Hi Newbie2

Thanks for reply. this is my first cycle I have used, Is it normal to get high readings on day 6,7 and 8!

Really confusing me as I only finished AF on day 5?

woody17 · 20/07/2012 09:36

Hi roxy and newbie we've been trying since January this year but before that we had phases where we were not not trying if that makes sense. This was the first time I feel pg.

Roxyjade · 20/07/2012 09:43

That is the same as me, we have been trying since Jan this year but had phases where we were not not trying. I missed AF feb this year and was certain I was pregnant, but I wasnt.....my periods then decided to become irregular after years of being fine . So annoying, why does it do that.

Have you been tracking your ovulation?

woody17 · 20/07/2012 09:45

Not really - have used the mumsnet ovulation chart thing but that's it. I think that both DH and I want to start tracking it now. He has been doing research and everything! I'm lucky in that af is regular but not sure if mc is going to affect this now.

Roxyjade · 20/07/2012 09:52

It may do, I would maybe have a chat to your doctor about that so you no when to staqrt trying again. I have just purchased a CBFM as I have heard they are really good, especially with irregular periods but dont understand why i have got high readings when I have just had a period.

I have read that it can take a cycle to get used to your body so might just ignore this month. I have heard that clear blue are giving the monitors away, you have to post them your test sticks back but it may be worth going on website and checking it out because they are very expensive.

woody17 · 20/07/2012 10:23

Thanks for the tip Roxie I am going to look on the CB website. They used to say wait 3 months but I think now it's just when you feel ready. The mc handout they gave me at the EPU says if you get pg again with 6 months of having a mc it's meant to slightly lower your chance of mc. But who knows! When you're at school, they make it sound like it is so easy to get pg!

Newbie2 · 20/07/2012 10:41

Roxy you're in high fertility mode so I hope you're DTD ;) This is normal. Lots of ladies start ovulating soon after AF has ended. CD 6 is not that early because I've read that some even start ovulating during AF. My high fertility started on CD 8 so not that far apart from you hun :) I am expecting to reach peak CD 14 (on CD12 today)

Newbie2 · 20/07/2012 10:43

Roxy forgot to say what cd are you on now? Has your CBFM shown a peak (4 bars) yet?

OP posts:
Roxyjade · 20/07/2012 10:57

Hi Newbie2

Oh that is so good to know. Someone has just told me that it is not normal to have 3 high days straight after AF so I should call the help line or stop using.

I am on CD8, This is my first month of using it. its asked for its first stick on CD6 (Wednesday) and then one on CD 7 & CD 8 (Today) and they all say high. I finished AF on Tuesday, CD5. Mine only has 3 bars, does yours have 4? i hope i have brought the correct one, lol.

May I ask how long you have been using the CBFM for?

NicolaHazel · 20/07/2012 17:32

Hi Roxy and Woody. :-)

Nice to see new people here.

Another shite day. And I need to work for a lot of the weekend. Boo!

Newbie2 · 20/07/2012 17:43

Hi Roxy sorry I meant 3 bars! 1 bar = low fertility, 2 bars = high fertility and 3 bars = peak fertility. How many bars is yours showing? Mine is showing 2 bars.

Nicola bugger :( That is sooooo not fair! I hope you've got plans to spice it up a little with maybe a little wine and DTD on the side ;)

letsdothisthing · 20/07/2012 17:57

Hi roxy and woody :)

Same here nicola ...why don't bosses stump up the cash and just employ the right number of people to get through the work - rather than burn out the staff that they do have!! Grr now where's that wine :o

NicolaHazel · 20/07/2012 17:59

Bearing in mind I'm not actually talking to H2B right now I don't even have DTD to look forward to :-/

I don't know how many times I've either asked him to, or asked if he has, chased two of his friends for their wedding RSVPs (deadline tomorrow, they are day guests, so need to know so my table plan maker can get on with it), but he just does not answer the question.

I don't have their numbers, and my attempts to contact them on Facebook have been ignored. So I'm stuck. If I withdraw their invites he will say it's because I don't want his friends there, but he won't chase and I can't. Rock and a hard place. :-(

letsdothisthing · 20/07/2012 18:03

Thats rude to ignore you on FB!!

NicolaHazel · 20/07/2012 18:08

It's rude to ignore a wedding invite worth 85 quid a head too! :-/

letsdothisthing · 20/07/2012 18:27

Yeah exactly... especially after you've sent an invite, then message on FB and they still ignored you Shock remember the feeling though, you feel like things are on hold until you get it confirmed when all you really want to do is to crack on with everything else!

Newbie2 · 20/07/2012 18:59

Nicola could you ask the caterer if they could give you a few more days just for these two people? I had a similar problem. In the end 4 people didn't turn up because 2 had an accident and the other two had to go to hospital. By the time you get married you stop worrying about it (hard to hear and believe I know). Our caterer said that he would give the meals to our suppliers so they were not wasted. Our suppliers were really grateful for it.

OP posts:
NicolaHazel · 20/07/2012 19:31

I don't want to give them extra time. They've had 3 months, which is more than enough. I'll just bump somebody else up to take their place. They can still come to the evening, but I'm not holding places for people.

I want my table plan to get made, so it's tough they couldn't be arsed to respond!

I'm just sick of the entire thing now, to be honest. People are so rude!

Newbie2 · 20/07/2012 19:47

Sounds fair to me :)

OP posts:
NicolaHazel · 20/07/2012 20:05

To be honest, with his family, my family and various friends mucking us about I'm a bit fatigued by it all!

Which is why I'm maybe more harsh than I could be!

At least H2B and I are talking now...maybe get some DTD action tomorrow!

Newbie2 · 20/07/2012 22:44

Nicola I don't know if it helps to hear but I can confirm that what you're going through is partly normal. Bizarre things happen to family & friends before you get married...it's like everyone starts acting a little looney but can't see it themselves. They do say funerals and weddings bring the worst out of people...makes sense to me now :) Just keep focused on marrying your lovely DH 2be and you'll be fine...promise.

I tested for OV with my cb stick tonight. Still no smiley face. Wow I am so inpatient. DH is not back from work yet so I think tonight is a no go :(

Sorry to hear people are having a rough time. We are having a DTD drought. Mr Dragon has a broken finger complete with splint from OT. He us dragging his arm around like it's broken! You'd think no one else ever had a broken bone. Can you tell I'm over being sympathetic!

NicolaHazel · 20/07/2012 23:12

It does, Newbie...we had my gran's funeral in March and mum's side have been weird since then (though some were weird before that!).

It just beggars belief really.

Oh dear, Echo, poor DH with his finger! Men are babies with illness etc, aren't they?!

MumOfTwoCats · 21/07/2012 00:05

Sorry to hear about your troubles Nicola. Whens the big day? I'm sure your table planner is used to these delays.

I loved making my table plan with my sister. Wine and sparkles. It looked good!

This weekend is the start of dtd eod for us. This will be our month!!

Hopefully be alright for tomorrow. Hate the end stages of af, 7 or 8 days for me!

MumOfTwoCats · 21/07/2012 00:07

And started evening primrose oil to increae cewm to catch those swimmers! Anyone else tried it?
