Here we go again.....

The smallprint –
Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 6+months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot) and def no mention of baby dust or baby dancing UGH !!! Ooooh aren’t we strict!

Barking wow! Look, Scotland will still be there when you are holding your beautiful scrunchy baby. Really hope they are helpful for you.

Bunny and mrs, also good news.

Forget who asked, but cunting British Gas sent us a new payment plan and doleful explanation of how they were raising our prices. Except..... We're not BG customers and never have been. I had to spend 32 minutes on hold before I sorted it out! Grrrrrrr. Totally never switching to,them.

Rough week at work but all good now. Having a few Wine tonight....

Pipbin · 25/10/2013 20:22

We got a letter from British Gas saying they were upping their prices too. We don't use them either!

I remember some people last year saying they were giving up ttcing so their baby wouldn't be born in 2013! Ffs

Bunnygirlie · 25/10/2013 21:12

Ah good point lady he has been cutting back over the past few months and eating better! Also been on all sorts of pills and vitamins so FX that has worked!

RP I'm on the Wine too Grin

Thanks for the replies everyone - yes it is totally common sense, the letter threw me as it only has my details and says it's with Gynae.

My stats:
PowderPuffs, 32, Cycle 12, AF on her 'orrible way any day now, 1st FC appointment in Nov

And my special pot used to contain silver balls (cake decs) carefully chosen for its lid!

Real bugger about your hols Barking, hope you manage to work out a nice alternative

BlueBirdy · 25/10/2013 21:16

Just want to say thank you to every one for all the good advice and kind words the other day, think I was mainly shocked as we both would have expected to have been told about such a result way before now Angry Anyway he has been a lot healthier this last year but is now going to cut down on the caffine, we've been on multi-vits for a while but got some grape seed extract suplements for good measure.. Anyway will see what the fc suggests for us, guess ICSI looks likely.

Barking is Scotland too far to go for just one or two nights? then a 2nd mini hol in the campervan after the FC appt?

Hi Powder! We have our 1st FC appt next month too! (My Dr said we should both attend)

Grrr, Pip, what a way for AF to add insult to injury! Fx for this next cycle!

MrsW, your Dr sounds gooood... hope you had a good night out!

Well at least the long waits seem to be almost over for most, but doesn't it just feel like your whole life has been put on hold? I also remember being picky about the months that we would TTC - ha, those days are LONG gone.

happylass · 25/10/2013 22:43

Adding Powder and updating my info to reflect my delayed appointment Halloween Angry

barkingtreefrog · 25/10/2013 23:12

birdy it would be a 7 hour drive plus stops, we'd pretty much be spending two days travelling for one day up there. Just cost of diesel isn't worth it either.

kitty Spa?! Sorry, not my idea of fun at all! And I'm far too stingy/skint to spend money on a hotel when I can sleep in the campervan! (not to mention needing to with the dog anyway).

Weather does look shit but that's because there's a big storm coming in which is what is bringing in the decent surfing conditions apparently. So we'll be somewhere along the coast in bad weather. As long as I can go for a run or a bike ride I don't really care Grin .

BlindKitty · 26/10/2013 07:11

barking hmm yes we definitely have very different ideas of what constitutes a break!

barkingtreefrog · 26/10/2013 07:37

kitty it's not that I don't appreciate a nice hotel room, but I don't have lots of money and I wouldn't enjoy being in a hotel if I knew that meant I'd blown my budget for that month for the sake of one night! Also, everything I enjoy generally involves being outdoors and getting muddy, so I tend to be a bit self conscious walking into a nice hotel when everyone else is dressed up and I'm carrying my shoes and trying not to drip mud on the carpet....

CatsCantFlyFast · 26/10/2013 09:48

Barking I can't remember where you are but would tynemouth / Sunderland meet the surfing criteria? If so I can recommend some gorgeous areas in County Durham/Northumberland for a camper and a dog!

CatsCantFlyFast · 26/10/2013 09:50

Or Cromer in Norfolk... Again some gorgeous places around for camping and walking and country pubs x

ladybunnikins · 26/10/2013 11:37

Pregnant unless proven otherwise

barkingtreefrog · 26/10/2013 15:25

I love Northumberland but we're driving up Thursday and back Friday so sticking a bit closer - cayton bay (Scarborough) for a Thursday late morning surf, then lunch, late afternoon run, campsite for the night then Dalby Forest for some mountain biking on Friday morning. Not quite 4 days in Scotland catching up with friends but I think I've convinced DP to spend New Year in the Cairngorms instead rather than surfing in Morocco..... We shall see who wins that one!

barkingtreefrog · 26/10/2013 15:28
Grin

Just got back from a 42km road ride with almost 800m of ascent. First time on my road bike since June. Might need to lie down for the rest of the afternoon!!!

BlindKitty · 26/10/2013 17:18

bunny pupo is what you're going to be soon, assuming you don't get your fufc before then Smile

PowderPuffs · 26/10/2013 17:28

gosh Barking you're putting me to shame now I've just scoffed half a packet of custard creams Blush

yay for lady

yes Bunny just trying to add some glamour to proceedings!

Blue sounds like we're in a similar situation with our DPs - roll on next month!

Bunnygirlie · 26/10/2013 19:00

Ah yes, of course. We should have a Pupo party!

kitty I bloody hope so!

barking 42km ride?!? Are you barking?!? Wink

Been chatting to my beauty girl today, she had her tubes removed a few weeks back and is doing well. Looks like we may be going through ivf at around the same time, she has had her ivf letter too Smile

How is everyone?

OP posts:
ladybunnikins · 26/10/2013 19:24

I should be PUPO all the time - I'm relaxing on the sofa in my dressing gown, watching Strictly and then X factor, while DH has been to the supermarket and is now attempting to make turkey moussaka.
They told me today that ideally I should take the 2WW off sick, there's no way I can take that much time off, especially if we may be repeating this process several times. Besides, if I was at home I'd spend all my time googling symptoms!

FeatherFeather11 · 26/10/2013 20:23

Aaah.. lady congrats re pupo - how exciting! Mmmm..turkey mousssaka sounds delish!

barking your breaks sounds fabulous. Sorry to hear it's been cut short, but sounds like it will be worth it. Not sure if you'd had provera before, but it's a breeze. 5 days of pills and af turns up.

pip Brit Gas situation sounds a nightmare! I spent an hour and a half on hold to BT last week. Bloody hate utilities companies!

someone/everyone pls could you add me to the list next time? Starting to get paranoid I've been given the boot!

I'm about 9dpo now. Not sure how to feel about it all. Haven't got much faith that this will be my month, but feel oddly ok about that at the moment. OH and I swung by to see this dr in a health food shop near where we live this morning. Have heard good things about him from lour or five different sources - one of them who was trying to get preg for five years and was diffed within two months of seeing him. Anyway, he's a really old man, and he's lovely. He mapped out a diet I should follow - and surprisingly, he told me to eat loads of wheat! Pluses loads of pineapple and papaya every days and loads of other tips. He said "if you're not pregnant withing three months of following this, then you'll be the first in my 60 years that hasn't"

Anyway, if anyone is interested in his free consultantion, let me know and I'll give you his deets. He's london based.

How is everyone else?
