Part 2 this way!

We had 6 BFPs in just over a month on the first thread, so here's hoping the luck continues.

Phew we are a chatty lot, and quite a few newbies, maybe we could have another summary of where everyone is up to for all the newbies ( and us oldies to keep up!)
Ah metal that is annoying for you. Men just do not get it the same way do they. My DH has at least agreed to go for tests etc if we need to next year.
Utopian I definately think you have got the right attitude there. What with birthdays and christmas and loft conversions coming up I suppose you don't really have any choice! Hopefully this will be the month it happens for you.
Hungry I love wrapping!! Send 'em this way and I will gladly do them all for you! My DD is refusing to go for a nap this afternoon, I can hear her singing away upstairs, at least she's not crying I suppose!
I am still cramping. I am so scared that my period is going to come early. Like actually watching a horror movie scared. It's ridiculous! Hmm Think I might POAS again in the morning, have resisted the urge so far today. I just want to get this week over and done with so I know where I'm up to and can just look forward to christmas.
So in summary - I'm on cycle 5, DD is 2, AF due maybe thurs/fri this week.

mrsm22 · 26/11/2013 16:14

Hi Better - Try not to worry. You sound just like me. I reckon I was 5 or 6 weeks when I found out and my only symptoms were feeling very tired and hungry and I also had backache. Now at 11 weeks I just feel the same. I'm also a massive worrier, so much so that we went privately for an early scan at ten weeks and I'm still worried about the 12 week scan next week. I think being pregnant you just can't help it but worry because you so desperately want everything to be ok. Especially when it's early days. I'll feel happier the further I get on. I'm sure everything will be fine for you x
Lucy - I love wrapping at Xmas too. And getting a tree etc and just all of it. x

HungryHorace · 26/11/2013 17:47

Lucy, after last month's spotting I'm also scared witless about low progesterone / a buggered luteal phase. I'm also still cramping too and weeing loads.

I normally like wrapping, but I can see it being more challenging with DD to contend with this year. At least I'm good at it. :-)

Utopian, good to try to stay relaxed. When did your IC suggest you OV'd?

Better / mrs, I'm a REAL worrier, and like Better I've had a number of friends suffer late losses which doesn't help matters. I think it's natural to worry. All part of being a parent, I feel.

Hi to Noitsa. How long is your cycle? Your best bet is DTD EOD from day 8 or so, with every day in your fertile period. My tip is to look for EWCM. Mine seems to appear the week before my OPK smiley. It's difficult to DTD a lot with a small child I find though.

Hi to anyone I've missed. :-)

HungryHorace · 26/11/2013 17:49

That's day before my OPK smiley.

And I'm on cycle 3, AF due Weds / Thurs next week, DD is 5 months old.

Hello again everyone, and nice to meet the newbies.

I'm 9+2 today, and my main symptom is still just exhaustion. Not helped by DS deciding to start getting up at 5am, and also usually having at least one night feed. So I'm often in bed by 9 - no time for myself or mn really. Hoping the tiredness passes soon, it did with DS, but I can't remember how far along I was then.

Sorry to hear there's so many wtf cycles going on. It's just not on for you all! Really hope some bfps turn up soon, and AF for you engles.

As for getting referrals from the drs, you really just need to push your case as much as you can. It's hard when they tell you it's "normal" to take a year to get pregnant, but you see people all around you getting pregnant so quickly. If you have any issues in your past though, definitely try and get a referral ASAP - the referral itself can take months to come through.

ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 26/11/2013 19:13

For the benefit of the newbies...

I'm on cycle 3 of trying. One ds aged 2.4. Lots of gynae crap that's going to make it tricky. Trying opks for the first time this month.

mrsm22 · 26/11/2013 19:30

Hi ladies, how is everyone this evening? I'm just putting my DS to bed. We have got quite a few new people, so for those newbies my story is... I have a DS who will be 2 at the end of December and I am now 11 weeks plus one day pregnant with number two! I started this wonderful thread and it has so far been very lucky with a number of BFP's. I came off the pill and took 7 months to get pregnant with my DS but this time came off the pill and must have happened within about two weeks. I was and still am very suprised it happened so quickly.

noitsachicken · 26/11/2013 19:43

Hi, thanks for the welcome!

My cycle is aaveraging 34 days, but seems to vary.
I am just getting to grips with all the acronyms required!

I concieved DS fairly quick, but know that may not happen this time! I am looking forward to being pregnant again but dreading the exhaustion!

Toothpastekissesno2 · 26/11/2013 19:48

Hey all - hi newbies
I am feeling bit anxious this afternoon as had a teeny bit of pink when wiping. Also have a few cramps (though can't work out whether that's my head!) scan on sunday but now really scared. I wonder whether haven't taken it easy enough this time as u just have to get on with life when u have a little one. Anyway i know a few of u experienced something similar.
Sorry for the monologue - hope everyone else ok xxx

Monstersaurus · 26/11/2013 19:55

Evening all. DS is happily asleep upstairs. He's 18months now, and this is our second cycle TTC#2. Last time it happened pretty quickly so it is tricky not to get carried away and expect the same thing to happen again. AF/BFP is due around about the 17 of Dec.

mrsm22 · 26/11/2013 20:32

Hi Noitsa - you're not wrong about the exhaustion. I am so tired every day. People say it gets better once you're passed the first 12 weeks. I'm 12 weeks next Monday but I don't feel any change yet.
Hi Toothpaste - Try not to worry. I think bleeding is quite common actually and often unexplainable and what you've described isn't even what I'd call a bleed. How far are you again and is that correct that you've got a scan on Sunday!

Metalhead · 26/11/2013 20:34

My stats are: cycle 4 ttc#2, have a DD aged 3.5. Last time got pregnant 2nd cycle, clearly no such luck this time round!

Just watching Masterchef and then I will drag DH upstairs to bed! Wink

Try not to worry Toothpaste, I'm sure if it's just a little bit of pink everything will be fine! (easier said than done, I know...)

mrsm22 · 26/11/2013 20:40

Hi Metal - I like Masterchef too! Good luck, you WILL get there!

Toothpastekissesno2 · 26/11/2013 20:54

Thanks mrs and metal.im also watchin masterchef! Yes it's nice to hear reassuring words. Keeping a watchful eye every time I go to loo. When does the worrying stop?! Prob never. Afterall I worry about ds all the time.
I have paid for scan on Sunday when I will be 9 weeks and 2 (approx!)
My 12 weeks is 20th dec so I just wanted to know either way before then.
Metal - I read your thing about your dh. Mine is exactly the same! It was always me having to jump him! It started to put me off as I just sometimes felt like I was molesting him!! Men!

Kt1991 · 26/11/2013 21:20

Welcome to the newbies Smile were on cycle 4 TTC no.2, we have a DS who is 2.9. AF due next week either 3rd/4th dec. Do feel different this cycle and I've been annoyingly symptom spotting!

mrsm22 · 26/11/2013 21:31

Toothpaste - Good luck for your scan on Sunday. I had an early one too for the same reasons at ten weeks exactly and it was well worth it. Let us know how you get on. And no the worrying never stops! You worry trying to conceive and then even more once you are. Right I'm making some hot milk and off to bed. Good night all x

HungryHorace · 26/11/2013 21:36

Kt, I feel different too and am also SS. Gah, I should know better. :-/

When are we POAS anyway?!

Night mrs, sleep well. :-) xx

Toothpaste, I had pink CM at 20 weeks' pregnant. It was due to my cervical ectropian (sore patch). Are you still DTD? Bleeding is very common in early pregnancy, and pink shouldn't be anything to worry about. xx

CallingAllEngels · 26/11/2013 22:04

Stats: ttc since july. Got bfp on cycle3 but mc at 6w. Now 6w+ on still waiting for hcg to go down and get a bfn so we can try again. DS is 2.

HungryHorace · 26/11/2013 22:09

Hurrah for crap skin, Engels! Fx AF is on the way!

Kt1991 · 26/11/2013 22:40

Good luck for your scan on Sunday toothpaste make sure you keep us updated!

HungryHorace · 26/11/2013 22:56

Bloody hell...I doubt it, though I should! Someone should remove my S to PO to stop me. :-)

OP posts:
Noyoucantwatchpeppapig · 26/11/2013 23:28

Thanks for all the nice welcomes. My AF is still missing, have decided to POAS on fri afternoon if doesn't turn up before DH goes out on nightshift.
My DD was a morning after pill failure so by the time I realised I should be POAS It was positive first time.

SwedeAway · 27/11/2013 05:40

Morning all. Think I am possibly driving myself insane. This is my third cycle and since we started ttc I am trying to chart and is obsessively symptom spotting. I am usually regular as clockwork, 28 day cycle, ovulation on day 12. This never varies and I always know when I am ovulating as I can distinctly feel it.
Now that I have started to ttc I am totally mixed up. AF started on the 15th Nov but only lasted for a day and was hardly anything at all. My chart tells me that this week is my fertile week (until Tue next week) so have dtd everyday since Friday and will aim to do this every day until Tuesday. But, have taken ovulation tests for the past three days and there is no sign of it at all?? I dont understand why as it should at least indicate yesterday or today that ovulation is on its way but so far, not even the faintest line. Monday I felt nauseous all day and yesterday I was nauseous on and off.
So with AF so recent I know there is really no possibility of being pg but why am I not ovulating. As I said, I think I am going insane:(

donnas1984 · 27/11/2013 06:10

Awh guys reading this has actually made me remember who insane I wad ttc dd#1. wWe conceived her naturally the month (23rd cycle) we got referred to the infertility clinic and it was a quickie after work before we went to tesco for the big shop! opks never worked for me I'd stopped trying had actually given up and was researching the ivf process.
My story has a good outcome and im 100% sure all of you will. Just sharing this to try to stop you all getting disheartened. I nearly destroyed my marriage ttc as it consumed every though of every day please ppl hang in there. You will all get your bfps!

noitsachicken · 27/11/2013 07:10

Morning!
AF has just arrived, earlier than I though but means we can start trying sooner!

I was wondering about OPKs as well.
Has anyone had much success with them? When should they be used?
