Welcome to The BESH Republic Of Rulvakia. The national drink is of course gin, state funded to get you into a state. We have many traditions and customs, such as sechsing, swearing for the fun of it (optional) and urinating on little white sticks.
Enemy of the state is Droid, who must be heckled heartily should it put in an appearance. There is an ongoing lottery to win a baybee, being granted citizenship of The Republic is your ticket to the lottery.

As a democracy all members are entitled to put forward any customs or rules they would like and we can all adopt important but silly titles if we like. See the George Carlin sketch about hats and religion and make your own mind up about whether you would like a ceremonial hat to accompany whichever title/role you bestow upon yourself.

What's everyone up to today? I'm mostly going to potter luff that phraseluff that turn of phrase-- maybe see my friend, being brave since she's diffed, just gradually unpacking.

We got back at 11pm last night. Barcelona is amazing, I have stayed with the most lovely people and met many more and just had a properly relaxing holiday. I cried like an idiot when we got on the train to come home, because I will miss my friends and my papa who told me that he's very ill and there is a real possibility I may not see him again
Spent the day in Paris yesterday which is hideous in comparison to Barca and I have no desire to go there again.
It is fecking cold in England after living with 27 degrees all week. Not happy. Am breaking out the winter woolies already.

I'm so miz with this pain. It's got really bad again :( I'm meant to be going to a ball next Saturday but I have no dress (and it's 1930s theme), no accommodation and I really don't think I'll cope with travelling to Oxford. I'm going to have to pull out aren't I? :(

Re. the ball - a 1930's theme is fairly easy to do. It's all about styling and adjusting something you might already have in your wardrobe. For example you could wear a tweed skirt, silk blouse and a headscarf a la Daisy in Great Gatsby (see current pics of Cary Mulligan). Tell us what you've got and we can help!

I've got purple Mary Janes which I absolutely luff :) they will work. I want to wear a dress really but I don't really have anything that works. I was just going to go to Debenhams and see what would work with the shoes! It's just that this morning all I've managed is breakfast and to empty the dishwasher - will I manage 3 hours travel next week?!

Newbie BESH here (although I am still 6 months away from being an official BESH), but you lot are more entertaining than the vast majority of people in here.

Definitely c). a) sounds painful, b) means you're slightly off-course and d) is for people who don't understand science

4. Testing - when someone wonders if they should test for updiff (pg), do you: a) bellow 'POAS!' at them non-stop and punch them repeatedly in the kidneys till they wet themselves anyway. b) Sprinkle them with babydust and send them hugs and kisses on lickle baby angel wings.

I have tried to scan back through what I missed while away but DS keeps demanding my attention.

I did a FR this morning and it was an absolutely instant positive result. I have told HOLB who said he doesn't know whether to be excited or not. I feel the same to be honest. It's been a long road to get here and after the misery of the CP/MC at the beginning of the year I think we're right to be cautious.
I do have very sore buzzwams though. DS kept trying to hug me when we were out earlier and I'm finding that difficult because it hurts.
I am at risk of ectopic according to my Cons, so until I've had it confirmed that this egg is in the right place I won't be able to relax. Am a bit unsure how to progress. Cons said to inform him as soon as I fell PG, other surgeon said to go to my GP and be referred.
hmmmm I may see my GP first who is sensible and will advise best course of action.

Gosh, rollo you must be in a roller coaster at the moment. I shall dance cautiously in a semi- nekkid way and cross fingers and toes that this diff works out for you.
