Conception

Come and join us on the brand new, rather fabulous, and very slightly notorious (or so we'd like to think!) JUST SHAGGING PART 19!!

Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo
~~~~~~~
ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.
Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!
Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.
Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).
POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!
Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.
Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.
Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.
Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!
Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP
TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture!
The current Grads Fred is here
The rather nobbish article in which we become a little bit notorious is here Grin
Happy shagging shaggers!
Nice to meet you too Essie Smile I'm the same... punching me in the arm is often better than a hug especially if you don't like crying women. I am not an attractive cryer either haha.
The link to the article is on the first post just at the bottom. enjoy xx
Oh did you miss it essie? Sure someone will link you (on phone so I can't) but basically some knob head jorno went looking for the 'seedy underbelly of MN' and we were the worst he could come up with!
rach - there is something in pineapple that supposedly helps with implantation if eaten between dpo 1-5. If you eat too much of it before ov though it can make the foof too acidic so only have after ov. I have no evidence it works. Tried it last month and nothing and had it this month on two days after ov so will see!
Pot safely handed over to clinic now. Only slightly awkward! Mainly because DH was with me, which is right and his choice, but then at one stage you are essentially in a room with a nurse holding a full pot and an 'empty' DH and everyone knows how both occurred IYSWIM!
Picked up a brochure about infertility while I was there. There's a monthly support group apparently but wondering how infertile you would have to be to fit in there really. I'm still at investigation stage so probs too early.
good to hear things are moving forward now dulcet
Essie try and stay positive. focus on getting to the next appointment
can't remember who asked about pineapple but its bromelain, mist concentrated in the core, that aids implantation. cut the pineapple into 5 inlc core and eat on 1-5 dpo only. excess bromelain is thought to cause miscarriage in some cultures so don't eat more than 5days. but it didn't work for me so...Hmm
well if anyone needs me I'll be heating up the pity jacuzzi... no prizes for guessing why Sad
That sucks Essie, but if it helps, according to the NHS only 84/100 fertile couples will conceive in the first year trying, so it may just be bad luck for you and DH rather than a busted foof? Really hope so anyway! I guess it can't hurt to get your cape on either way, though I'm sure it gets pretty dispiriting, and I know I'd be v.stressed a year in ? BTW there's a link to the JSing article at the bottom of the OP!
I'm guessing the witch has turned up lil? Boo!!!
I am dying to get back to JSing, believe it or not me & DH have not done the deed since I found out I was pregnant! I didn't feel like it, and DH didn't mind too much, I'd hoped we could start again in 2nd tri, but then bad scan, extra MC worries, etc.
Now it's over a week since the TFMR and I am most definitely ready to get my cape on again (and so is DH!!) but doctors orders are another week before we're allowed. Four months! We may not get back out if bed once we get in it ?
hello - most impressed by the notoriety, esp the bit about being only two clicks away from a discussion about CM. that's the way we like it, huh?!
If anyone wants a pant-snot update I'm always ready to offer.
Thanks nessa and rach.
hope the next 5days go quickly for u nessa - what cape will you be donning for the occasion?
cookielove · 11/11/2013 17:19
Erm quick question.
You know those opk's none of us are using. Is a negative no line at all or a faint line?
Report
lil1ady · 11/11/2013 17:49
faint line is negative. has to be as string as control
Report
lil1ady · 11/11/2013 17:49
*strong...and when I'm not using them I get a couple of faints before an obviously positive one. hope that helps
Report
Nessalina · 11/11/2013 19:18
Yep, when I haven't used them I've tended to keep them and line them up (much to DHs disgust!) which helps to see the line darkening. It's hard to tell when you're just looking at one if it's darker or lighter than the day before! I also didn't use them twice a day around likely icing time, and got the darkest line on an evening pee, much darker than lunchtime the same day! Smile
Lil I'm thinking something quite festive, red velvet with a white faux fur trim perhaps?
We're only allowed recreational JSing until my official first ERTD rolls in unfortunately, but I'm looking forward to it nevertheless!! Grin
Yup yup i was more wondering about can you ever get only the control line as I've had a positive and a faint negative but not ever one line only. Does that make sense?
Report
Nessalina · 11/11/2013 20:04
I'm not sure you can only get the control line actually, because unlike HCG (which HPTs detect) there is always a low level of lutenising (sp?) hormone in your system. It's the surge of the hormone that indicates that you're about to OV. So you will mostly see a dark control line and a light test line indicating a 'negative' and will only see a dark test line on the day before OV!
Gah - I've ditched the relly. Annoying so and so. Now wonder the world is in the state it's in. Gah!
Hello Jen and Flymo and any other newbies I've missed.
I always thought the line had to be as dark as the control line for it to be a positive. That's what a friend told me anyway. . .
Zing- don't be daft! As others have said it's only RL where people get upset and that's because WE CAN SEE THEM. Grin 7 is more than a handful for sure. Well done on sticking with it!
I keep daydreaming about Baby Bear. I know it's wrong and it might all go horribly wrong, but I can't help myself. It's my only bit of hope. Hooya needed please!
Report
DulcetMoans · 11/11/2013 21:38
I thought you couldn't get one line either cos I never saw it but then was talking to my friend and she used the same ICs and had one lines at parts of her cycle so maybe you can? Maybe that is where there is barely any LH for some people? Just supposing, I don't know for sure.
Liking the festive cape nessa. Might get myself one of those!
Report
lil1ady · 11/11/2013 21:40
cookie I get only the control line. I only get faint/strong lines with it for 3or 4 days but its true u always have lh. its the surge you are looking for.
I guess people do have different levels! Even at the highest level my test line never got quite as dark as my control line, I was only sure it was 'the surge' because I'd kept all the sticks and it went faint again the next day. Only used them for that one month and it was the month I got upduffed!
Not that I'll be using them again this time. Oh no. They is contraband. Wink
I bloody loves this thread. t'aint often you can talk about pant snot in polite company!
OH has a plan... he wants us to get upduffed in Scotland in particular he wants us to sneak off and shag in a state room on Britannia so we can name our baby BritanniaGrin
Suppose it's better than getting up the pole round the back of KFC!
