We've almost filled the second thread so here is a new one, so we can carry on chatting! Threads #1 and #2 saw some stunning successes and some sad outcomes. We'll have more of the former and less of the latter on thread #3 please!

All comers welcome. I found it very useful to be with people going through the same thing when I did my first cycle, so if you would like to join us, please come on in!

Agree with nooknook

EuroShaggleton · 22/05/2013 22:06

buzz I'm sorry Mr S has upset you. Mr euro has views on him that I won't repeat on an internet forum. Safe to say, he is not a fan.

I'm sure the cramping is just beanie settling in. I had some of this too (I know I didn't have a good outcome, but for me the spotting came the best part of two weeks before bean stopped developing, so everything was fine at that stage and bean was growing normally - it was just getting comfy).

twink infertility is not something to be ashamed of. I feel very strongly about this. I have told anyone who will listen a few people and for me it makes it easier. It's not how I want to conceive, but I refuse to hide it away.

My oh doesn't want to tell anyone because he doesn't want people talking about us and wondering which one of us had something wrong with us. And he feels like he's let me down.

buzzybee123 · 23/05/2013 08:44

i'm sitting at epau hoping to
get a blood test, I had more spotting and I know it might be nothing but I just can't stop worrying Sad

twinklestar2 · 23/05/2013 08:45

Got my fingers crossed for you buzzy. Keep us posted.

MotorcycleMama · 23/05/2013 08:54

Oh buzzy, I hope you get the reassurance you need very soon. Let us know how you are getting on.

NookNook · 23/05/2013 09:11

Buzzy yes, as Motorcycle says good to get the reassurance. Let us know how you get on. Xx

mejust · 23/05/2013 09:48

buzz thinking of you ,hope all is well x

well iv not long had first injection my leg was shaking but the injection wasnt bad it was quick as hubby used the pen,im freaking out after believe it or not about side effects or im probably just shocked im actually doing this now.
hello to everyone

NookNook · 23/05/2013 10:24

Mejust congratulations! You are very brave. I've never really had side effects - although I wouldn't tell Mr Nook that as I can be as moody as I like and blame "the drugs" Wink

EuroShaggleton · 23/05/2013 10:30

buzz I hope you get reassurance.

mejust well done! You are on the way.

twink I figured that as I had been pretty vocal about not being bothered about marriage, when we finally tied the knot in our mid-30s after years of being together, people would be wondering why there wasn't a baby 10 months later anyway, so talking about it actually stops the speculation.

NookNook · 23/05/2013 10:39

Twink I agree with Euro. I got fed up with lying when people pry. Telling them that you would love to have kids but it's proving harder than imagined actually shuts them up. And once it gets around people stop prying altogether! Bliss! Also amazing how many other people also struggle and suddenly you have this awesome support network!

twinklestar2 · 23/05/2013 11:34

I have told my sister today. I won't tell anyone else though, I want to respect my husbands wishes. I think in a few days he'll prob tell his close friend as I said he needed an outlet to vent too.

JuicyPear · 23/05/2013 11:49

Buzzy, how are you doing? Thinking of you at this scary time xx

Being over-40 means nobody ever asks you if you're planning to have kids Sad

JuicyPear · 23/05/2013 20:44

Bit worried about you, Buzzy x

resipsa · 23/05/2013 20:45

Yeah, Buzzy what news? OK?

tametortie · 23/05/2013 21:03

Hope you are ok buzzy xxx

JuicyPear · 23/05/2013 21:14

How are you two super ladies, Resipsa and Tortie? And you, too, Twink, I hope you didn't feel bossed about when I discussed your husband. I know how hard this is for you and I just wanted you to feel more positive and less shameful about this journey x

Thinking of you all nokkie, nooknook, wish, fish, euro, scarlett and mejust Smile

JuicyPear · 23/05/2013 21:16

MotorcycleMama! I missed you out! How are you, darling?

tametortie · 23/05/2013 21:18

Im in bed with back pain- af is so on her way and needs to hurry the fuck up!!!

All well otherwise....

buzzybee123 · 23/05/2013 21:27

hello ladies, I have been mega busy today, so EPAU did a blood test and it came back at 1248, which is ok, my progesterone was 22 which I think is a little low, I emailed my immune clinic and they told me to up the dose to 3 bullets a day, I'm having another blood test on Saturday and we'll see what happens from there, I'm booked in for a scan next Friday unless they want to have a look before, not really feeling anymore reassured about it all

EuroShaggleton · 23/05/2013 21:41

buzz I've been thinking about you all day. I'm glad the HCG looked healthy. The prog should be sorted by the bullets. The scan will be FINE. x

tame I hope the back feels better soon.

Glad you didn't miss me out jewcy - I'm okay, just waiting, and waiting.. How are you? You said that being over 40, nobody asks you about having children.. I was asked the other day if mine had "all grown up?" Cheek.
buzzy I am so relieved to hear from you, and that everything seems to be okay. Phew! Have a rest.

mejust · 23/05/2013 23:01

buzzybee123 · 23/05/2013 23:23

tame back pain was my only symptom

mejust well done on the stabbing :)

twinks until I read your post, it had not occurred to me that one had a problem with needing IVF, I mean when I heard of couples having IVF it never occurred to me that is was one or the other, I just thought it was down to the two of them needing help, please don't let other peoples opinions stop you getting RL support

well now i'm all freaked out about the whole progesterone thing, I need to go to sleep...............

hello to everyone else

twinklestar2 · 23/05/2013 23:24

Baby number 5?! Jeez! I can't even have 1 and others can have 5 at the drop of a hat. Funny how the world works.
