About to start TTC#2 - does anyone want to come along for the ride?

Hi there,

So, DD is going to be 3 in June and I'm going to be 38 two weeks later. About a year ago I wanted a 2nd DC but DH didn't. I then changed my mind at Xmas.

DH has now changed his mind and persuaded me so finally we're in agreement and ready to go.

CD1 is due this week and then we can start.

Is anyone else ready to TTC#2?

Thanks for the advice - think I will go for the sat then if I make it that far. Just thinking about testing brings on palpitations though! The problem with late testing is you really get tour hopes up Hmm

Em no excuses get on it tonight! Lol

something am getting lots of cramps too, and keep thinking AF is coming.

Bazzle when would about 14 days after your last octuplet egg be? That's a good time to test!

I think it will be two weeks on Friday so testing this Sat would make sense. Although i got the best signs (OV pain and more EWCM) on the Monday and Wednesday before.

So technically, based on my longest recored cycle of 38 day, AF should come by latest today which means i am starting to feel a bit hopeful. However my cycles have been a bit all over the shop this year so who know's?!

Has anyone used ovulation sticks? I've bought some (don't want to fork out for clear blue thing) but not sure whether to use this cycle as I'm trying to be relaxed about TTC this month! Also really not sure on cycle length so don't want to use them at the wrong time and get stressed about not ovulating!

Ps. What does AF and poas stand for (sorry being dim!)

I've not tried Ov sticks, but might in the future. As its your first cycle since DS I would wait this month to see how things go. This is my first real cycle since DD too, so I'm not quite sure if it will be 28 days (like they were before), or really long... will wait and see!

AF=period ("aunt flo" i assume!)
poas="pee on a stick" (i.e. testing)

could someone add me please as I'm on my phone cycle 3 CD 29 cycle length 28-31 days since DS AF SHOULD be 15th of june.

Right I have a question as my OV sticks said I oved between the 2-4th so giving myself 2 weeks that could be the 18th before I would even possibly get a positive but af is due on the 15th?! If this actually makes sense lol

Witty - if your ov later say 2-4 then chances are your af will late. The last bit of your cycle dosent normally change so of you ov two or three days late af should be late too.

I'd factor it in and test a little bit later? Says the person who tested at 8 dpo Blush!!

Something I agree with pickle but it soo hard waiting to test so I would prob end up doing an early test. If bfn try to ignore as could be too early to test! If that makes any sence! Good luck

Evening All! Bit confused tonight. Think my body is playing tricks on me. Pretty sure I still haven't ovulated yet but got a negative on the opk I did this afternoon (good possibilty i didn't do it right actually) and now my boobs are really sore! Going to DTD again anyway. Don't want to miss any opportunities! x

Jessi - I am the same trying to stay relaxed about TTC as it's the first month- bet I cave and buy something thermometer/ov sticks before the first cycle has finished though!

Well after a lot of 'is it in my head? Better not acknowledge it just in case' cramping for the last few days, twitchy painful boobs and a number of erotic dreams Confused I decided to poas at 11DPO.

Not surprisingly it was a BFN. I know that it's early to test but with DD I got a BFP at 10DPO, so I know I'm out this month. A bit gutted (although not massively because it's my birthday next week and I want to get drunk!), but more frustrated because it means we'll have to SWI again! Definitely reducing it down to every other night this month. The enthusiasm of having another child is definitely losing it's sparkle... I just keep thinking of how much better off we'll be this time next year once we're not paying out for any childcare and we could take DD to DisneyWorld for her 5th and my 40th birthdays which was always the plan until we decided on number 2...

Maybe I'm just down about the BFN Sad. Oh well, 3rd Month lucky hey?!

And maybe you could go on a 'special' 8th and 43rd birthday trip with 3 year old new addition?
