Thanks internationallove985, yeh very tru hard ATM as if preg was successful would now be 15 Wks and have had my first scan .... Hence the urge to feel pregnant as I didn't know and when I did told chances are had miscarried, first ever preg at 26 so now just want to feel the good exciting parts of pregnancy instead of fear loss and sadness.

Fingers crossed 3rd dc on its way baby dust in huge amounts sent to u... Have just purchased 25 ovul sticks and 5 preg tests 10miu very hopefully I know lol but can poas like crazy as bargain all for only 6 quid paid 20 for 10 ovul prob another ten on preg tests - that were just obsessive and looking back Ludacris ! Still blaming hormones lol

In first preg I had a period has any one experienced this?

I feel you, i am genuinely happy for them but its very hard. One minuite your having a beautiful baby and the next its ripped away!

im in the same boat, first ever pregnancy, found out 2 weeks before m/c happened to have a bit of brown spotting told my midwife and she got me an appt at the epu and they told me that the baby had no heartbeat and my levels were dropping. Then 5 days later it happened! xxxxx

Yeah same here I love my god children to bits just the luck of the draw some women have it easy in that sense saying that another friend has been trying for 3 yrs and now cons IVF so to her I should be lucky? Such a personal thing no one can understand until they go through it and oh no Hun so sorry must have Been awful its hard finding out one thing and another straight away but also feel at least didn't have chance to get too excited but the. On other hand felt horrible only feeling the bad part I had took a HPT about 7 Wks prior And was neg wasn't actively trying but we both wanted a baby as own place gud jobs etc etc and I came on couple days after period hadnt had one for about 5 weeks and one night started bleeding and in awful pain for hours acty joked saying if I imagined how labour felt that would be it hours on toilet not knowing used a tampon tmi sorry then next morn in agony got up took it out to find clot after clot and what I now know to be my little baby I wrapped in tissue took to docs she was horrible done test positive cervix was closed that was fri but she said had prob miscarried and threw my baby in the bin! Couldn't get appt til the wed at Epau so I went to a and e as had to know they took bloods and HCG was 739 so held hope as was only bleeding pinkish not even a period on sun HCG dropped to 149 labelled complete miscarriage ! Had scan on the tues and just an empty hole ... Worst feeling of my life wouldn't wish on my enemy.

So sorry you had to go thru this an still question why some women can pop them kids out and other clearly good mothers to be get robbed , just means we will cherish every second once we get chance.

It was hot around then And amount of preg women on fb moanjng about heat I wanted to give them what for lol but bit my tongue and hoped for bfp wasn't my time maybe lucky number 9

Did you wait one period or no we decided to let nature decide and Mother Nature sure did lol I've read so many conflicting things and nurse said wait so prob good that its happened like this as in having a period just don't want to wait grrrrrr always so impatient ! Lol xxxxxx

wow.Reading everyones stories are so interesting - everyone's journey is vert different.
Makes me wonder what type of journey I'll have, as wé pnly started ttc end of june.

I'm on cd1 - so AF arrived to schedule which is good. We're going away for a wedding toward the end of my 2ww which will be a feast of wine/cheese/pate (!) So I plan on taking a dew tests with me, so I know whether it is safe to indulge or not.

Quick question - if I take a test dpo 9 (which will be 4 days before AF due) any chance it might be accurate at all? I've got the sensitive 10miu ones from Amazon.

This wedding will be all about the food and wine (well second to the ceremony obviously!) so I'm hoping sods law means I won't be able to taste any of it :-D

jaykay987 Clearblue states that they can detect it from 4 days before AF is due, so I would assume your very sensitive sticks will be able to do the same :)

Totally understand your dilemma Jaykay987 about the wedding and food thing. Since we've started ttc in July we seem to have weddings and dinner parties coming out of our ears! It's so hard because i don't want to eat or drink anything i shouldn't but also very keen not to rouse suspicion from f&f as want it to be a surprise when we finally do get our bfp and feel ready to tell people. Plus if it takes us a long time to get a bfp don't really want to tell people we're trying cos then they'll all be waiting and knowing. Rather they think we're carefree so it doesn't become a big deal and we feel less pressure (must say all my f&f are excellent and they have never pressured us at all but just know they would all make lovely grandparents etc. so would love it for them as well as for us!)

At a wedding last week i just piled my plate high with a gorgeous cheddar and load of grapes so didn't feel like was missing out too much (then af arrived and i thought of all the lovely brie and stilton i could have consumed if i'd known and not turned into a loony woman completely believing i was pregnant!)

And when friends came to dinner i said i was on the wine spritzers but it was just cordial mixed with fizzy water! What is everyone else doing about not drinking with f&f? Are you telling people you're ttc or just avoiding things and hoping people don't notice? I just know my bf would know instantly if i said no to a glass of Wine!! I wouldn't mind at all if i had a bfp and she sussed, but when you're just trying and then it turns out af is paying you a call just feel want to keep that to myself. Going to stay with family this weekend and don't know what to say when they offer a wine!!!

Wishing everyone on the bus lots of luck for this month, bfps here we come Smile

onelifeonechance I did my partying when at UNI and before we decided TTC I didn't really drink a lot or often, so I honestly don't think anybody have noticed that I don't drink now. I am also the one driving, because my DP do not have a driving license, so that is an excuse as well. I love cheese, but luckily not brie and the others, that you usually should stay away from, so again there nobody would notice. So so fare, I have managed to stay away from questions and looks, but know, that if we f.eg. go for sushi with friends, which we do often, then I need to come up with some kind of explanation, haven't figured out which yet tho. My friend is arriving on Sunday, so hoping she wont notice anything, luckily we are driving a lot around to see things, so she wont take notice of none drinking, so just have to stay away from sushi places mainly :)

We're off to a wedding in France this coming Thursday, it's my last chance to indulge so the timing could not have been any more perfect. I come off the pill the end of next week so I shall be certainly making the most of a whole weekend of completely free food a drink! (And our ds is staying at home so we get to indulge even more!)

We didn't tell anyone last time we were ttc as we lived away from home so we didn't have any questions asked. When we came home for a few days I just said I was driving or on antibiotics etc. That bit me in the arse though when we went home a month later for New Year's Eve, I had found out 2 weeks before that I actually was pg, and I had 15 friends asking me all night if I was 'with child'. Obviously the more pissed they got, the more they asked! I had a bleed that night and was petrified but all was ok and I got to see DS on scan ultra early Grin

Thanks onelifeSmile I was starting to feel like an autumn leaf shrivelling up.

The app I'm using is Period Diary Pro. There is a free version but it was very limited and I think this only cost 69p so not too bad.

Sadly Italianwiking84 i'm known for my love of wine - not at all in large quantities - often only have 1-2 glasses max at a time, and before ttc didn't drink much at all during nights at home. Haven't drunk at all past month apart from one glass of wine when on af last week as needed to have some good reason for seeing her!
But i've stupidly had those conversations with my friends in the past (when having a man let alone ttc seemed like it would never happen!) that as soon as someone says they're on antibiotics and they're in a relationship then it is a cause for suspicion so just don't think i could bring myself to say the words without smirking and giving the entire game away!

The driving one is a good one and i've been using that recently but when we're staying with family for the weekend i've got no excuse to drive anywhere!

Think i'm maybe thinking too much about it. Problem is i can't lie, i develop this look that just is blantantly obvious and all my close f&f know it so i've got no chance! I honestly wouldn't mind if i was pregnant and they guessed as it would be kinda funny - but when i'm not and just in the dreaded 2ww i actually just felt a bit silly last time avoiding everything and then af turned up. Enjoy France choccywoccydoodah and eat some scrummy cheese and have an extra glass for me please Smile

onelifeonechance I see your point, defn, and I have the same as you, I cant tell a lie and if I try, I cant bluff it trough over even remember it Hmm so thats why I usually stick to my driving lol... But I see the dilemma, if you are staying over, then the car is not a good excuse.
Now I dont know, how "big" you are, and I dont say this to offend you at all, but could you say, you were on a diet and didn't wanted to drink to much? And stick to like a glass of vine, that you just take small sips from? I dont mean this in any bad way, but I know friends in the pasts, who have used this one, with no question mark, and 4 weeks later told they were pregnant.

Report
onelifeonechance · 12/08/2013 15:38

Italianwiking84 Yes i hadn't thought of that one, that is a good excuse! I'm no Kate Moss but i'm not that big either so it may not go unnoticed as a reason but think if anyone questioned it i'd be able to say it in terms of a 'healthier lifestyle' without feeling like i'm fibbing too much as it's true, i'm just not telling them the reason why! Hey thanks! Smile I know it's a daft thing to worry about but it really has been an issue for me as we want to keep everything to ourselves until we feel ready to tell (and obviously have a bfp!)

How are you getting along? Are you managing to avoid symptom spotting?

Report
ItalianWiking84 · 12/08/2013 16:03

Onelifeonechance- I think the "healthier lifestyle" is great :) and it's not daft thinking about it...
I am getting alone fine, thanks :) besides my cramps in my lower stomach which I don't think is mind playing a game, because even at work I still have them, they are manageable and feels like period cramps but just way to early. I normally only gets cramps the morning of the day when my period comes and af is not due till the 18th so still crossing fingers that the af does not come :)
