BFP in 2012- a thread for winkling-advice and COD-avoidance!

So... here we are!
In a positive move to avoid monthly heartache this is the thread where we'll ttc in 2012.

"will there be winkling?" of course!
"will there be tinkling?" too right! you filthy buggers
"will there be time in the COD?" probably- but it'll only be short lived!
"will there be BFPs?" YES YES YES!

A pledge! do you think I'm taking this too seriously?
I, wishfulthinking, promise to ttc with all my might. I accept that ttc is a long, drawn out process and I shant allow myself to become too obsessed with the process in 2012. (if I remain in-duffed at new year, however, I reserve the right to be right royally pissed off with life and everyone in general!)

Am 2ww-ing at the moment, which is a good job as DH put his back out yesterday so there will be no action in the kitten household for a few days....

Welcome kitten! Good job he didn't injure himself last week then, that could have caused some fights!

Glad you added yourself resipsa. We promise not to harrass around test time. Although we might obviously get excited when someone is due to test!

Ooh...I've moved back to 11th August now!

Lists scare me a little bit so I might stay off it for now (if no-one minds) (I will tell you every time I POAS though - which you may tire of quickly as I have zero self control!) A few of us with October deadlines in mind

Had a nice chat with DH over dinner about his jolly weekend away...mentioned the words tee and total to help with the baba making. I think the words lead and balloon would describe his response!! (it was a long shot but I thought it was worth throwing out there, at least he might rein it in a bit now!!)

The October deadline a few of you have seems like a good one. In fact I've been thinking recently how lovely it would be to get a bfp in September as that way we could break the news to family by putting scan photos in their Christmas cards......not that I've thought about it much you understand

chuckle I've managed to talk my DH into giving up drinking (with the exception of a few agreed nights "off" for weddings etc). Do you think yours would agree to a compromise like that maybe? I've had to do it with him of course! And I think it helped that he wanted to lose a few pounds anyway so I just kept wittering on about the calorie content in beer....he practically thought it was his own idea by the time I'd finished!

What a lovely idea about the Christmas cards. kitten, I might pinch that (if I get the chance!!)

DH has agreed to 'cut down' on drinking and im happy with that. If we still haven't had a bfp in a few months maybe we will re-evaluate!!

Right added myself onto list. I do like the theme of this thread, ttc is a marathon not a sprint and i need to treat it that way.

Put myself on aug thread but I might be kidding myself, for the 20th time. So I think I might be happier and less stressed out here.

Think ive just had a chemical pregnancy this month, so im about due to get some good news. As I think are some of you.

I do think the EPO and the winking and tinking worked for me tho. May treat myself to some new batteries for my rabbit - for tinkling purposes not conception.

Thought about adding myself to the Aug thread, almost as a dare to AF but haven't done it yet. Thought if I put myself their she might not come just to prove me wrong. Then I remembered that AF is a bodily function and not a being in herself capable of rational though to make such decisions. She fooled me again!

haha. Steal away kitten, so long as we don't have the same parents it shouldn't be a problem!

I think they are things from the July thread but anyway to Winkle is to have your legs in the air after DTD and I thought tinkling was having a wee after DTD (which I read helps in my book!) but I know think it means ensuring you reach your OH GOD moment when DTD after RIBS comment above!

Kilted tinkeling is the big o while legs are still acimbo!!!
Dulcet where have you read the wee thing as I've heard the opposite and try to go first so if it's night time the swimmers stay in?!?

Hello ladies,

May I join....erm....kind of?!?

We were expecting baby #2 but we terminated at 14 weeks as our baby had a fatal abnormality - this was the second time this has happened to us in 3 years! We do have a little boy who will be 1 next tuesday so we know a healthy pregnancy is not impossible. I only went through the procedure 3 weeks ago so we are going to be waiting a few more weeks for AF to return properly before actively TTC.

I hope you don't mind if I just sit on the fence and watch for a bit?? I've bought cake!
