, thank you!!! I feel like a proper grad now Grin

Sorry to keep you waiting, that new mobile site is utterly awful coupled with going down with a 24hr d&v bug just in time to fly home. My blood test came back at a hcg level of 90.99, which is a pretty awesome result for a day 12 test. It is a perfectly normal if high level for a singleton pregnancy thank you very much ladies!!! but it's also bang on range for a twin pregnancy too

I had more blood drawn today to do a 48 hour comparison, and I'll get the results of that around 10/11am tomorrow morning. The pee sticks are still getting darker, so I am very happy with how things are progressing.

I can't believe I've had to dig out my woolly pullies, it's freezing over here after the 30+ temperatures in Spain!

keepitgoing · 23/08/2014 18:37

oh geek that's wonderful news and a great level for 12dpo. I'm brooking for tomorrow's results of course but it sounds all good. I'm so pleased for you. I guess we'll have to wait a few weeks to find out how many are in there. sweetie do you remember your levels?

saw the lovely sparks yesterday Grin

ControlGeek · 25/08/2014 12:19

Just to finish this fred on a high note (I'll also pop a note on the new fred), my beta levels went from 90 on Thursday (12dpo) to 313 on Saturday (14dpo). That is a wee bit more than doubling - but at least it is going very much in the right direction! I asked the nurse who gave me the results if there was such a thing as the levels increasing too quickly, and she said no Grin

NoMaybeAboutIt · 25/08/2014 22:04

I'm so so chuffed for you lovely Smile
