About to start TTC#2 - does anyone want to come along for the ride?

Hi there,

So, DD is going to be 3 in June and I'm going to be 38 two weeks later. About a year ago I wanted a 2nd DC but DH didn't. I then changed my mind at Xmas.

DH has now changed his mind and persuaded me so finally we're in agreement and ready to go.

CD1 is due this week and then we can start.

Is anyone else ready to TTC#2?

Thanks guys!! Grin

Hi all sorry I've been MIA this last fortnight. DS has been in hospital. All very scary but he's ok now. Anyway needless to say, not much chance for SWI on the crucial dates. Am expecting AF any day and feel like it's on the way...

Congratulations to all those with BFP's - something I'm so pleased for you!

somethingwittynot · 15/06/2012 19:40

Thanks everyone! Is it ok to hang around until my scan?

Em2010 · 16/06/2012 00:02

Bugger! Just wrote a really long message and then stupid phone has gone and wiped it. Now, where was I....

something will be good to have your company over the next few weeks. Perhaps you'll be a lucky charm for the rest of us!

home glad to hear your ds is on the mend. Must have been an awful ordeal for you guys.

aday meant to say before that I was sorry to hear about your bfn. As posy says though, it's not all over until AF arrives. Fingers crossed for you.

Bit miserable here this evening. In a bad mood with dh and snapping at the poor man. I'm going to start counting myself as dpo now as opk is consistently negative and actually I've lost the digital reader pretty convinced it hasn't happened this month though x

Jodiebodie · 16/06/2012 00:04

Yes good luck Bazzle.

We conceived DS on cycle 3 so didn't take too long (although it seemed like ages at the time). I'm also trying to be realistic this time and so be prepared for it maybe taking longer.

somethingwittynot · 16/06/2012 09:47

So I did another first response and superdrug this morning and the line Is stronger on both so that's all good! Told my mum about splodge over the phone and now I'm nervously wairting a text or a call....

jessi0343 · 16/06/2012 11:06

Yay something, that's great! And yes do please stick around!

Home, hope ds is better

So who's in the 2ww with me? I think em, posy, aday, home, and bazzle (who's testing today!) Am i missing anyone else? Am keeping really busy next few weeks so hopefully won't be tempted to test early. Good luck to us all! And good luck shaggers!!!

somethingwittynot · 16/06/2012 13:09

Yay am glad I can stay this feels like home haha! Starving and slightly sicky feeling today but no sick. By the first day of my last period I'm 4+4 today.

Em2010 · 16/06/2012 14:34

All healthy symptoms something! Did you get much ms with your ds?

Set myself a poas date and going to try really hard to stick to it. 29th June! Like jessi I'm going to try really hard to keep busy the next couple of weeks so I don't go crazy imagining symptoms and then feeling mega depressed on the days when I don't think it's happened! Arghh- such an emotional roller coaster!

Bazzle · 16/06/2012 16:21

Sorry no time to read posts but just wanted to say BFP!!! Wooo. Good strong line right away :)

With dh now but keeping it secret till tomo. He is doing the London to Brighton bike ride so me and ds will tell him when he crosses the finishe line Grin xx

Em2010 · 16/06/2012 17:34

Woohoo! Congratulations bazzle!! Can't wait to hear about the octuplets! Dh will be so chuffed when he crosses the finish line to such fantastic news! x

EddieIzzardIsMine · 16/06/2012 22:06

Knew it Bazzle! Congratulations!

jessi0343 · 17/06/2012 02:21

Yay bazzle!!!! Am so so thrilled!! What great news, and telling DH at the finish, oh that's so lovely

posypoo · 17/06/2012 08:23

OMG congrats Bazzle! - that's such perfect timing too. What a nice father's day present.

posypoo · 17/06/2012 08:25

Just read your post thehome - so sorry to hear about your DS, what was up with him? sounds v stressful. Positive thoughts for next month.

EddieIzzardIsMine · 17/06/2012 08:38

Right, another update of stats now Bazzle is in the family way too! Cant keep up! 4 BFPs out of 12 people (I think) on the thread, 25% sucess rate so far!

Eddie - CD12, Cycle 2, cycle length 28 days(ish), Poas/AF date 4th July
Cheese - BFP! EDD 6th Feb 2013!!
Pickle - BFP! EDD?
Jessi - CD17, Cycle 1, cycle length 28 days(ish), poas/AF date, June 29
Aday - 11DPO, CD29 Cycle length 30-32 days poas/AF date, June 17
Something- BFP! EDD 22/02/13!
Bazzle - BFP! EDD??
Em- CD20, Cycle 2, cycle length hmmm around 38 days...?
Coco- CD 5, Cycle1 Cycle length 34/35 days
Posy- CD 24 - eek. Cycle 1.
Daily-
Jodie- CD9 cycle 1, cycle length not sure since DS

Still a 'shagger' atm, think I should OV on Tuesday so still getting as much 'horizontal time' in as possible until maybe next weekend and then have the dreaded 2ww....

Bazzle · 17/06/2012 08:39

Thanks everyone! Excited but at the same time very nervous, really hoping it all works out. In my first pregnancy we ended up losing our little girl, quite early on but devastating all the same. Trying to think positive though!

Home sorry I didn't see your post before I posted mine - welcome back, really hope your DS is on the mend now, how scary for you.

EddieIzzardIsMine · 17/06/2012 08:40

Something hang around as much as you want - hopefully this thread will move quickly into a pregnancy support thread rather than a conception one!
Gotta stick around anyway to watch Bazzle grow the octuplets! :)

Bazzle · 17/06/2012 08:42

Thanks Eddie! Wishing you lots of energy for the week ahead Grin

somethingwittynot · 17/06/2012 10:08

Yay bazzle come and join me and cheese on the feb thread!

posypoo · 17/06/2012 14:48

Inspired by Bazzle I impetuously bought a Boots test today and.................................. BFN! Oh well. I am 12dpo so think that prob means I'm out this month. I was feeling certain I was pregnant madwoman style fairly positive this month as well. 25% success rate on the thread is pretty damn good though so I'll be sticking around for some more shaggers anonymous next month!

Adayforthinking · 17/06/2012 15:48

CONGRATULATIONS bazzle!

Posypoo, af arrived here today so I'm out aswell this month. Oh well 2 months down, hopefully 3rd month lucky. Decided to give it 6 months and if it doesn't work by then, I'm going to suggest to Dh that we just stick with one dc.

I'm 38 this Friday and fast running out of time, plus I don't want a massive age gap.

A psychic told me that I would have dc2 when DD was between 3.5 and 4. DD has just turned 3 so we are still on track, just...

Good luck everyone.

X

Thanks also Something very glad to be joinging you in Feb. Think will also stick around here though - like this thread :)

Cocochops · 17/06/2012 19:10

Congrats bazzle this thread is lucky!

lastboxoftampons · 17/06/2012 19:24

Hello all - sorry I haven't been here in forever. DS has the pox and you know how life just gets in the way!

Congratulations something and bazzle well done to you both!

Feeling really really low this month :( First month using cbfm, had good amount of Ewcm which is rare for me, shagged like bunnies, timing great, ovulated...and started spotting like the day after :( Now 5dpo and still spotting. The only silver lining is that I had been to the GP last month and hey ordered tests for ths month, so my progesterone test taken on Friday HAS TO show a problem so hopefully we can look forward to some kind of treatment? :(

Anyway hate to be a downer! Hope you're all doing well and had a lovely father's day with your LO's and their daddies :)
