We've almost filled the second thread so here is a new one, so we can carry on chatting! Threads #1 and #2 saw some stunning successes and some sad outcomes. We'll have more of the former and less of the latter on thread #3 please!

All comers welcome. I found it very useful to be with people going through the same thing when I did my first cycle, so if you would like to join us, please come on in!

tametortie · 24/05/2013 22:52

I thought it was some filthy fanny candle foreplay!! Wink

buzzybee123 · 24/05/2013 22:57

ha no nothing like that Grin

JuicyPear · 25/05/2013 01:24

You preggo, Tortellini??! congrachewfuckinlations! Thanks I'm well jel, too Envy

Hotel Auschwitz is booked Looks like Prisoner Cell Block H to me but the price is good - summat like 8p per night. We've also booked this shit-hole for our one night in Prague. We needed somewhere dead close to the airport as we'll be arriving late and just want to slip into bed and then leave early on a train to Brno.

To be honest I can't get excited about this 'holiday' as, to me, it's just a trip abroad for IVF, but for th'usband's sake (he works so damned hard for a shit wage) I will try to get in 'holiday mode'. I can't believe it's past 1am and we've only just booked this fucker.

Goodnight, ladies, I hope tomorrow brings peace of mind for our Buzzy and for you, too, Tortie and your injection goes smoothly mejust. Euro, don't blow the brains out of some unsuspecting bambi, will you?

JuicyPear · 25/05/2013 01:30

Fuck me, have you seen the actual state of Hotel Auschwitz? That lobby looks like it hosts swingers parties Hmm

JuicyPear · 25/05/2013 01:46

It looks much nicer here, thank fuck

tametortie · 25/05/2013 08:11

Juicy- you do make me laugh!

I wish I could say for sure whether I was preggo. Bleeding has sped up over night, test I did this morning is still faintly pos but think the poor little bugger is on his way out =( shit!!!

EuroShaggleton · 25/05/2013 09:20

Tame! That's brilliant news. The only downside to this thread is that folks are always graduating just as you get to know them. It's a good advert for IVF. Lots of women bleed. You still have a positive test. Keep the faith!

morning ladies, i'm not usually up and out at this time on a saturday but its quite nice reallly, nice to have Bazza back for snuggles too.

tortie I probably the last one to advise you as my own mental state is highly questionable at the best of time Hmm but don't write it all off yet, although i'm in a mad panic about my own spotting it does happen, and it happened to me with my last pregnancy, yes I imagine some of you are raising an eyebroow at me right now I lost a bit of blood like a light period but my pregnancy did continue, are you able to get a blood test on tuesday then you'll have a marker for the second test to see that it goes up,

noks are you ok you have been very quiet

juicy glad you have something booked, plan something for each day even if its sitting in a cafe or park, there is the lake with the nudists and the zoo and the caves etc, train fares are mega cheap Grin

euri enjoy your weekend, I did think about you and your gun when shehata was being rude to me

NookNook · 25/05/2013 11:52

Tame everything crossed for you here!!

juicypair · 25/05/2013 14:55

Tortie, I'm thinking of you, hang on in there x

How's things, Buzzard? Nice to have Bazza back? You'll soon be back to picking up his crusty undercrackers Grin

Me & th'usband are in some quaint neighbouring village which is holding a War Weekend. Everyone is dressed up in 1940s apparel, there are army jeeps everywhere and some Gracie Fields impersonator warbling wartime hits. I was thrilled to see a vintage stall selling 1940s clothes (my favourite) but then I remembered how tiny that era's clothes were. Lots of women walking around in gorgeous tea dresses and dead animals slung around their shoulders. Spitfires are flying overhead and th'usband is trying to control his erection as a steam train heads our way down the platform Hmm

I am moaning loudly to anyone who'll listen that I have spent £2 on six (yes! six!) violet creams Hmm

buzzybee123 · 25/05/2013 18:30

oooh juicy sounds nice, I love 40's fashion, it was so tasteful and flattering, £2 for 6 violet creams is a bargain compare to down here, Barry is cooking dinner tonight so hopefully something other than just carbs, I went for second blood test today, the dr did it into a syringe and it leaked so had to go back, he did the same thing Angry someone will swing if I have to go back again, I'm still waiting for the results................. not like I'm stressed or anxious or anything Hmm

mejust · 25/05/2013 18:57

hello iv just come back from a nice day out and im pretty calm today as you know i freaked out yesterday as my injection went wrong i think i was that knackered this morning i just sat there and told hubby to do it they do sting a bit but thats the medication not the needle so this mornings was ok as far as jabbing yourself goes still hate doing it though.

juicy you gave me a laugh reading your posts from last night im pleased you have booked now and hope all is goodSmile

hibuzz how are you? iv been using the injection pen will move onto mixed meds soon.

hello motor the clinic didnt give me the option of one off injection

tam i have fingers crossed for you that test gets darker and it all works out

buzzybee123 · 25/05/2013 19:01

mejust I found that if I put the needle in slowly, pressed it slowly then counted to 10 slowly then it didn't hurt so much and I didn't bruise too much, glad you had a good day out, I think seeing the sun helps :)

buzzybee123 · 25/05/2013 19:13

ah ok, so the bad news is my progesterone has gone up from 22 to 24 the good news is my HCG has gone from 1248 to 3719, so now trying find injectable Progesterone

EuroShaggleton · 25/05/2013 19:15

Seeing the sun has definitely given me a lift, buzz (and a headache, but we'll forget about that for now, I refuse to complain about it!).

mejust I'm glad today's stabbing was easier.

juicy I'm glad you've got everything booked now.

tame how are you doing today?

OP posts:
juicypair · 25/05/2013 20:31

The violet creams tasted like my grandma's knicker drawer and she's been dead forever

Buzzy, can you help me, darlin'? Do I need to anticipate problems getting on the plane with my drugs and injections? P.s..th'usband's told me (rather gruffly, I thought) to tell your husband that I've got it all wrong: he is NOT into steam trains (although he does like gawping at them whilst stroking his crotch) - his passion is diesels, particularly Peaks and Deltics Hmm

tametortie · 25/05/2013 20:31

Im ok here. Bleeding has slowed/stopped but im still a bit crampy.

Daren't test again. The lines on the 2 I have done are so faint, I doubt its anything really.

[sits on hands]

tametortie · 25/05/2013 20:34

Buzzy- good news on the blood level! Fab. Does sound like you need a better option for getting the progesterone levels up though- gestone is injectable progesterone.

Juicy- your day sounds gorgeous. =)

I went round a food fair in the sunshine and now feel sick after too many nibbles...

juicypair · 25/05/2013 20:37

Mejust, see? You are becoming quite the expert with the needle. Sometimes it just takes a deep breath and a patient husband Smile Well done x

Twinks, how are you? Does chewing over IVF make it feel any less weird or 'unnatural'? I wish you would join one of the first-timers IVF forums on FF; you would see how many other couples are feeling exactly like you and your husband. You're not alone and your baby is a few brave steps away x

Love to wish, fish, motor, tame, euro, scarlett, choco, nooknook and nokkie xx

juicypair · 25/05/2013 20:45

Buzzy, I am so pleased about your news, excellent. Do everything you need to in order to get peace of mind with the progesterone.

Tortie, (sigh) why can't things be straightforward? I agree not to test until you would normally expect to see a darker line (every other day HCG doubles, am I right?) I so hope this turns out happy for you and your husband x

I guess you could describe the day as 'gorgeous', except for the throngs of forty-stone sight-seers who prevented me from, well...seeing sights. Seriously, at one point I bent down to tie my Mary-Jane's on the platform and completely missed the spectacle of a passing steam train thanks to a foot-wide cankle right in front of my face (and don't get me started on the queue to the hot-dog van Hmm)

buzzybee123 · 25/05/2013 21:24

tortie I just had a look at my tests and to be honest the line took 2 days to get darker on the FRER and 4 days on the internet cheapies, so don't give up yet, the waiting is crap though, big hugs

juicy I'm sure your husband has taped every second the train was there Wink perhaps he will use it instead of the other material in the masturbatorium in Brno Grin

chocoloco1 · 25/05/2013 22:12

Hello!

buzz that's good news re your hcg levels, hang on in there. Where are you trying for gestone? We got some of our ivf drugs in Tesco, it wasn't the gestone, but some stims drugs and they got them within a few hours, might be worth a try. The crap thing is I have a load of it as we ordered another few week's worth before the m/c - wish I could let you have some of mine!

tortie congrats on the positive tests, can't really imagine how you are feeling not knowing what's going on? Are you going to be having any blood tests (sorry, can't remember if you've said)

mejust well done on the injections, you're being very brave, it's not easy at the start to get your head around all the jabs

twinks I felt like you did initially and dh and acupuncturist kept going on(or so it seemed) about ivf and I was very anti and dead set against it, now I'm proud to say I've had ivf and I know personally that I'd have no chance of a baby without it. I think as you say it's getting your head around the fact you have no choice but to have it that's hard initially

wish sorry for delay in getting back to you, we're at the Winterbourne too! I think you said you are starting in a couple of weeks so unlikely to get to meet you there as we won't be going for our next cycle until mid July at the earliestSad

juicy another name change? Well done on getting everything booked up, wow, not long now! Violet creams sound[bleurk]. Smile at th'usband and making himself sound even more of a trainspotter by clarifying which sort he's in to!

euro sorry to hear about your setbacks with the smear results, but hope all will be ok and you can go ahead soon

noks how the devil are you?

I got the results of my blood tests in a letter today and they all came back negative, so I guess that's goodConfused. I had stuff like blood clotting and chromosome tests. The next avenue to explore would be whether to have tests for natural killer cells, do any of you have any experience of this?

Waves to everyone else, sorry I'm a bit behind!
xx

buzzybee123 · 25/05/2013 22:41

juicy sorry I missed your bit about the drugs, I didn't have any drugs to bring back as I get all my immune stuff here, the same with the progesterone etc, I think if you have a letter from the clinic you should be ok. I mentioned to Bazza the trains, its sad that he actually knows what your husband is on about Hmm

tortie I have been told that gestrone is very expensive here and I would need two vials a day, hopefully Reprofit should be able to send them over, its more about getting the prescription for it then actually getting the drugs

choco I had two miscarriages in about 5 months and I am of a certain age, so my EPAU were able to refer me to the local RMC where they tested my immunes, I came back as slightly elevated. This is Mr Shehatas NHS clinic, I didn't get on with the steroids so went to see him privately. Are you able to get referred to your local RMC?? If you can get doe on the NHS it will save around £800+. There are a few who are well know for this, Shehata, Prof Q, Reagan, Gorgy, sp? I am sure there are more, there is a pred thread on here, the ladies on there will most likely be able to answer some of your questions

EuroShaggleton · 25/05/2013 22:48

choc I had the NK cells tests with Shehata. My results showed one marker borderline and the other very high. I took the prednisolne for 6 monthts while trying superovulation and IUI. I didn't get anywhere. It wsa at the end of that 6 months I got my first ever dodgy smear result a year ago and then found out that corticosteroids increase the liklihood of cervical abnormalities. When I got the result, I thought I had finally explained my unexplained infertility, but now I'm not so sure (although it's possible that is what caused my mc). Anyway, because of the smear stuff, I have sworn off anything that messes with my immune system.

As buzz says, the pred thread is full of women with experience of the NK cell stuff.
