Then I have to take the Tens off... Which is really good at the moment...

fanjodisfunction · 15/11/2012 21:35

Now there's a thing you could invent and water resistent tens machine.

Whatevertheweather · 15/11/2012 22:08

blizy · 15/11/2012 22:11

Bluetinkerbell · 15/11/2012 22:20

Things are definitely hotting up, midwife is on her way, having to breathe through contractions now...

AngelGeorgie · 15/11/2012 22:31

Go Blue go GrinGrinGrin wow... How fab ... Xxx
Elly what a crap time you re having? Remember to take time out for yourself ... Xxx take it easy... Yeh all being well tomorrow I ll be warm & have access to hot water ... Can t wait... Work is getting crapper & crapper ( is that even a word???) I'm done with a load of my staff from today. Long story short; next week our admin staff are striking for 3 days , we ve got to run clinics as close to normal ad poss according to our matron. So , I've been trying to curtail clinics & cover 3 receptions but virtually all staff are objecting to covering admin. I get they want to support our colleagues as we all do but those of us that are trained nurses have a duty of care to our patients & we re stuck as we ve been told we have to provide a service.... So I ve made a decision myself & 3 colleagues who ve offered are covering reception & the rest are on the shop floor so as not to compromise their opinions. ( though I m not afforded this luxury!!!) some of them are just lazy ba***s & see it as a way of doing no work.... My manager had been on long term sick for the last 3 months leaving us with 2 clinic moves in the offing!!!!! So , a sore point really!!! ( especially as he's dumped on us & some of us have known him for many years!!!)
So , short answer ; no I m not applying for my manager's post as don t want the man management side of it....

BabyH xxxx hope you re ok? Xxx see above!!!!!
wtw it's hard isn t it? I still have times where all that happened with Georgie takes my breath away .... Maybe consider counselling??? Boo- hoo to full time work... I returned full time but manage to do slightly longer days now so I ve dropped my hours by 5 a week & manage to work 4 days a week. My day off in the week is a godsend.... Love to your girls xx
.Blizy hope u have a fab time xxx enjoy xxxx

Ellypoo · 16/11/2012 13:54

Oh no angel, I hope the plumber gets it sorted.

Safe journey down to Manc Blizy - soooo exciting!!!

Consultant appointment went well - she sorted a scan out for me which was fab - all well and saw heartbeat etc. She has requested appointments with me with scans at 20, 24, 28, 30, 32 weeks and then weekly after, with a view to delivering (ELCS) between 36-37 weeks. So relieved to have a plan in place (and that everything is currently ok), also that I won't have to wait so long to meet baby. Consultant was excellent, really glad I requested to be under her again. She also went through exactly what they will be looking at in the scans, and what the indicators that something might be wrong that they will be looking out for - any of which could very easily of saved Nancy's life had they done this last time, although I can't dwell on that. She also gave me a prescription for my AD's and explained how & when to wean myself off them if I feel up to it later in the pg, although she knows how hard it's going to be and to not worry if I don't feel I can come off them.

Managed to sneak across to see my Mum while there too, and operation seems to have gone ok, will see her again tonight properly.

spilttheteaagain · 16/11/2012 14:01

elly I have a big smile after reading your post, the relief in it is palpable, what a fantastic consultant and sounds like she will really look after you. I bet you are delighted to have seen your baby today, it's such a great feeling to see them well and having a little wiggle. Enjoy the moment and I hope those ADs help xx
