hey ladies,

There are a few of us who are ttc after mc's, however there will be ladies out there who are also ttc for the first time or second or third without success. If anyone is on, considering or had success on a super ovulation programme then do join us. How long did it take ? Did you try IUI with it.. ? Did you have PCOS?

Kicking this off and hoping some of you will join....

Havingkittens · 27/07/2012 23:06

Pred made me insanely hungry buzzy

buzzybee123 · 28/07/2012 00:10

kittens i'm not taking pred until BFP Hmm

Pebbles73 · 28/07/2012 18:42

Hi all hope everyone has been enjoying the lovely weather this week, I know I have! Hope you had a good holiday Ari and feeling fresh and ready to go again!

Is anyone due to test soon? I had some spotting first thing this morning at 13dpo and now feel like af is coming so no bfp for me this month. Such a lovely day but feeling v grumpy! Sad

Anyway wishing anyone ekse due to test lots of luck, waves to everyone.

Havingkittens · 28/07/2012 19:45

I am 7 do today so I guess I'll be testing mid to end of next week, depending on my resolve. I guess, being on hydroxy and not pred 'till BFP I don't really have an excuse to test at 10dpo!

Havingkittens · 28/07/2012 19:47

Sorry, meant to say sorry AF's seems to be on it's way pebbles. Not surprised you feel grumpy Sad

lemonsherbet · 28/07/2012 20:58

pebbles sorry about AF.

I am also grumpy, saw Mr S and NK cells are getting worse despite treatment. I think basically I am number 1 for high NK and activation. Having a bad day and just wondering if it is a sign we should give up. My AMH level is also in the low fertility range. So am being offered SO. Just feeling very despondent and feel I will never get there.

buzzybee123 · 28/07/2012 21:43

lemon sorry you are feeling despondent, SO is worth a shot, I thought Mr S didn't worry about AMH ?? anyway big hugs

kittens I think we will be testing around the same time i'm 5dpo

pebbels it could be implantation bleeding

Havingkittens · 28/07/2012 23:51

lemon, I was really despondent about my AMH too but apparently my FSH is no worse than expected for my age. You might surprise yourself too. Mr S, when he saw my results was talking about upping my dose of Gonal F but then scanned me and saw I'd had a good response (twice now). He said my dose was very low compared to a lot of women's struggling with ovulation so fingers crossed it will work for you too. Also, don't forget that free had extremely high NK Cells and she's just had a baby.

buzzy I wonder which one of us will be able to hold out the longest!

I may end up testing early so that I know whether to order my next lot of Gonal F & Ovitrelle. They don't deliver it on a Sunday or Monday because of refrigeration issues. I am also working every day 'till midnight until the end of the Olympics so I'm going to have to work out when my OH will be home to take delivery. Fingers crossed we won't need it! I don't want to fork out for it unless it's necessary, obviously.

Pebbles73 · 29/07/2012 00:15

Thank you for the sympathy ladies I do appreciate it and when I come on here I don't feel quite so alone in this crappy situation. Obviously I wish none of you were in this situation either but your support really helps. You can tell my af has arrived as I have come over all emotional!!

Lemon I can imagine how grumpy you must be feeling but don't give up hope yet. Give the super ov a go as you just never know what might work. Also as Kittens said Free's were one of the highest and look at her now. Let yourself feel down about it and feel sorry for yourself and then get started with the super ov! Sending you a big hug.

Abney · 29/07/2012 09:14

Hi all, sorry for the AF pebbles. I didn't feel too grumpy until my 5th SO failed and then I felt grumpy and felt I was never going to have another DC. I will be testing for BFP or BFN next Sunday which will be 10 days past ov. DR S talked me through the process of IVF last Monday and I have a form for a blood test should I decide to go for it. If AF arrives then I have to go and have blood test within 1 to 3 days of AF arriving. I don't really want to spend the money but the money of course means nothing if I get another DC at the end of it. Dr S said it would be 5K and it only tots up if you get pg due to the intralipids, etc. I would go for it but it is trying to get my husband to agree. I already have the money (my money) but he thinks it is a waste of money and he does not want to go and give a sample even though they said we could book a room in the premier inn opposite. He would also have to have blood tests which I have not told him about as 2 times out of 3 he faints when the needle goes in. Anyway good luck to all testers this week. We need some more BFP's.

lemonsherbet · 29/07/2012 09:31

Just wanted to say thanks for all the kind words am feeling better today. Just can not believe how high my NK cells are now.

Good luck to those testing. Can I ask with SO I was told the injection needs to stay in the fridge but it is on the same prescription has the letrozole so do you get them both at the same time? or can you get one and then the injection later?

Havingkittens · 29/07/2012 10:01

lemon, the cheapest place to get the Ovitrelle is from Healthcare at Home (or from NLC via Healthcare at Home). Mr S usually prescribes it separately to the letrozole. You could phone Louise or cheryl and ask for a separate prescription for the Ovitrelle via HCAH and just fill the Letrozole one at the chemist.

Havingkittens · 29/07/2012 10:02

Just to give you an idea of price - Ovitrelle is £20 if you pick it up from NLC (if they have any in stock, you have to check first), £20 + £14 delivery from HCAH and about £45/50 from Boots.

lemonsherbet · 30/07/2012 07:01

how do you do your prescription at health care at home?

Havingkittens · 30/07/2012 10:27

Mr S/Louise sends it through to them and then they phone up to take payment and arrange delivery. They usually phone a couple of days after the follicle tracking scan, as that's when i get my new prescription but then I tell them I will hold off and call them if/when my period starts. It's cutting it pretty fine with the Gonal F as I need to start taking that on CD3 but not a problem at all for the Ovitrelle.

Arianrhod · 30/07/2012 10:57

Hi ladies, back and really enjoying the rain that greeted us yesterday, along with thunderstorms. And having seen the weather forecast for this week, apart from today says rain all week. Welcome home to summer in England! :(

Trying to catch up but may miss something that was asked of me - if so, sorry, and ask me again!

brownstag No you can't take an international prescription anywhere unfortunately, you'd think given that we're part of the EU we would be able to, right? However, not so! Reading through the Fertility Friends posts it seems some branches of Boots are ok with the printed prescription and don't ask for the original, but I guess that will be down to individual pharmacists discretion (one lady mentioned she phoned her Boots first). I used Rigcharm (as recommended to me on FF) and it was easy as anything, emailed through the scanned px to them, they emailed me back telling me how much, I phoned them with my card details and they couriered the anti-bs to me for the next day. I think there are another couple of pharmacies listed on FF too.

lemon I get my letrozole from Asda, cost me £4 something when I got it a couple of weeks ago.

buzzy I have almost the same treatment plan as brownstag except I have Erythromycin instead of the Doxy. So, Azithromycin on days 1, 8 and 25, and Erythromycin the other days except for day 2, which is a 'take nothing' day. My treatment is for hidden C plus ureaplasma.

abney So are you thinking of going for IVF then?

Abney · 30/07/2012 18:26

Hi Ari if it was up to me yes. I wouldn't waste anymore time. But DH says it is a con and a waste of money. He says I can get pg so there is no problem. Since last mc it has been 5 months of trying. This is my 6th attempt at SO and I test at the weekend for BFP or BFN. I have a form to go and have blood tests on day 1 to 3 of AF to start the ball rolling but can't pursuade my DH at the moment. I daren't tell him that the success rate for my age is only 9%. Unfortunately my DH is one of those who says the complete opposite to me ie if I say something is black he will say no it's white. I said OK so if I don't get pg how long should we give it. He said wait and see. Then he reminded me that I had been pg sooooo many times (approx 11). He didn't mean to be nasty it was just a reconfirmation that I could get pg. Realistically if I got pg again and I threw everything at it and I still suffered a MC and it was not down to a chromosone issue it might have to be game over for me as that would take me to the grand old age of 45. Dr S said that 2 ladies had recently fallen on the 6th SO attempt so I have to just keep my fingers crossed.

buzzybee123 · 30/07/2012 21:43

kittens I can only get my drugs delivered on a Saturday so will test on Friday 12dpo Hmm I think it takes 10 days for the ovitrelle to work its way out of your system, my boobs are still really sore.

ari Welcome back :)

abney has your DH been tested recently??? Mr B's semen has was really poor 6 weeks ago, although last year we got pregnant quite easily, he retests in 2 weeks then we'll have to decide what we do next

Abney · 30/07/2012 22:10

Hi BuzzyBee he has never been tested and Dr S has never suggested it. All a bit strange. I guess 5 months is nothing in regards to TTC. I have been pg 4 times since 2010. Twice in 2010 and twice in the second part of 2011.

buzzybee123 · 30/07/2012 23:05

abney I fell first month of trying and then the third month after my mc, the only reason Mr S suggested it was because I asked him if he thought alot of weight loss 82kgs to 65 kgs could affect sperm, I think he did it just to humour me really, I did it on the NHS, they weren't good so that for was an explanation as to why we are not getting pregnant, have put Mr B on lots of vitamins and he has gained 1.5kgs and is a little less stressed so hoping for better results if not we look at IUI or IVF. 5 months on top of everything else you have been through is along time, its been 11 months since I last fell pregnant it feels like an eternity

jaffajiffy · 31/07/2012 08:29

Hi all. Sorry to butt in with no name checking, but I'm on cd 26 with a bfp, 1st cycle of my second round of SO. I took the trigger shot two weeks ago. Has anyone had an ovitrelle bfp 14 d after? It says 2-3 weeks, which seems unlikely.

I've texted Louise. Bit of a whirl here!

jaffajiffy · 31/07/2012 09:02

Ps lemon my amh has been 'undetectable' for over a year. Mr S really doesn't take much notice other than to increase the letrozole quite dramatically (I'm on 7.5). My fsh is 10.3, which he's more interested in. I got pg on the 5th cycle of SO last year. I think if Mr S isn't stressed, it's not worth worrying about.

Havingkittens · 31/07/2012 09:54

jaffa, Ovitrelle should be well out of your system by 14dpo! Oooooohhhh! Fingers crossed for you!

I've just realised that if I do get a BFP there's absolutely no way I can get intralipids before mid August. I'm already on 10dpo today. I am working every day until midnight until the Olympics is over.

jaffajiffy · 31/07/2012 10:08

How the hell do I get a prescription for pred? First pred timer here!
