TTC 1st baby # Thread no 4

Wishing everyone a happy BFP!!!!!

We have been TTC 5 months but I told the doc 6mths as I didn't want her to say come back next month as I've heard lots of stories from friends that have tried for 6mths and have been turned away for tests. I think it is really only because of my No AF that has sparked the tests off. Yes and No is the answer to your question. Yes I'm happy that I'm finally going to be tested because that's what I've been banging on about for the last month on here as you all know too well :) but this is also reality for me that it looks like something might be wrong which is a bit scary :-/ Just spoke to my mum about it for an hour and she was really sweet saying I have to think about the house now and put TTC to the back of my mind until 11th Sep. She said its just my character and I've always been this way since a child...can never wait. Apparently when I was little I used to check that my sisters and brother were saving up for my birthday present and I used to hand out my present list months before my birthday...good to know that my patience has improved then lol

My mum also told me that when she was moving house it took her 6mths to conceive my sister after coming off the pill. It is likely that I'm just not giving myself enough time!!

My DH rang up our closest private hospital to find out how much tests would cost with them. £120 for consultation and £70-100 blood test and £250 for scan. I just thought someone on here would be interested to know! I was going to ask my friend what she paid last week but I thought that question was too private to ask. I always thought private treatment was £1000s!

Do you think you may go private? At least it would be quicker.

I'm super impatient too, BTW :-)

I may have considered it however the consultant is on holiday so it would be exactly the same time!

Feeling really down at the moment. I think I'll feel better when this wtf cycle is over - at least once my cycle goes back to normal I'll have a better idea of where I am. I really feel for you newbie as I am finding what it's like now, after having had a regular cycle for years. I just can't make the longing for a child go away at the moment. Finding it so hard after having had it, even if it was only for a few weeks.

Have been mega busy at work today so no time to post
newbie think it's good news on the tests and try not to panic (easy to say...). I personally think its just a reaction to the pill.
woody I know the feeling. I'm the same. Was talking to a friend today who had no af for 7 weeks after the bleeding stopped! I'm not patient enough for that though!
Will have a busy weekend with the in laws so hopefully not too much time to obsess about babies.

3 weeks will fly by, in like you soooo impatient I need to time
Everything down to the last second and when I want something I want it now. Your lucky, I had to wait 3 weeks just for my appointment to come through and when it did is wast another 2 after that and it flew
By. I'm glad doctors are sorting you out. I go back Monday to get my blood result and hope doctor gives me
Something to help TTC. I'm sure you will conceive soon. I'm eating Pizza and drinking wine, one good thing about not being pregnant ;)

Still not feeling pre-menstrual. Loads of CM again tonight.

Found a first response test I forgot i had whilst unpacking a bag. That was a mistake as then I read '6 days before AF' and now having to convince myself not to test Sunday!

Ah...torture!!

That is early to test though as some people won't have even implanted by then.

Still BFN today...CD 27 so could start AF later. Don't feel like she's on the way, apart from my seriously painful boobs!

I had a 26 day cycle last month so thought I'd start today...maybe not. Or maybe I'll get a surprise later!

Great night. My sister is up, so spent the afternoon and evening with them, having a few beers with dinner. Then on the way home we had one more. I was nicely pickled and home by about half 9!

I've been having period like cramps for the last two days. Since I'm on wtf cycle after mc I've no idea what is happening.
Had spotting too but no af.
Suggestions?

Lol, I think your body may still have pregnancy hormones in it, I have heard after mc that it can take a whole for your body to get back to normal. Have you been doctors

I have been experience period like symptoms for a few days now but nothing, same as Nicola, hopefully I will get a surprise later, knowing my luck I will because I'm going out.....always the way, I better prepar just in case

Hi roxy thanks for your input. I took pg test and it was negative while I was still bleeding so was told I didn't need to go to doctor!
Maybe they are just too busy!
Could it be that I had cm but no ov and that af is due anytime?!
This limbo is killing me

Well...tried to induce AF by DTD. And failed.

Thought I'd had success at first as I had some cramping and a tiny bit of spotting. But it appears not. Back to feeling nothing at all now!

I hope you get some answers soon, lol.
