BFP in 2012- a thread for winkling-advice and COD-avoidance!

So... here we are!
In a positive move to avoid monthly heartache this is the thread where we'll ttc in 2012.

"will there be winkling?" of course!
"will there be tinkling?" too right! you filthy buggers
"will there be time in the COD?" probably- but it'll only be short lived!
"will there be BFPs?" YES YES YES!

A pledge! do you think I'm taking this too seriously?
I, wishfulthinking, promise to ttc with all my might. I accept that ttc is a long, drawn out process and I shant allow myself to become too obsessed with the process in 2012. (if I remain in-duffed at new year, however, I reserve the right to be right royally pissed off with life and everyone in general!)

Wishfulthinkng1- ttc numero 1- expecting a sticky BFP on July 31st (and at 28 day intervals thereafter!) Days till wedding - 6!

Mersea fx for you. I know it's trite to say because until it's you it's meaningless but I had my DD at 40. Took a while but no probs in pregnancy or delivery. It IS possible so try to stay positive.

It's the big day wishful have an amazing wedding day.

New to this thread - am on the August one too.

I am getting thoroughly pissed off this week. Have irregular cycles and trying to chart BBT, CM and using OPKs to try and gain some vague understanding of when I am ovulating. Didn't think I had so far but now looking back i had a temperature drop last Sat, an ambiguous postive (not sure about this) on OPK sunday, then a slight increase in temp at the beginning of the week followed by temp spike Thursday which is still high. Now I am thinking that maybe I did ovulate last weekend -- ahhhh! What is going on......

yeah dtd on the monday but would have gone a bit more 'all out' if i'd thought i was ov. Only looked like I could have been in hindsight - poo! Oh well we keep testing and see what happens. I am obsessed with poas for ov, who knows what i'll be like with hpt (probably a nightmare!)

big waves to everyone else. so i am frantically trying to prepare for interview and not think about testing next week. due on thursday, so debating whether to test before interview on wed?? no real symptoms to report. just a bit crazy and emotional, but think that is fairly normal nowadays!

I'm feeling some strong cramping and sore boobage. They tingle and hurt to touch. Not getting my hopes up in case it's AF announcing its arrival. I'm 13dpo today. Still too scared to poas. Going to wait till Friday. Very nervous to go to the loo now. Arrrgh! It feels like the longest month.

Omg red- so if you poas you would defo get result!!! And your going to wait till Friday?!?! How can it be that long? Surley af due tomorrow or next couple of days, is your lf very long or are you actually waiting till your late? Do you usually get sore boobs atall?

I think I have a long lp - 17 days. AF due on thurs, I'm going to hold till max 1 day late and poas on Friday. It's very hard to be patient when the symptoms are this strong. But I want to clutch onto the hope till Friday.i'll know by tue/wed as AF announces arrival thru early spotting.

Get sore boobs every time but not this tingly. Also they start to deflate(can't think of a better word!) just 2/3 days before AF so will see if they deflate or remain inflated :)

I got a negative cb OV face at 7am this morning. I felt a twinge at 11am and tested again to get a cb OV smiley face! Has this happened to anyone else? My CBFM didn't peak this morning either....very confused

I think our bodies are sometimes too sophisticated / complex for technology to second guess. Maybe!

Nicola I'm now envying your no stick policy! It's just extra stress and apparently you can still miss it If you don't listen to your body like you say!

Let's just see how it works yet...and I'll be back to sticks next month, courtesy of CB (unless I manage to get up-duffed this month, obviously!).

Before I go on, I need help with d meaning of : TTC, POAS, BFP, DF,EWCM.

Oops, I'm new here and looking forward to making new friends.

Been reading posts and it has helped cheer me up.

Got married April and DH and I have been DTD regularly.

Now I'm out of the country till Oct and was disappointed when AF showed up.

Now I'd sit back, learn more about my body,find out y cycle became irregular etc.

Any advice wld do ladies... Thank u already.

Nice to meet you! Where are you until October? Is your DH with you?

We have been trying since March ish, got our BFP in May but sadly had an early MC in June. This is our first month back TTC

My mum is getting married at the end of October and I'd really like to be PG again by then. I have in my head that I 'should' have been nearly 6 months gone by then so will be sad if it hasn't happened.

We have decided to call upon the laws of sod and book an all inclusive holiiday at the end of September, so surely I will be up duffed by then and have to abstain from the cocktails!

Not sure what DF is..but I am sure someone wiser will be along.

Have you been charting your cycles for awhile? ARe you away from DH till October? :( That's a long time apart.

Dexidoo.. DH is not with me. He is back in d Uk will I am in Africa till Oct. You are in my prayers and I trust it will happen by then....

As for the charting, my oh my, its really confusing. I tried the OPK, CM and BBT but my cycle is now irregular. It used to b 28days, it jumped to 30 and now its 31, so I don't even kno where or how to begin. Plus I read that if ones cycle is irregular, d OPK isn't ideal and as for d CM, I have no clue, it all looks wet and creamy....ℓoℓ!
