its early days but I'm already finding the waiting and not knowing hard work.

Bunnygirlie · 02/08/2012 08:31

Hi puppy, weird isn't it that after years of waiting for your period to come now you are dreading it to come :-p
I thought I was pregnant last week as period was 10 days later than last month and then it came with avengence!

PuppyMummy · 02/08/2012 17:30

ooh that's harsh. mine has been 3 days late but last couple been 26 days so hoping it settles at that.

I recommend not poas unless u have to! adds to the stress .

I am due next af about 24th, how about u?

Jenjen85 · 02/08/2012 18:57

Hi girls :-)

I'm in the same situation, got married in April this year and had my coil removed in May (I'm 27). On our 3rd cycle now but nothing yet :-( due on period on 7th but had some spotting today so might be coming on earlier but I usually have a 30day cycle. I never realised getting pregnant would be so difficult until I started reading up about it!! I thought it would be easy?!?

Good luck to both of you :-)

Bunnygirlie · 02/08/2012 22:46

AF due sometime between 16th and 26th if I go by June and July so who knows! AF gone now so guess hubby is in for a good couple of weeks lol. Every 2 or 3 days they say, sounds knackering!
Good luck ladies, keep in touch x

well fingers crossed bunny.

we dtd eod over the month and everyday around when I think I ov. because I'm on hols at mo were starting a bit earlier this month and going for it!

if that doesn't work I'm going to try reflexology!

Jenjen85 · 03/08/2012 09:44

I got my period this morning (5days early) so no BFP for me this month :-( I know Iv only been trying a couple of months but I'm getting emotional everytime my period shows up :-(

woody17 · 03/08/2012 09:57

Sorry jen it's really hard when af arrives.

We've been ttc since January. I fell pg in June but unfortunately had a mc. We are ttc again. I finally got a BFN this morning so am hoping to ov soon. I never thought that getting pg (and it sticking) would be this hard.

So far, we've just been DTD regularly but I think if nothing has happening in a few more months then I am going to start using ov sticks/fertility monitor.

PuppyMummy · 03/08/2012 10:16

sorry to hear that Jen. its always disappointing.

I always try and have something good to look forward to when af arrives. for example 'at least I can have drinks on hols next week'.
for next month when af arrives ill have 'at least I can have drinks on my bday night out'.

I find it helps

PuppyMummy · 03/08/2012 10:18

sorry to hear about ur mc woody.

I guess u know u can fertilise an egg now. will keep everything crossed for u

PuppyMummy · 03/08/2012 22:09

bunny just been reading in an older thread that u were confused with ur cycle lengths?

did u work it out? I keep a note of mine in my diary so I know when cd1 is, how long af lasts for and my estimated ov day.

then u can keep an eye on what each cycle is doing and when to expect the next af.

Bunnygirlie · 03/08/2012 22:58

Woody so sorry to hear of your mc.

Puppy, since I came off the pill in feb cycle haven't been that regular so very hard to keep track of. I've only just started to read about and learn about ovulation the last few weeks, it's a lot to think about.

Keep trying girls :-)

We are TTC and on cycle 12 Sad we can't TTC next month for various reasons but after that we are going to see the GP to get some help.

At this point in time I'm wondering if I'll ever see that second pink line! I'm in my 20's and stupidly expected it to be much easier.

toffeesam · 05/08/2012 21:50

Hi ladies. Can i join this chat. Some of the other pages are a bit confusing with a lot of ov pee sticks and charts.

I'm 32 and have been trying for about a year. Marrid for 4 years, who knew this was going to be so hard. Had a late af last time, got myself exited without cause.

My brother's kids were both concieved accidentally whilst using the pill. Made me think it had to be easy, oh how wrong i was.

Bunnygirlie · 05/08/2012 22:39

Welcome to the thread ladies.

Some people get it easy don't they. Mind you I'm only on third month of trying so I can't really complain yet. Let's hope that this weekend some of us made some babies :-)

OP posts:
toffeesam · 06/08/2012 09:45

Bunny- I gave dtd a dam good go this weekend so fingers crossed. I hope to keep it going for the next week and a bit, then DH can have a rest. Grin

I have my fingers crossed for you all, by the end of the month i hope we have some positive results. Grin

now I'm off for a Brew

woody17 · 06/08/2012 11:49

tuesdaynightclub I know exactly what you mean-I thought this would be easy! Hasn't helped that a lot of people we know got pg on first cycle!

We've been dtd far more than any other month and will try and keep it going to hopefully we will get a bfp soon!

Fx for us all!

PuppyMummy · 06/08/2012 16:28

welcome everyone!
toffee I don't do charts or temp or opks. just dtd!
although I do keep an eye on roughly when I should ovulate and do make a plan of days to dtd!

woody we r going for it this month too! normally start on cd 8 or 9 and do eod til day 20. this month we r doing cd 6,7,8 10, 12,13,14,15, 17,19 and 20!

bring it on!

Bunnygirlie · 06/08/2012 22:46

I have to keep looking up the acronyms lol

Since coming off the pill my periods have been all over the place so can't really track ovulation so just trying every couple of days for next week or so, hubby will wonder what is wrong lol x

OP posts:
Bunnygirlie · 07/08/2012 23:00

Quick question, do you lying down after DTD? Some recommend it so say it makes no difference :-s

OP posts:
leluella · 08/08/2012 16:11

Hi Ladies, I'm 35 and have just started TTC last month. I'm a bit useless as hadn't been tracking my cycles or anything until last month and was surprised that the last one was 33 days. I've always been regular and at a guess thought my cycles were about 30 days. I'm now 36 days since last start and feel like I have had pms symptoms for the last 2 weeks. Thinking of doing a test tomorrow but don't want to get carried away in case its just a late period, would be shocked if it had happened this quickly!

PuppyMummy · 08/08/2012 18:21

hi leluella I would advise u not to test until ur period is at least 3 days late. or longer if u can wait.

I have been disappointed testing, for af just to be a couple of days late.

PuppyMummy · 08/08/2012 18:25

bunny yes I always lie down after dtd. for at least 20 mins.
I usually go for 45 mins depending what time of day etc.
prefer to dtd last thing at bed time so I don't get up til morning!

I also put a pillow under my bum!

woody17 · 08/08/2012 19:02

bunnygirlie I do try and stay lying down afterwards but part of that is because we often dtd when we are in bed for the night, if that makes sense.

Hello leluella it sounds like poas would be a good idea. Especially if af is late. Or you could try and wait until the end of the week? Fx for you that you get a bfp!

leluella · 09/08/2012 21:54

Hi, decided not to test today but think I will need to tomorrow as I have never ever been this late. Also have a hen weekend on saturday so would be could to be sure so I know if I can drink or not!
