Part 2 this way!

We had 6 BFPs in just over a month on the first thread, so here's hoping the luck continues.

welcome kitty! hope your bug grows arms and legsWink .
mrs bi called the early pregnancy unit when I had they bleed on Tuesday they were lovely and very reassuring but I still felt crampy and sore on Wednesday so called back and they booked me in after I (possibly exaggerated) the level of pain I was inBlush .
mrs I thought you were on the fb page I was gonna upload a pic to compare but I must be wrong we should all have our mn names in brackets haha xx im huge boobs have gone up a back and a cup size and theres a very distinctive bump I look around 5 months! xx

donnas1984 · 22/11/2013 17:07

also hope you ds feels better soon x

mrsm22 · 22/11/2013 17:36

Hi Donna - my boobs are huge too but I'm still squeezing them into bra's that are too small. With DS I changed to m&s maternity bra's but much later on. I still have 3 of then so maybe I should try and see if they fit. I look further than 10 and a half weeks. I must admit since you've had your bleed, I'm terrified of having one too and I'm always checking when I go to the loo.

mrsm22 · 22/11/2013 17:37

Hi Kitty and welcome x

donnas1984 · 22/11/2013 17:53

I'm sure you will be fine I was very paranoid and I couldn't have waited almost 2 weeks for my dating scan. I did feel a little bad about fibbing but when I got there the place was full of ppl who woke up feeling funny. At least i had an actual reason to be there! I still feel moist Blush so wearing a liner to keep an eye on things. One of my friends had her 20 week scan today she thinks its a boy but they couldn't be sure would be nice as she has a dd already xx

BetterNotBitter · 22/11/2013 18:01

Thanks everyone for the congratulations :)

lucy It was our 3rd cycle. I agree with the others try to wait to poas, it probably won't show this early if you are pregnant.

kt no AF, I'm Usually regular to the hour and I'm a day over, husband brought a first response test home from work, just taken it & got a very strong positive so looks like we've been lucky.

hungry the 2ww is bloody awful, I hated it each time. Hope yours flies over when should you be due, do you have an idea or not with the wtf cycle confusing things?

donnas hurrah!! Such great news from your scan & 11+4 is really far along. I know how your feel, I has an unexplained bleed when I was 22weeks last time and it's so horrible. Pleased your mind is at ease now implant out buddy!

HungryHorace · 22/11/2013 19:19

To be honest, Better, I don't know how long my cycle is.

I hadn't had a natural period since I was 18 until I came off the pill in May last year and couldn't remember by then what my periods were like 17.5 years previously.

I fell pregnant in my 5th cycle and none of them were the same length, and now I've still not got consistency.

Based on the positive OPK on Weds, I'd say I'm due on about 4-5th December. Maybe!

I'm concerned that my womb lining will be shit after no proper AF last time though. There's always something!

A strong positive is good. Bet you're so happy. Will you tell anyone or keep it a secret?

OP posts:
BetterNotBitter · 22/11/2013 20:42

You're right hungry, there is always something. You can't help but go over & over it in your head though can you? It would probably be so much more conducive to conception if you could just not think about it but it's impossible. Hopefully this month will be your month & you won't need to keep trying to work it all out.

Very happy, but very shocked still. Told my mum & my very best friend (who both knew we were trying and when I was due so they've both been hassling me to test haha) but that's it and we'll be telling no one else for a long time. We have a no contact situation with my husbands parents and we really don't want them to find out about number 2 during my pregnancy so it will be quite low key all the way through.

mrsm22 · 22/11/2013 20:45

Wow it seems lots of people do have or have had bleeds during pregnancy and it's not been anything wrong or bad.
Donna -I'm wearing a liner every day just so I can keep an eye on things too. Roll on our 12 week scans! It can't come soon enough x

Lucyjojo · 22/11/2013 20:57

Evening ladies,
Kt I am into my 5th cycle this month Sad got everything crossed it will be my month this month. Although the first 3 cycles we were using KY Jelly (sorry TMI) which obviously doesn't help matters - so maybe really this is only my 2nd cycle? Makes me feel better to think of it like that! You are all right, it is a bit pointless to do a test now, will wait another week and see what happens. Maybe you have ovulated this month Kt just without the pains? You wouldn't always get the pains would you? Have you though about using OPKs? I always said I didn't want to, but thought I would just try them out this month, and it was nice to see a +ve on a pee stick for once!!
Nice to hear your back Engels, and huge well done with the race! have you signed up to any more? Grin Totally sucks you still can't get on with ttc, but hopefully you can catch the fertile period when you do get back on track.
Hi Kitty, what day are you due on? Do you think you will give in and POAS before AF possibly arrives?
Donna so glad everything is ok for you, and think it's good that you did a little fibbing!!!
Hi Mrs, bet it is so annoying at work with people staring. I have heard that you show alot more with babies no.2, 3 etc. I think I started wearing mat bras quite soon, I literally couldn't bare to wear underwired bras. The best ones I found were emma jane maternity bras, not cheap but sooo comfy! Hope your DS picks up over the weekend.

BetterNotBitter · 22/11/2013 21:25

Lucy, are you using conceive plus?

HungryHorace · 22/11/2013 21:46

Lucy, I always get OV pain. This cycle it was hideous. :-/

I've had period-type cramps today too. Maybe it's the tail end of OV?

I think you call it cycle 2, Lucy, definitely. :-)

Conceive Plus hasn't done anything for us this time. We fell first time with it last time. Boo!

OP posts:
Lucyjojo · 22/11/2013 22:06

Better I am using pre-seed this month, but not the applicators! I used conceive plus last month but no luck. Did you use conceive plus?
Ah Hungry we've still got a slight chance before xmas Confused. have you taken any more pg tests or are you putting your weird bleed down as a definite AF?

mrsm22 · 22/11/2013 22:09

I started taking Pregnacare original when I came off the pill but as far as I'm aware that doesn't boost your chances of getting pregnant (correct me if I'm wrong) but I thought all those things were just to make sure that you are getting the correct amount of folic acid and all the vitamins for when you do fall pregnant?
Hi Lucy - I might take a look at Emma Jane bra's. In the next couple of weeks I'm going to be out of these wired things I'm wearing, getting very in comfy!
Can I just ask everyone's opinion on when to announce at work and tell everyone that you are pregnant. I have my 12 week scan on tues 3rd Dec and I'm at work the next day. If all is well do u tell then or should you really wait longer?

HungryHorace · 22/11/2013 22:28

Mrs, it's up to you.

I told my direct team at about 8 weeks as I couldn't hide the morning sickness from them. I didn't tell many others, they just worked it out the fatter I got! :-)

Lucy, I don't know what happened. It appears that it was AF. But the weirdest AF I've ever bloody had. I'm still blaming Pregnacare. I did an HPT on Mon or Tues, then got the positive OPK and pain on Weds, so it must have been AF.

I'm hoping that dropping the Pregnacare will mean no weirdness this time. The only good thing is that the last month has shot past with all the weirdness!

This is my last shot before Christmas. I won't be able to test until early Jan after this cycle. :-(

OP posts:
donnas1984 · 23/11/2013 05:36

DH upload pic onto his Facebook last night so now everyone knows. Not bad for him as last time I was 9 and a half weeks when he put a status up. I know hes just excited but I'd have preferred to wait till my next scan when ill be 13 weeks xx
mrs I came out my wire bras afew weeks ago I don't have big boobs, I'm now a c cup but feel like Jordan (or whoever the new version of her is)

HungryHorace · 23/11/2013 05:53

I saw that Donna! I'd have gone spare at DH if he'd done that. Thankfully he's not on Facebook so I don't have to worry about it. :-)

I think I was about 14 weeks when I put it up with DD as we had to travel down to tell my parents first, and I wanted to do it near Christmas too.

It is exciting though, bless him!

OP posts:
Lucyjojo · 23/11/2013 06:10

Yeh I definately reckon it was Pregnacare Hungry, I've heard strange things from it! here's hoping to a more normal, or totally absent, AF this time round! I'm still having cramps, but then I've had them before mid cycle, so trying to just ignore them.
Mrs I can't quite remember how far along I was, I know I tried to leave it as long as possible as I couldn't be doing with all the questions all the time! But yeh the ladies at work had an inkling, the office had been repainted when Iwas early pregnant, and I just couldn't handle the smell, I had to take time off! SO I think they guessed from that. I would tell them when you are ready, if you would feel happier if everyone just knew rather than guessing, and you don't have to feel bad about taking time off, although as you said your boss was fine with it. I think everything will be fine at your next scan Grin, not long since your last one, so maybe if you are happy to have them all know tell them the day after? You might start getting more cups of tea made for you, or biscuits brought in!!
Donna thats sweet, but annoying about your DH! At least you're not so far away from your 12 weeks scan.
Right, I'm off to work. Hmph.

Kittyrose1 · 23/11/2013 07:14

I won't be poas ladies as AF has arrived this morning! So my bug was definitely just a bug boo.

I didnt realise that pregnacare could do that! I've just been taking a folic acid supplement since I can off the pill 6 months ago.
Mrsm skit of my friends have had babies recently including girls at work who have all announced their good news after the first scan, but I guess it's individual for everyone :)

CallingAllEngels · 23/11/2013 08:06

Sorry to hear that kitty.

Mrsm I told work when I'd had my scan (think it was at about 11 weeks) and we had told our parents and siblings. Had to wait with work a few days as wanted to drive to England and tell my family in person and then took me a few days to get hold of my youngest dsis who was working in the Australian Outback. As soon as you tell work you're 'protected' legally iykwim.

So, just to introduce myself properly to anyone new or returning, we have been ttc#2 since July. DS is 2. Got pg after cycle 3 with a bfp in October but has mc at 6w. Now waititng for everything to get back to normal so we can try again. Was amazed that I got pg so quickly...With ds it took 18m, then a mc, then the next cycle was pg with ds.

Lucy I was so proud of myself that I did it after everything that's happened this last month. There are 2 big running events in the city I live in - the 15khill run I've just done...about 25, 000 runners...and a smaller ladies run (but the biggest women only run in NL) in May. Will sign up again for the 10k when registration opens in the NY and hope that I will be cancelling when I get pg. And if I'm not, then I haven't put my life on hold for ttc!

Can't remember who was talkign about finding out someone was pg and feeling shit about 7t (might have been you lucy?) ...I have just found out that the worst possible perwon at work to be pg whioe you're trying is pg. Last time she was 6mpg when we were just starting ttc. All she talks about is being pg and having a baby and then bf and and and! She hasn't announced it openly yet (last time she announced it in a team meeting! ) but a mutual friend who knows that we're trying and about my mc gave me the heads up. God, everytime I see her I find it so hard to like her.plus I KNOW that she's been trying less than 6m and with her dc1 they scored the first month in (she isn't a close friend but she always gives tmi...she told me over kunch in the staffroom when she had hee coil taken out!).

Anyway, ds is off to meet Sinterklaas today (like dutch santa). Annoying colleague will be there so wish me luck!

HungryHorace · 23/11/2013 08:33

Oh shit, kitty, what a bugger. Sorry. :-(

Engels, is today the big parades etc in NL? A work colleague's son lives over there and she often goes across then instead of Christmas as it's such a big thing.

Lucy, isn't it weird about Pregnacare? It's all anecdotal, but happens to so many people. Odd. When are you going to POAS?!

And that woman sounds very annoying, Engels. Ignore, smile, ignore.

OP posts:
Kittyrose1 · 23/11/2013 08:41

It's ok thanks girls. tbh this month wasn't the most ideal ttc cycle as I had horrendous thrush (sorry tmi!!) for a week so there was no action in the bedroom all that time which coincided with part of my fertile week (got an app but no idea how accurate it is) so the chances were really slim anyway!
Engels that woman sounds annoying, I think there must be one in every department lol as we had one too, she's now off on maternity so I don't have to hear it anymore thankfully!

mrsm22 · 23/11/2013 11:22

Hi everyone,
Kitty - Sorry you got your AF, but like you say, doesn't sound like the best month to have been TTC. Better luck for next month. Have you come off the pill or any contraception?
Engels - kitty is right, there's always one at work to rub your face in things etc. In fact, lots where I work. Best to ignore! I'm not going to tell people immediately after my scan, I think I'll wait til just before Xmas and I've got the results from the Down syndrome screening test and my blood test results that I'm having at my 12 week scan. I know I've had a good scan last Monday but I just want to be sure and it'll be nice to announce just before Xmas not just to people at work but to my friends and other family who still don't know. Today I am 10 weeks plus 5 days.
Donna. - thankfully DH isn't on Facebook so he wouldn't put it on there , he's not a fan of FB at all. It's a shame we can't all upload pics on here and make our Mumsnet thing a bit more private. So what's everyone doing today?
Donna I'm still in my wired bra's while I can still fit in them. I do have big boobs anyway. I am or was a 32 DD but they've grown so God knows what I am now. I'm still wearing normal tops but maternity bottoms now as I've got quite a noticeable bump!

CallingAllEngels · 23/11/2013 12:03

Parades were last weekend when SK 'arrived' in the nl.

I can safely say I have the most 'spirited' ( and that's how one of my colleagues so diplomatically put it!) child of all my colleagues. DS managed to try to wreck the microphone, started opening prop presents during the puppet show, stuff his gob with so many biscuits at once that people were gasping in surprise...maybe he's just making sure that a) I won't be able to hold my head up high in the staffroom next week and b) that everyone will remember him next year Grin

I really need a lie down.

Sceret pg annoying colleague was okay but was surrounded by babies and 2 colleagues who're about 8m pg...my school is like a baby making factory!

Lucyjojo · 23/11/2013 14:47

I will write a proper message later when im not on my phone, i am just after your advice. I have been getting strong cramps for the past two days like period pains and i am really worried i am going to start my period, which would be 5 or 6 days early, i was 1 day early last month and im a bit scared my cycles are getting messed up! I ov'd over a week ago so it cant be that. What do you think it could be?
