The former thread proved full of sadness and most vexatious disappointments, wherefore we know not :(. Therefore the BESH will be donning their empire dresses and enlisting the assistance of Captain Wentworth and his admirable breeches and Mr Darcy smouldering damply in his transparent white shirt both of whom with their pleasing countenances and sound judgements and enormous fortunes, in short both of whom are everything a young man ought to be in the expectation that happier times may be ahead for the BESH.

By the way, I had my cycle review appointment yesterday. It was ok. Pretty predictable really. As a couple, we have excellent biology, as indicated by 7 eggs, 7 embryos and 5 blastocysts. So it's just a numbers game. Chances are the next one will work. Ho hum. Have tentatively pencilled in a frozen cycle in May.

BoredWomb · 16/03/2013 12:46

Good afternoon ladies, I have just woken up. Jethro, Tina didn't have a name (when I was leaving the farm with her several ragamuffins were screaming, 'you can't take our fucking goat!') so i named her after the llama in Napoleon Dynamite, my favourite film ever.

Northey, how many IVF cycles have you undertaken? Do you mind my asking this? I am waiting for my first appointment.

I am going out tonight with my chap to some stupid ball miles away where I intend to get riotously squiffy. I will simply have to; the dress I bought when severely hungover is ghastly. I fear I have shot-putter's shoulders from overdoing the weights, too. Have a lovely weekend.

maamalady · 16/03/2013 13:03

Anti Lewis? Shock

Sounds good, norf! Roll on May :)

It will come off again, euro, never fear.

I'm still afflicted by horrific droid cramps. I generally don't get more than the odd backache twinge, it's like it saves it up to beat me senseless once every six months or so.

Northey · 16/03/2013 13:07

Nice grammar, bowo. Very nice. I had one fresh cycle which ended in a massive FAIL but four blastocysts in the freezer. Assuming they defrost ok, I'm going to do a natural cycle and shove a couple up in May. See what happens. What sort of ball? Will the ton be present?

CaptainMollingtonCholmondeley · 16/03/2013 13:09

Hmm.
So my opk just tested negative, and no temp rise today. That means an LH surge lasting only 24 hours and no OV.
Is this a low progesterone thing? A thyroid thing? I'm a bit anxious about upcoming lap&dye - wish they'd check the less invasive stuff out properly first..

BoredWomb · 16/03/2013 13:26

Ha! Northey, I would be surprised if any of those types were there (except me Wink); it's the 10th Knights of Malta ball in Edinburgh. I am hoping everybody there is suitably vulgar.

I didn't either bugs I am awful at coordinated dancing. We had compulsory ceili dancing lessons at my secondary school. Pure unmitigated torture.

I am not at my heaviest ever weight but am not far off it. Watching the dancers last night made me want to cry. I have just done a workout DVD and am heading to my friend's house now, but I know she has cake. Why am I so weak??

norf I choose to be cautiously optimistic on behalf of you and Frosty Jr. Fingers crossed.

Backrubs for draf. My droid this month was craptastic too, so you have my sympathies.

Northey · 16/03/2013 16:12

Scottish cuntry dancing, bugs. I also suffered at school. Utter nightmare when you are the tallest girl in the class. And have no sense of rhythm or grace.

twink, I'm also fattening up massively. Now I have decided to postpone wedding, I am just chucking everything down my throat and to hell with it.

BoredWomb · 16/03/2013 16:18

It will be shit, Buggerlugs, I can guarantee it. The upper-middle-classes throwing their money (and kilts) around when they don't give a thought to charity for the rest of the year is something I find hard to stomach - if you ask them to accompany disabled children on trips they recoil in horror. I intend to get thunderously pissed.

CatsCantFlyFast · 16/03/2013 16:30

captain it may not be your usual pattern but could you o tomorrow? Up to 48 hours after positive OPK and all that... Remain on action stations for the time being!
giraffe I have met him and he is a twat. He fucking loves himself, treats himself like the fucking king and therefore I get great pleasure out if him crashing, cocking up and getting beaten. I know he will be fuming that Rosberg was faster than him in the wet and that makes me chuckle in an evil manner mwah ha ha

maamalady · 16/03/2013 16:51

Oh, he's clearly a dick, Merk, but he's still a superb driver and extraordinarily exciting to watch.

Is everyone tuned in to the rugby? Italy-Ireland has got my blood going, come on England!

EuroShaggleton · 16/03/2013 18:24

I know, Norf. All those lovely pastries and bacon and eggs and bread and fruit salad and juice and coffee and mmmmm.

We might end up as cycle buddies. I want to go again as soon as possible, but realistically April is probably out as I am away for what would be ov if my cycle gets back to normal straight away. So it'll probably end up being May.

Your dr is right - getting 5 blastos from 7 eggs is bloody amazing.

PS - I just typo'd your name as Nork. Grin

bugs et al, I'm sulking a bit about being stuck with some baby weight without having won a fucking baby.

captain you're not out yet. A short LH surge is normal.

After having years of formula one drone as the soundtrack to every other sunday throughout my childhood (my dad was a fan), I can happily live without it in my life now.

CaptainMollingtonCholmondeley · 16/03/2013 18:26

(I know nothing about driving or rugby)
I was supposed to be going exciting fun dancing tonight but all involved are ill and skint, inc me, so it's DVDs instead WineSadWine

Someone at work today said they'd met my doppelgänger this week. She is rich and has a baby. WineSadWine

Merk - I'd understood that once OPK's aren't sensing LH anymore, it's game over. Have I totally misunderstood that? Maybe there is still hope then.. I'll see what tomorrows temp says.

CaptainMollingtonCholmondeley · 16/03/2013 18:28

X post euro - thanks for the reassurance. FX..

Northey · 16/03/2013 18:40

Norks is not inappropriate as a name for me.

I wanted to do April as well, and did actually talk the consultant round, but it would actually work better in May for us. April contains job stress and a holiday and a wedding. It's just hard to choose consciously to delay, after so many years of trying for a win right now straight away this second.

JethroTull · 16/03/2013 18:55

Norf you have to do what's right for you though. And if April is a busy / stressful month then you don't need the added pressure of a FT cycle. Enjoy the holiday & wedding.

I could never get on with OPK's Moll. They just did my head in.

FriendofDorothy · 16/03/2013 20:49

I had an embarrassing moment with Lewis Hamilton's Mum who I worked with... I didn't realise who she was and she had lots of pics of Lewis up behind her desk at work and I made some comment like "Oh no not another Lewis fan" to which she replied, "absolutely but then again I am his mother".

I was rather embarrassed to say the least!

CatsCantFlyFast · 16/03/2013 21:30

Yeah I'd say not out captain assuming you get a high temp in the morn

HavingALittleFaithBaby · 16/03/2013 21:39

dor that's a classic! :)

cappy I only ever got on with the clearblue :) OPKs. Put your best undies on just in case!

Nork Wink definitely positive that so many became blastos. I'm still positive about the process working for you. May sounds calmer which might be better..

I only have 5 shifts left to work. Thank goodness!

maamalady · 16/03/2013 21:39

Haha, excellent work, Dot! He really does come across as a colossal dick, but he's backed up by talent and beautiful twinkly eyes...

maamalady · 16/03/2013 21:44

5 mins left of France-Scotland, then a nap, then the rest of quali 12am-1am, then sleep, them the race at 6am. It's going to be a busy few hours!

FriendofDorothy · 16/03/2013 22:11

He might come across as a colossal dick but I met him a couple of times when he was 'off-camera' so to speak and he was much nicer.
