About to start TTC#2 - does anyone want to come along for the ride?

Hi there,

So, DD is going to be 3 in June and I'm going to be 38 two weeks later. About a year ago I wanted a 2nd DC but DH didn't. I then changed my mind at Xmas.

DH has now changed his mind and persuaded me so finally we're in agreement and ready to go.

CD1 is due this week and then we can start.

Is anyone else ready to TTC#2?

Thanks Pickle keeping everything crossed!

Welcome Winter, hope its a successful month for you

Ahhh, sorry Jessi not quite out til the fat lady sings though?

Something That must have been lovely to see bean! (Cant see the fb pic though!) Why the emergency scan though? You OK?

somethingwittynot · 27/06/2012 09:52

baby splodge is now on my profile on here! had really bad pelvic pain but all is good!

Em2010 · 27/06/2012 11:14

Hey All,

Welcome winter, sorry about the bfn jessi but as Eddie says not over yet...

Big 14 DPO today, I think, but getting very anxious because the pregnancy symptoms really seem to have dropped off in the last couple of days. Nothing at all today except sore boobs. I keep poking them to check!! (I'm sitting at my desk. My colleagues must think I am a headcase...) I can't concentrate on work at all so hence, on MN instead!! Finish work at 1 and going to go straight home and poas... praying it's still a nice strong positive!!!

Em2010 · 27/06/2012 11:45

me again...

I really should go back to my work but it seems so unimportant compared to staying pregnant..... I know I'm going to stress out when I leave about all the things I should have done. DS nursery just phoned to say he has bumped his head on the chicken pen (????) I hate it when they call me at work, I always expect them to say he's been sick and can I go and pick him up immediately. Ok I really am wittering on now. Going to go and do some work now. Really.

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 27/06/2012 12:28

They call me like that too. My ds is forever falling over in the garden and they call to let me know.

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 27/06/2012 12:28

It's impossible to work when you've just found out, you will just have to pretend!!

Jodiebodie · 27/06/2012 13:11

Glad all is okay something. Must have been scary but what a relief.

Welcome winter, my DS is 1 and so we're hoping for a little playmate for him!

Let us know how you get on Em. I'm sure you'll get another BFP. I remember testing at 10 weeks last time just because I had a day with no ms etc! X

Em2010 · 27/06/2012 13:22

Thanks pickle - how are you getting on? and Jodie! Home now but don't need to pee so can't test!! Grr! Will have to go and smother ds with unwanted affection ! (cue shouts of "no mummy!" as I try and cuddle him!) there's barely a scratch on him from his run in with the chicken pen!

Em2010 · 27/06/2012 17:18

Tested again (twice just to be sure!) got out the big guns- the clearblue digi. Both bfp, digi dated at 2-3 weeks which is such a relief! Hope this is a lucky omen for everyone else!

EddieIzzardIsMine · 27/06/2012 20:09

Yay Em! Now relax! You are pregnant so enjoy it, take it as easy as you can and enjoy knowing that in Feb/March sometime you'll have a new bungle of snuggiliness!

Congrats!

And good luck, fingers crossed, rabbits foot, 4 leaf clover and anything else that might work to all the rest of us waiting on BFPs!

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 27/06/2012 21:23

I did about 12 tests. I haven't done one for a week now, I got a three plus on a digi and that will have to do till my scan!!

Good luck everyone! Sure there will be another lot of bfps soon!

Jen0226 · 27/06/2012 22:13

Big congrats Em :)

Welcome to the newbies!

I'm due to ov this weekend and I'm going down with a cold.. typical :o(

Jodiebodie · 28/06/2012 10:21

That's great news Em! I think you can stop testing and start planning for bambino #2!

Well I'm growing increasingly negative about my chances this month. Not really sure why, probably because I didn't have any signs of ovulation. I'm preparing myself mentally for a BFN! AF due on 3rd, that's very approx though as have no idea about cycle!

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 28/06/2012 10:41

Good luck everyone, Em I know how you feel I spent about £50 on tests. My friend told me to control myself as we are going to need the money for nappies soon!

Bazzle · 28/06/2012 10:51

Oooooooo congratulations Em fab news!

Welcome to all the new people and good luck. Something glad your early scan was good :)

All ok here - 6.5ish weeks now. The retching started today and i am feeling rarther terrible and sorry for myself :( i know i am lucky though and that the sickness is a good sign so trying to stay upbeat! x

EddieIzzardIsMine · 28/06/2012 11:20

Snap Jodie! Also due the 3rd/4th and havent had any ov cramping or ewcm...

Poor Bazzle! On the bright side its a good sign but sometimes hard to remember that when you're hanging over the side of the loo all morning!

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 28/06/2012 11:33

Bazzle you going to join any of the ante natal threads? There are a few of us over in Feb now.

Im 7 & 2 and no sick, I didnt get sick last time, got really worried over it (amongst a million other things like driving over bumps!!! so I am making myself be more hard core this time and not worry)

Good luck everyone, with any luck you will be hanging over a basin soon!

somethingwittynot · 28/06/2012 11:38

So just seen my midwife and I got a shock! She looked after me whilst I was in critical care after having zac! She's lovely said I can try for a VBAC and sent my scan referal off! shes referring me to a consultant whos very pro VBAC and i might be booked for regular growth scan due to previous PET

jessi0343 · 28/06/2012 11:49

Hi everyone, need a bit of help. After 2 bfn's and still no AF, I did a first response again this morning, and got the faintest faintest second line. But it's so faint I feel unsure! I showed my mum and even though she can also see it she thinks it's so faint maybe its the evap line?? Oh goodness I don't know. I am going to run out and buy a better test! What do you recommend?

somethingwittynot · 28/06/2012 12:08

evaps look like a shadow or dent in the test. post the test on your profile and ill go look

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 28/06/2012 12:09

It depends on how long the line took to come. If it come up straight away but is faint that not a problem, outside of 10 mins could be evap.

Only I think First Response are the best!! Clear Blue digis are not as sensitive?

Maybe try one more First Response, Im excited!

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 28/06/2012 12:09

www.peeonastick.com - lots of info on tests here...

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 28/06/2012 12:10

Is it Pink? Life witty said the evap lines are normally greyish. And Pink tests are a lot better for not getting Evap lines as well, which is good!

somethingwittynot · 28/06/2012 12:20

i use first response! def the best

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 28/06/2012 12:34

Probably the sensible thing to do it not pee on a hundred today (Like I would do)

But wait till the morning and do a another FR with FMU.

Keep us posted!
