The BESH Republic Of Rulvakia

Welcome to The BESH Republic Of Rulvakia. The national drink is of course gin, state funded to get you into a state. We have many traditions and customs, such as sechsing, swearing for the fun of it (optional) and urinating on little white sticks.
Enemy of the state is Droid, who must be heckled heartily should it put in an appearance. There is an ongoing lottery to win a baybee, being granted citizenship of The Republic is your ticket to the lottery.

As a democracy all members are entitled to put forward any customs or rules they would like and we can all adopt important but silly titles if we like. See the George Carlin sketch about hats and religion and make your own mind up about whether you would like a ceremonial hat to accompany whichever title/role you bestow upon yourself.

Newcomers should find and complete the BESHtionnaire so we can make sure you are cynical and non-fluffy enough to be granted Citizenship.

Some women really do make a massive deal out of it though. I have to say, if I was going to get myself in such a state I will instruct CGH to intervene with an epidural request.

FriendofDorothy · 10/06/2012 20:28

No it hasn't made me worry. I likw to think that I would be like the 'Perfect Princess Woman' - all calm and lovely. In reality I would probably be like the other woman - screaming like a banshee and being really melodramatic!

I think you are entitled to be a shouty, sweary unreasonable nobhead in labour if you're trying to push a melon out your chuff.

eurochick · 10/06/2012 21:07

I have IBS too, so it' s difficult to tell wyn, but some months I do get a very distended belly around ov.

It's Kung Fu Zombie Killer, Bugs but you were near enough! I love the sat nav reference! I don't even know whether to will them to swim left of right this month as if I ov on day 14 it's from the right side, but most of my ov pains were on my left side! I think I will just will them to divide and conquer!

CaveMum · 11/06/2012 08:19

Morning BESH!

It's peeing down with rain here in Cambridgeshire - yuk! Draught, what drought?!

Currently sat in the hospital waiting room, again as Day 28 blood test (being taken on Day 30)! Is due. No sign of a temp bump so pretty certain I've not ov'd. Getting thoroughly fed up now Angry

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 11/06/2012 08:56

Hope the blood tests are over and done soon cavey.

Good luck for this morning Norf

queenrollo · 11/06/2012 09:13

Snot too early queenie and I reckon it's a good sign :)

I'm watching the football waiting for MSB to come home. He was a bit upset that he finishes work at 5 when the kick off is 5. Hope he doesn't get caught speeding on the way home Hmm I'm so very rock n roll. Bought MSB a small pack of bottles beer and myself tropical juice from the co-op!

Northey · 11/06/2012 17:57

Ah, is that why the trains are so quiet? Hurrah for football giving me a lovely commute.

First day went ok, though cavey's blood test does remind me tat I have AGAIN failed to phone to ask the hospital to do the paperwork for mine. What with me turning out to be Not Diffed this cycle, and everything.

How are you feeling today, fidelity?

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 11/06/2012 19:45

Yes I suspect many folks knocked off a bit early for the 5pm kick off. How was the first day norf?

Am I fidelity? I quite like it if that's me! Tbh I'm bleurgh. Just had another ridiculously long bath cos its the only thing that makes me feel comfortable :( Back to docs tomorrow since I need the strong painkillers. Have had a quick look on system and there's no Outpatients appt booked. I'm worried if I leave it it will go on indefinitely so I'll ask GP to chase.

bugs I have ensured we apply your techniques this cycle! I think I've felt ov pain - opposite side to general ongoing pain- so I think the hard work is done but will continue regular sechsing for good measure!

Northey · 11/06/2012 20:01

Yes fidelity is you! Sorry you're still in so much pain. This is getting ridiculous. Can you kick some medical ass?

First day was ok, if knackering. Off to bed with a book in a sec.

CaveMum · 11/06/2012 20:12

Norf, did they not give you a stash of blood request forms? When I got my first prescription they handed me 10 pre-filled out forms.

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 11/06/2012 20:13

Can't carry on like this. Making me proper miserable. Restricting my social life! Pulled out of the ball this weekend :( I'm just about managing work but people agree noticing - perhaps the combo of constant grimacing and hobbling is giving the game away! Worst thing is the sechs has become uncomfortable too Shock Feels a bit like losing my virginity again Hmm Baybee making attempts have been tricky but technique essentially leaving it til last minute! has made it possible. That's not right though is it? Never had owt like it. Will consult GP.

Glad first day was ok. Inevitable that it's knackering, where you staying in the week? With the 'rents?

Northey · 11/06/2012 21:37

faith, that sounds unbelievably dreadful. What sort of pain is it? Where do you feel it? As for the sechs, mucho kudos to you for soldiering on. Could you bear to use a syringe and a pot, do you think? It removes physical stress in a really helpful way, though I know the concept is a bit wrong for some people. I got my syringes off amazon - free with a tube of pre-seed. And for a pot, I use a glass I swiped from Eurostar business class. To give my eventual baybee a cosmopolitan air.

cave, the hospital told me to phone and request a form when my period started. When I finally get through to them I am going to ask if they can do me more than one, to cover next cycle too.

Northey · 11/06/2012 21:37

fee, yes, living with parentals in the week. Then home for sechsing on the weekends.

blonderthanred · 11/06/2012 21:41

That sounds awful Faith. I really think you've been through enough in recent months. I hope your GP can get to the bottom of things soon.

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 11/06/2012 21:56

Fanks laydees. Want to say its not that bad.....Contemplated the syringe approach norf, wouldn't rule it out but managed without. Yes I shall push for GP to get me seen!

How are you blondebabe?

blonderthanred · 11/06/2012 22:22

I am not bad thanks Faif, baby moving quite a lot at the moment which is nice either that or it's the wind , kind of in hibernation mode wishing I could spend some time alone with bump, so work and house residents a bit unwelcome at the mo.

I considered the basting option when we kept having the sechs fail but TBI wasn't comfortable with it. Might be different if it is just because of physical difficulty though? But really of course you need to get all this sorted. Just seems so bloody unfair that it should interfere with ttc as well as ruining your social life. And just being fucking painful.

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 12/06/2012 08:44

Yes when I first contemplated syringe method read about it on MN I laughed! But at times it does seem like a practical option, especially when pain is an issue.

How exciting that your baybee is wriggling now! Are you relaxing a bit now and starting to enjoy being diffed?

blonderthanred · 12/06/2012 09:39

Well, yes and no - I am absolutely enjoying watching my flab turn into bump and feeling those prods and squirms, and i have been delighted all the way through, but I don't think the menkul ever stops. I've got used to the idea of people knowing now and it's nice when they ask although I always answer cautiously (as I seem to be doing now!)

It still seems like such a miracle after several very bad and painful years in my life. I hope so much it will be a new beginning. Every wriggle makes me smile.

I just hope you and the other BESH soon get the luffly baybees you deserve too!

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 12/06/2012 18:42

Aw, that's luffly.

Everyone is very quiet.....
