Come and join us on the brand new, rather fabulous, and very slightly notorious (or so we'd like to think!) JUST SHAGGING PART 19!!

Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo
~~~~~~~
ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.
Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!
Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.
Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).
POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!
Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.
Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.
Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.
Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!
Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP
TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture!
The link to Part 18 is here
The current Grads Fred is here
The rather nobbish article in which we become a little bit notorious is here Grin
Happy shagging shaggers!
Hey ladies, been lurking a lot recently, so over the past 2 weeks I have been knackered in bed by 9 each night including weekends and asleep by 10, my appetite has massively increased coupled with a little queasiness and several bouts of extreme lightheadedness. So went to Docs yesterday, she said"i think you're pregnant" but with 3 BFN's she asked me to test there and then. Well could I Pee? Could I eck! 20 mins I tried to pee for, the receptionist found it hilarious, so did I! Was sent home with a test and told to let her know tmw what results are, well when i finally did pee, and by this time had drink a litre of water, BFN again. One thing that's really odd is that for the last 10 yrs my Blood pressure has always been low 112/45 yesterday it was 141/78 which is classed as normal but a big jump for me. So no BFP, loads of symptoms, and an empty pee pot later, no answers. Stay tuned for the next instalment tmw. Ps i have an Ikea TV stand that has lasted 8 yrs and 3 house moves!
gnomie fingers crossed!
cookie fingers crossed!
And me, legs crossed. I'm bored of ttcing. It's finally hit me.
What's especially vile is the way Mr Minion said I was becoming obsessed as I wanted to try OPKs just to make sure I could ovulate. Then when talking about a house we are viewing in a village, this Saturday, he says 'and it's close to good schools'... Yeah so what? You kinda have to have a rugrat to put in it first.
I'm not even kidding how ragey I was.
So, one is folding away her cape. It's in a vacuum bag so it's fresh for when I can be arsed to whip it out again. I'm now jsing just for the hell of it.
I'll keep in touch though, if that's ok?
Fingers crossed for the first thread BFP's
DP is a taxi driver, yesturday he picked up a midwife & spent the whole journey asking the poor woman about TTC & labour. He came home last night very pleased with all the new stuff he'd learnt nothing I didn't already know but nice to know he really is interested! Smile
Report
thelentil · 13/11/2013 11:07
Hmmm, figured it would be best, don't think TTC would go down well with bosses, and if it never happens I would have harmed my job prospects for nothing. If BFP does happen, I plan to blame pies for as long as possible, after 2 MCs I tend to assume it won't last
ERPC/TMFRs were done at weekends and docs/scans early mornings so didn't really need to do fake excuses
That's intriguing Gnomie! I have heard about that sort of thing happening - they can do a preg test with blood I think if the pee test doesn't work. Apparently some ladies just don't produce enough HCG to trigger a HPT... I hope that's the case for you anyway!!
Ugh, it sucks doesn't it Minion. Sounds like JSing for fun might give you a bit of a break... Men have such double standards, mine will look all google-eyed at babies, then on nights when it's vital we get our capes on, he'll be tired all of a sudden... Well, that was when we were trying last time. I think now he's had a taste of it he'll be more keen to get back where we were!
thelentil sorry you work in such am unsupportive place. I had a bad reaction to the GA but was so all over the shop after the CMP. I had 3 weeks off then four weeks phased return. My manager at the time is one of my best friends though!
Got a job interview next week, v pleased abt it but bit weird as in twot and feels strange to half want a bfn in case they want me! All in good time I guess.
Hi all I'm back again after a sabbatical... Last month was really not our month. Congratulations to the BFPs I've missed and fingers crossed for the rest of you :)
Anywhoo, I'm back mainly because I have some random questions and since this thread is the chattiest I figured here would be a good place to stay since I don't hold out much hope that doctor Google will help any. About the pant snot (lol) that means fertile right? And it's stretchy and see through? As much as I felt really weird for twisting up toilet paper and sticking it in the used paper to see if it was stretchy it's the first time in my life I've seen pant snot for real (once I knew what it was and what it means) And also following the finding of the pant snot I proceeded to jump the DP and not long after I had almost crippling pains in my right side when I stood up... It felt like my appendix was bursting all over again. Any experience with anything like this? :)
Also have I missed roll call again? If not:
Oh no minion, men are rubbish sometimes all the bloody time
I had a week booked off work when I found out on the Tuesday I had mc. Went back just under 2 weeks later, my boss was good and gave me three days holiday back as they thought I probably had a rather shit time off.
Those of you who have had a mc did you get the genetic testing and if yes how long did it take to get the result?
Did another test this am, and there is another faint line, but pretty sure it's just a dodgy test cause it takes a while for the line to appear! And its very faint.
Evening all! Jaffa cakes on the way round I hope? You can keep the punches though, been bustled about enough today in the big smoke.
AF due tomorrow but by estimated ov time (if I even ov!) I think Friday is more likely. At least I am getting towards knowing one way or the other, feels like a long month.
Good luck with the job interview juniper! Do you want it?
Report
Nessalina · 13/11/2013 23:29
Cookie, if the line appears within 10mins it doesn't matter how long the line takes to appear, that's still a positive! You can't just be having a run of 'dodgy' tests! Grin
Thanks dulcet. It's all a bit of a mind melt. I would like to move on but if I am pg I can't leave here as will have no employment rights and would like mat pay and so on. But imagine getting a BFP, turning it down and then it's a chemical or something Shock so just waiting to see how it goes and trying not to over think it. I can test on Sunday.
Report
Nessalina · 14/11/2013 12:05
I'm pretty sure that as long as you've been in a job 6 months you qualify for at least Statutory mat pay juniper, so if this was a BFP then you'd be in the new job at least 7 months probably 8! I'd go for the new job if it's one you want Smile Biology is fickle, and as you say, if the BFP turned back into a BFN you'd be gutted to have missed out on the job!
juniper the rules are that you basically need to have been working there when you get pregnant. (Midwives will fiddle your matb1 form a little either way so you qualify).
If you don't qualify for SMP, you'll more than likely qualify for maternity allowance which is at the same rate. MA isn't taxable either, (SMP is). Maternity leave isn't dependant on how long you've worked there so is open to everyone.
