Come one, come all and join our rollicking new thread with slightly updated brand new rules

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Glad all is going well for you, Kat Smile

Cosmic - fingers crossed for you that it is a case of late ovulation, really hope it works out for you Thanks x

SeasideLily · 07/10/2013 13:07

Sorry, was posting from my phone before - really hope your dad's ok fed up, sorry you had such a rotten weekend. Has he had any luck with tests yet?

How exciting about your honeymoon sal! And with timing like that, it's meant to be. FX for a honeymoon baby for you.

From now on, I'm really going to try and get less stressed about things, and just concentrate on us and our family. And repeating in every spare moment 'We are fertile, I will get pg in my womb this month'...

SeasideLily · 07/10/2013 13:08

And really hope you get good news in 10 days cosmic, what a worry. Hoping for late ovulation for you.

alyant79 · 07/10/2013 13:13

kata that's great news - seems to have flown by from here!

cosmic very very scary. it's going to be a worrying 10 days but fingers crossed for the best possible result.

Hi cosmic, I wasbjust thinking yesterday about you and how things are going. Hope that it was late ovulation and things will be looking better at the next scan.

NerdyBird · 07/10/2013 13:42

Schrodinger's pregnancy is a really good way to describe how many of us feel, with so many symptoms of AF and pregnancy being similar I could quite believe that I am both pregnant and not at the same time today!

I've just been and bought a new thermometer so I can try temping again next month. Am kind of hoping that in buying it that will mean I end up not needing it!

CamomileHoneyVanilla · 07/10/2013 16:44

Cosmic - really sorry it's being so stressful. Have everything crossed its that you ovulated late. Flowers

Fedup - hope today is going ok and you're getting more answers now the weekend is over. I entirely agree with you; hospital staffing being reduced at weekends is ludicrous.

Congrats Kat. Always lovely to hear things are going well.

I'm feeling fecked off. Realised I'll be ovulating when I'm away on a course for a week. Grrr. Due to actually O on the Fri though (which is the day I'm back) so there is a chance, just would prefer more chance!. Got my blood taken for recurrent miscarriage testing today. They took seven (no exaggeration) vials of the stuff.

SeasideLily · 07/10/2013 22:28

Kata, do you still have some of those ov sticks going? Just realised I'm running low, that would be really handy. So pleased to hear things are going well and you're out of the most dangerous zone, here's to a pregnancy that's bumpy in all the right ways Thanks.

That is majorly annoying cam, but you should still be in with a chance if you dtd on Friday, the egg lives for a couple of days I thought?

ArkadyRose · 07/10/2013 22:35

I'll be 14dpo tomorrow, but I'm feeling a little headachy & crampy. I have a nasty feeling it's another 25-day cycle like last month and AF will show up tomorrow. My cycles are definitely getting shorter. Sad

Hi kata great to see you and hear all is well. Particularly after the rocky start. I always remember your Airport POAS (that was you wasn't it?!)

cosmic I have everything crossed for you, I really do. Hope you are ok.

Thank you everyone for kind thoughts re my dad. Nothing concrete back just, 'it's likely his back'. NHS is so crap sometimes. And that shoddy diagnosis was only when I harassed them to get a consultant over. He's in good spirits though despite the constant pins and needles and aching and wobbliness.

Af due today / tomorrow and been awake since 3 am from husbands snoring and bad cramps that even paracetamol wouldn't shift. Lucky me. Full day of interviews at work today so pass me the coffee!

YorkshireTeaDrinker · 08/10/2013 08:33

AF arrived here, so I am out of the game, fx for a luckier October for everyone else.

Cosmic I really hope your little bean hangs on in there. A heart beat at six weeks has got to be a good sign, right?

Hope you manage to stay awake today fedup, interviewing can be exhausting at the best of times! just try not to yawn in the interviewees face!

Cam that's a bugger about being away during peak shagging week. But the egg hangs around for up to 36 hours post ovulation and sperm can linger for up to 5 days. So DTD just before you go and on Friday should cover it. Shock at the 7 vials of blood, that's practically an armful!

oooh that's annoying cam but as others have said, you'll be able to dtd on ov day so still in with a chance.
bugger bugger bugger yorkshire, and BOOOO to all those cramps fedup

temp was up this morning, so looks like i did ov yesterday (phew!), a day later than usual. we didn't dtd in the end, so i hope the swimmers from the previous day were still gamely swimming in the right direction.

I was feeling very positive about october but now i'm not - perhaps a coping mechanism to start preparing for disappointment?

May I tentatively join you? I've had two confirmed early MCs, one in August and one this weekend. Think I also had an even earlier one in July too. I have my first appointment with the GP to discuss why this is happening next week. We've been told to wait a month before TTC again but I suspect we might not wait- would that reduce my chances of a healthy pregnancy?

NerdyBird · 08/10/2013 13:37

Sorry your AF arrived properly yorkshire

I'm feeling less than brilliant again today, still got the background nausea and feeling tired, but feeling little headachy too. Keep telling myself it's either a bug or a new PMS thing, as I don't want to get my hopes up. We shall see if tomorrow brings AF or not.

Hi onefunkymama, please do join us. Sorry for your losses. I was told to wait until I'd had a period before trying again, as it would be easier to date a pregnancy that way, and allow my cycle to settle down. It would be a good idea to ask the GP about it when you go.

alyant79 · 08/10/2013 14:08

hi funky sorry that you're here. That is very quick succession to have 2 (or possibly even three) miscarriages so I bet you're feeling really like you've been put through the emotional wringer.

I don't think that there is any medical reason why you should wait - some medical professionals have differing opinions. There is a scottish study that shows that getting pregnant again shortly after a mc has no effect on subsequent pregnancy outcome.
The only thing that i can think of is it might affect what testing they could do - your GP will be able to help with that.

Fingers crossed nerdy!

Hello ladies,

We're back to TTC after a MMC that we found out about at our 12 week scan in August. I'm excited and terrified and very impatient!

onefunkymama · 08/10/2013 16:21

Yes, it was quick. I have got preg straight away each time, which is good, but have lost one at 5 weeks and one (maybe twins, they weren't sure on the ultrasound) at 7 weeks. The third one, I'm not sure about so I'm counting it as two MC. Its a bit strange, we have two healthy children already. Hopefully the doctor will be able to shed some light on it. I'm an older mum now (nearly 39) so that might be why? Emotionally I'm fine, maybe I'm a hard nut, but in reality, nature says when something is not right and obviously each time something was wrong. Thinking positive now and looking forwards.

SuzyBean · 08/10/2013 19:05

Hello all, I've been following your posts and decided it was finally time to join in!

I had a mmc in February at 11 weeks and have been ttc since then with no luck. We are very lucky as we have a beautiful 4 yr old boy but would love him to have a sibling.

I'm convinced that there is something wrong as we previously became pregnant straight away and now nothing. Since the mc I am also getting mid cycle cramping, headaches and strange throbby boobs which I never had before! I've had the 21 say blood test today so I'll soon find out, I'm nearly 38 so I'm worried that time is running out!

Bezza2508 · 08/10/2013 19:34

Welcome newbies. Hope your stay here will be short- for all the right reasons!

cosmic, it's great to hear from you. I'm so sorry that you still have all this worry to how through. I have everything (except for my legs!) crossed for you.

Have a lovely honeymoon sal.

Any sign of AF for arkady nerdy and fedup*? I hope not!

Sorry to hear AF arrived yorkshire.

All ok here. Only in CD9 so not much going on in the bezza household!

ArkadyRose · 08/10/2013 22:23

No AF yet, but I've been fighting off a migraine all day and then had lower back pain this evening - and an uncomfortable crampy feeling started up about half an hour ago, so it rather looks like this was another 25-day cycle. Really rather unhappy about this. Sad

NerdyBird · 08/10/2013 22:39

Nothing yet, but I fear it is just a matter of time.

fedupofrainydays · 08/10/2013 22:55

None yet. But think she's lurking and I've been on knicker watch all day.

fedupofrainydays · 08/10/2013 23:05

Spoke to soon. Spotting started :(
