hey ladies,

There are a few of us who are ttc after mc's, however there will be ladies out there who are also ttc for the first time or second or third without success. If anyone is on, considering or had success on a super ovulation programme then do join us. How long did it take ? Did you try IUI with it.. ? Did you have PCOS?

Kicking this off and hoping some of you will join....

jaffa The redoubtable Mr S will give you one, email or text Louise (or phone the clinic!), let her know of your BFP and she should organise it for you. And v cautious congrats :)

jaffajiffy · 31/07/2012 10:50

Thanks for the advice and (very) cautious congrats. Louise is away , so Karen is getting me a prescription. Phew! Now, when am I supposed to have intralipids?

jaffajiffy · 31/07/2012 10:52

kittens the law of sod says you'll get a bfp. A friend whose DH is a police officer had two mc and a chemical and then got pg the worst month for her DH having to be away for the Olympics. She gave birth last week Grin

Arianrhod · 31/07/2012 11:28

Now, jaffa - Karen should be able to arrange for the prescription for intralipids to be sent through to NLC. Only time I ever did it I booked in for the next day - once you've spoken to Karen to ask for the prescription, ring the NLC directly and arrange to go in.

Havingkittens · 31/07/2012 12:08

Well, the thing is, I have a "funny feeling"....

drilling sensation in womb area the day before yesterday, sticky nose (yes, that's an odd one, I know, but the last time my nose felt like this I was pregnant!), sudden extreme and insatiable thirst accompanied by nausea last night and waves of nausea today. I did a test this morning. There was an absolute ghost of a ghost of a line (yes, I wrote ghost twice on purpose! It was almost invisible) but it took a good while to come up so I don't know if it was an evap or not. I'm not exactly sure how many dpo I am. I did my trigger shot a week ago last Wednesday with prescribed fornication on Thurs/Fri so I assume if they think it's still worth a shag on Friday that's when I would've ovulated.

You're right jaffa it really would be sod's law. Obviously I will be thrilled but I could well do without insomnia caused by 40mg pred, 12 more 12 hour days without a day off and no way of getting to NLC for 2 weeks.

Havingkittens · 31/07/2012 12:11

Oh yes, and I went for a wee 3 times before my alarm went off.

jaffajiffy · 31/07/2012 12:12

kittens let's hold hands and cross everything! I'll take ghost of a ghost! How exciting!

Havingkittens · 31/07/2012 12:44

Of course, a lot of these could be phantom symptoms due to tiredness and working in th most ridiculously over air conditioned environment!

jaffa your 2-3 weeks declaration looks like pretty concrete evidence to me!

jaffajiffy · 31/07/2012 13:32

Well, I only had one 15mm follicle. Mr s has just emailed me saying I should test again as it might be a false positive. So he's dubious as well! But everything I've ever read says it's gone in 10 d. Ah well. I'll pick up the pred and take it anyway and retest tomorrow I think. Grr

Arianrhod · 31/07/2012 14:41

jaffa I would say I still had a trace of the Ovitrelle in my system at 12dpo. But not 14dpo. It seems to vary from person to person as to how long it takes to clear your system. And you only need one follie ... :)

Havingkittens · 31/07/2012 15:43

I'm definitely less than 12dpo. That's probably what my ghost was. The rest is probably just wishful thinking.

jaffajiffy · 31/07/2012 18:19

Ok, so I've got the pred and took another test that was immediately positive, so we know it wasn't a faulty test. I will retest tomorrow. I have intralipids booked for Friday am. I thought I'd wait til then in case this is the ovitrelle playing tricks.

Oh why isn't it easy?! Fc for you, kittens. Thanks to you all for the support Smile

Pebbles73 · 31/07/2012 18:21

Wow lots been happening on here today!!! Jaffa can I say a whispered congrats as am pretty sure the ovitrelle would be out of your system and surely one follicle is all you need! Good luck for testing tomorrow....

Kittens your head must be all over the place and will keep my fingers crossed your line gets darker tomorrow.

Welcome back Ari hope you had a great holiday.

Am sitting on sofa with a hot water bottle on my stomach for the cramps and a hot chocolate to cheer me up! Been feeling verysorry for myself today and feel like I will never get a bfp..........

. Follie scan booked for next Tuesday on cd9 which is a day earlier than usual but only appointment Mr S had for the whole week! Anybody else at NLC next Tuesday?

jaffajiffy · 31/07/2012 18:58

pebbles I'm so sorry. I know you've been doing this for absolutely ages with very little hope. And the non-pg treats like wine and goat's cheese don't make up for it. Hope you feel better soon x

Havingkittens · 31/07/2012 19:34

Oh, you poor thing pebbles. I feel your pain!

I am doubting myself now. I haven't felt sick since I got into work. This morning, though, I felt pretty queasy even to the point of retching. Strange. I don't know if it's all in the mind. You know, after so long you spend half the week leading up to the end of your cycle feeling negative and despondent and the other half trying to find symptoms out of any little thing. The very vague shadow of what may, or may not have been a line could very well have been an Evap or left over ovitrelle. Trying to ignore it until there is proper evidence!

jaffa I think we can safely say you are now PUPO. Grin

buzzybee123 · 31/07/2012 21:22

jaffa whispering congrats

kittens fingers crossed for you

pebbles sorry you feel so low, good luck for your scan

interesting to hear about the ovitrelle, i'm 10 days post ovitrelle and still have sore boobs, feel very tired, think i'm kidding myself and going to be very disappointed

Havingkittens · 31/07/2012 22:23

buzzy this is my 5th SO cycle and I've never had sore boobs or been particularly tired still 10 days after taking Ovitrelle so you never know....

jaffajiffy · 01/08/2012 06:01

Morning all. Who's joining me POAS today? buzzy? kittens? I've been awake since 4 with a headache and finally did it. Same result as yesterday. But something's not quite right. Maybe it's the headache, but I don't feel this is quite right. Proceeding with caution.

pebbles hope you got a good night's sleep.

Abney · 01/08/2012 06:49

Hi Jaffa what'a not quite right and what are POA's? :)

jaffajiffy · 01/08/2012 08:37

Hi abney POAS is peeing on a stick. I think a couple of us are at testing time!

I don't know what's not right. I had one too small follicle and it is the first cycle of SO. It just CAN'T be a bfp with '2-3 weeks' on the test. So, tentative PUPO for me.

Abney · 01/08/2012 12:23

Hi Jaffa oh I see what you mean. It is like me testing the first available day and getting 2 to 3 weeks instead of 1 to 2 weeks. I also had smaller follies this time so I had to wait a couple of days for trigger shot. As long as you tell Dr S about it. It will be interesting to know what he says.

POAS. That made me laugh. I would never have guessed. So it is POAS for me Saturday morning.

Havingkittens · 01/08/2012 12:33

jaffa, myf first pregnancy started with really bad headaches. They can be quite a common symptom. I think one or two of the subsequent ones may have also started with headaches too. You've got a strong line, twice. I don't know that you can get such a compelling false positive. Have you spoken to Louise today? How small was your follie? And what day did you have your scan?

Well, my ghost of a ghost has upgraded to just ghost. Still extremely feint but a tiny bit more obvious than yesterday's. I could actually see it without squinting or holding it up to the light! Some passing queasiness this morning after breakfast but less so now. Still not going to get my hopes up in case it's a chemical or the ghost of Ovitrelle. Might email Louise though to see if there are any contingency plans with regards to intralipids. I think there's a company that can come and dot it for you in your home but not sure how early they can come. I'd need to be done and dusted in time to leave at 11am. Does anyone know how long it takes? I have tiny veins so I'm guessing it would take longer than normal. Obviously all thesis academic at the moment but it would be helpful to know as it world be one less thing to keep me awake at night whilst I wait to find out if this ghost actually means anything.

Also, does anyone know if FRER are really that much more sensitive than the Internet cheapie tests? That's what I've used so far. They are the most sensitive ones -10 mui (or whatever the unit is).

Arianrhod · 01/08/2012 14:34

kittens just a quickie as I'm supposed to be minuting a meeting! ... I believe it's Healthcare at Home that do intralipids at home?

Havingkittens · 01/08/2012 14:42

Thanks Ari. I think I may buy a FRER later and see what that says tomorrow and then call them or Louise up if my case looks any stronger.

buzzybee123 · 01/08/2012 17:59

jaffa fingers crossed for you and kittens I got a negative which at least means that the Ovitrelle is out of my system 12 days after taking it only 10dpo, still have really sore boobs and tiredness but don't think its my month,

kittens if you find out about intraplids at home could you let me know
