Well I thought I'd get the ball rolling and start up the October bus, there's plenty of Cake and Wine on board and extra comfy seats for relaxing into those BFP's

Hi gnomie that sounds horrible :( Did you used to get sick like that before you started the pill? I have no experience with that at all sorry, but I just wanted to say I hope you feel better soon Flowers

SoMuchFruit · 26/09/2013 10:20

Gnomie that sounds rough. Hope it sorts itself out soon.

Working off the 'average' 30 day cycle I am CD16 today. We've been dtd every 2nd day so far, with a couple of days over the weekend of every day. I am thinking that it's a 30day cycle this time, based on EWCM.

I haven't got loads, but there is still definitely some, on wiping. Can I ask a TMI question of the EWCM experts ?

I haven't got loads of EWCM on wiping/general inspection (!) but much, er, wetter, during DTD than usual - is this a sign of a reasonable amount of EWCM ?

PurpleGeekyGirl · 26/09/2013 10:31

soMuch I find that too, am literally oozing (tmi!!) during my fertile period when dtd and a lot wetter than at other points. hth lol!

SoMuchFruit · 26/09/2013 10:43

Thanks PurpleGG .. I end up asking the most bizarre questions on here and yet someone always has an answer/experience to compare Grin I actually think this is the most frank place on the entire internet!

I was wondering if you had to have lots of EWCM all of the time or whether what was around during DTD was enough of a guide.

PurpleGeekyGirl · 26/09/2013 10:45

soMuch

agree there's stuff I share on here behind the anon persona I'd never talk about in person!

As long as the ewcm is near your cervix it's enough as the sperm are released up there so to speak. I often feel a bit wet on one or tewo days but normally only notice ewcm when wiping after the loo. I'm too squeamish to check my cervix and see what's happening there!

SoMuchFruit · 26/09/2013 10:55

PurpleGG - yes! Some of the stuff I ask on here I'd be extremely reluctant to talk about in person with friends (definitely not my Mum!) and I am not a prudey kind of girl!

Gawd.. near the cervix ? I don't have a lot when I wipe but there appears to be a whole lot during DTD. I assume hope to god that's near enough to my cervix!

I also haven't check my cervix.. does everyone ? Shock This another thing I am clueless about. You'd think having had one LO I'd be a bit less of a novice at this Blush

MrsB2013 · 26/09/2013 11:20

Hey milk and onelife

We're you both on the pill before ttc? I was on it for 12 years and stopped it at end of July.

I think trying to relax will help with ttc, but when you really want something to happen it's hard to relax and try not think about it. And at 32, although it's not really that old, I really want it to happen soon, I want a baby before I get to 35!

MrsB2013 · 26/09/2013 11:22

Hello other newbies Smile

Fingers crossed this will be a lucky bus!

I was on the Aug and Sept bus so recognise some names from there

onelifeonechance · 26/09/2013 11:51

Hi Mrsb, yeah I was on the pill, initially microgynon then because of migraines moved on to cerazette, all in all was on it for 8ish yrs, stopped in Feb this year in preparation for beginning to ttc in July thinking I was being super organised and getting it out of my system but doesn't seem to have paid off! I even started taking folic acid over a year ago as read something somewhere about 1yr+ of it being good - I must be the only woman in the land who was taking folic acid and the pill at the same time! Hmm I've cut down on drinking but not stopped yet there has to be some positive about getting af eat well, go swimming, don't smoke etc etc but the one thing I don't seem to be able to do is so thinking about it and now i'm stressing that i'm making myself stressed and everyone says not to stress or it won't work! How are you not meant to think about it though when you are literally counting each day of the month and thinking where you are in your cycle?
Sorry appear to have shared bit much there but helps to offload sometimes! Are your cycles regular after the pill?

jaykay987 · 26/09/2013 12:05

Oop....Im 32 and trying or first too. Wow - that makes four of us!

Im away this weekend. Opks are negative so far. Im now hoping tomorrow is negative too, so that I don't ovulate before I see DH Monday! Smile

Im feeling positive this month. Really hoping this is a lucky bus!

onelifeonechance · 26/09/2013 12:15

Come and join us on the back seat jaykay Smile Sorry i'll try to cheer up, hope your positivity rubs off on me quickly! Think i'm just blue because i'm in the horrible af bit still licking my wounds from last cycle and feeling like there is forever until i can do something practical (and fun, mustn't forget the fun!) about this cycle. Plus DH has been away all week and i'm missing him slaps self round chops must pull myself together

I'm waiting for my fertility monitor to arrive and i've also ordered a bbt thermometer so going to give charting a go this month there is a small voice in my head telling me how mad i am and i should just chill but im trying to shut her up with science What CD are you JK? Fingers crossed you get your positive when DH is back, get ready to pounce Grin

MrsB2013 · 26/09/2013 12:23

Ohh 4 of us all 32 and ttc #1!

Onelife, yes I had a 30 day and 28 day cycle, so I'm happy they have returned and been regular. They were always regular before I went on the pill, although have been very light since coming off it. I was on Microgynon for 7 years then had to change because I was getting a breakthrough bleed, so I went onto Femodene.

I did speak to my doctor about a year ago, wanted to know when to stop taking it for ttc, she just told me as soon as you stop, its out your system, so can start ttc straight away Hmm I know some people do get lucky and conceive 1st month off it, but from reading on here, seems like lots of people have problems, with af returning and being regular. Sorry went on a bit there lol

onelifeonechance · 26/09/2013 12:27

Just updated the list to add myself on, i've popped Clever and MrsW on too so think it's looking good, not long left now for the first testers - good luck! Smile

Mine are really light too - have had 7 of the buggers now and they aren't getting any heavier, i'm not complaining! My cycles are on the shorter side have mostly been between 23-25 days so think they're regular and that's just how i roll lol.

Ooo looking at the list me, you and Jaykay are all due to test within days of each other too - fingers crossed for a mass BFP party for the 32 gang! Grin and everyone else too of course! Hoping this bus is a lucky one Smile

Milknosugar33 · 26/09/2013 12:37

MrsB, onelife and jaykay - this back seat is four copies of the same person!

I was on Microgynon for 12 years as well! Came off in January ready to try later this year – again thinking I was super organised.

Actually thought I was preggers in February which was a bit of a shock, but I wasn’t I was just over-worrying. Now I would love to be preggers and I’m over-thinking about it and it’s not happening!

In terms of supplements, I take spatone iron water – not for pregnancy, just coz it boosts my immune system but that has some folic acid in it so I have been on that and the pill as well!

Now I am also on pregnacare and DH is on wellmans.

I’ve been OPK-ing for the last two cycles, my BBT thermometer arrived on Monday and my Clear Blue fertility monitor has arrived today! I am hoping I won’t need it and It’ll be the best £60 I have ever wasted!

I haven’t completely stopped drinking but this month I’ve only shared a bottle of champers once. polishes halo

I just cannot stop thinking about how much I would like to get pregnant now. The time is so right for us, but Mother Nature has not been listening so far!

A HUGE part of me is hoping for third time lucky, but I am also trying to remain realistic so I don’t get too upset if it doesn’t happen.

The last two months I have had strong OPK lines on two days and have DTD on those days, but not the day after – hence this month I am keen to DTD the day before, the days of them, and the day after if we can manage it.

If that doesn’t work then I have the monitor ready!

How wonderful would it be if all four of us could manage it this month! I am SO hopeful for us!

The only problem I have is a touch of the lerg which is making me feel a bit bleugh, but I’m ignoring it as much as possible!

Fingers so tightly crossed for us back seaters!

ELR · 26/09/2013 12:38

That evil bitch has just chucked me off the September bus, so jumping on here for the October ride hopefully third time lucky and last bus I catch!

mrswalsh77 · 26/09/2013 12:50

I'm 36 and TTC #1. Came off cerazette last September but only really focused on ovulation etc for last 3 cycles. DH lost his dad 3 weeks ago as we have both been distraught. Needless to day DtD took a back seat for a few weeks..... Making up for it now. I'm of work this week but poor husband is going off to work exhausted! It'll all be worth it in the end!
Anyone else TTC no 1 after 35? I've heard it gets a lot more difficult! Confused

onelifeonechance · 26/09/2013 13:08

OMG Milk you are me (i'm now worried i actually have a split personality and I'm sat talking to myself through the medium of Mumsnet!!) I completely relate to every single thing you have just said (apart from i've not got the lurgy so you can keep that to yourself thank you please, go and sit by the window for a bit and get some fresh air!) (oh, also i can't say my halo is super shiny but i'm so wanting it to work this month i am even willing to forgo wine - the ultimate sacrifice!)

Exact same thing here - used opks for first time last cycle, dtd on the days before and up to ov but not after so that is our game plan for this month. Out of interest do you dtd every other day, every day?? around ov. We don't normally dtd daily but we made extra special effort last time and now i'm wondering whether DH had tired sperm and we'd be better off doing every other day, but then also don't want to miss anything, why is it all so hard, makes me laugh at us now looking back at how fastidious we were using condoms after coming off the pill thinking any sl touch might get me pregnant wrong

You have made me feel a million times better just knowing i'm not the only one feeling like this - thank you Flowers

Ooo i'm super excited now Grin My monitor should arrive tmrw, read the instructions online super organised streak keeps shining through or should that be freak so i'm ready for it, even stumped up the extra postage cost on Amazon to get it quicker, also hoping it's the best waste of money ever! Smile

onelifeonechance · 26/09/2013 13:09

one any chance you could fit another little one on the long list?
ScienceGeekGirl ttc #1 cycle 7 BFP ~beginning of Oct

Can't give exact date as not opk or temping but from CM I have maybe OV?!?
It's my 29th birthday in a week and I'm starting to irrationally freak that my goal of being a mother before turning 30 isn't going to be met. I know it's just a number and I'll be no different a mother at 29 than 30 but one of the reasons I decided to ttc now was I naively thought I would still be a 'young' (young < 30 in my silly mind). Guess there's still about 3 months left to try but just seems so unlikely somehow.
Know its a bit of a downer but anyone else think like this too?

Ha OneLife! Sisters from different Misters!

I have opk'd for the last month and had two strong days - which I wasn't expecting. We DTD on both days, but not either side.
I was sure that would do it - after it worked for three friends. AF arrived. I got sad/annoyed. Then I got proactive!

Bought the thermometer and the fertility monitor. Have been temping for the last two days and expecting positive opk's today and tomorrow, or tomorrow and saturday - I have fairly regular cycles.

We DTD on Monday and yesterday, and will try again tonight, tomorrow and Saturday if we can.

Not sure it will be the sperm that are tired, more likely DH! But he wants it as much as me and is being as good as gold.

You have made me feel better too - thank you flowers

This thread is fantastic for support. I'm so grateful. No one else knows we are trying, and we don't plan to tell anyone if we are lucky either. So hard keeping something that i think about THIS much completely quiet!

onelifeonechance · 26/09/2013 14:14

MrsW - I'm so sorry to hear about your father in law, it must be a very hard time for you all and why it would be even nicer if you get your BFP this month - fx for you, good luck Smile

Science I've popped you on the list. I suppose the age thing is all relative - depends if you're asking someone older or younger! It's not daft to think like that, it's normal for us all to look at our own situation and worry at times, but it's also important not to let the worry take over and to look at all the positives as you really are a great age to have a baby so hopefully it will work for you v soon. Goal setting has it's place and it's good for us to have something to aim for but the more i'm going through this process the more i'm realising that you have to be willing to move the goal posts occasioanally

onelifeonechance · 26/09/2013 14:26

Ah your hubby sounds like mine Milk I want it for him so much as he is being so supportive and a real trooper. I know how lucky i am to have him want it so much too as it must be so hard if they're not as keen. Hope he's got lots of energy for tonight then, have fun Wink

I know i'd be lost without this thread - i haven't shared the fact we're trying to conceive (and how much it is consuming me) with anybody - one friend does know because she directly asked but i made out we were fine with it all as we were in a restaurant and i knew the flood gates would open if i really told her how i was feeling. Feel guilty about that though as feel as though i'm lying to friends but it's such a personal thing, i've been so close to telling some of them but then a few days later always feel so glad i didn't, so hard but so glad can unleash my thoughts on here
