About to start TTC#2 - does anyone want to come along for the ride?

Hi there,

So, DD is going to be 3 in June and I'm going to be 38 two weeks later. About a year ago I wanted a 2nd DC but DH didn't. I then changed my mind at Xmas.

DH has now changed his mind and persuaded me so finally we're in agreement and ready to go.

CD1 is due this week and then we can start.

Is anyone else ready to TTC#2?

I think when it is positive a couple of times like that you may not have released the egg the last time and your body is having another pop?

Imagine triplets. I have the fear about twins! Paying for 3x nursery would mean it wouldn't be worth me working (Yay) but would probably mean financial destitution (booo)

All you can do is keep SWI. Poor Mr Bazzle and his sore bits!

What CD are you on today?

Bazzle · 01/06/2012 13:24

CD 27 - can't cope anymore, we have been doing every other day since CD10 and then even more since the positive OPK's. When will this ever end?!

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 01/06/2012 14:13

God who knows Bazzle

Hopefully your ovaries have not gone nuts this month and popped out 8 eggs or you could be the next Octomum.

Bazzle · 01/06/2012 14:21

Shock urgh that sounds horrendous - imagine what your tummy would look like after!

I think if it doesn't work this month then i might try temping as totally confused by my body right now. May also consider a trip to the doctor as it sounds a bit like what happens if you have PCOS.

Anyway off to London town shortly for a friends birthday, the little guy is going to nursery for a few hours so i can get an early start and be there for 5pm and join the after work drinks Grin

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 01/06/2012 14:42

I read that about PCOS might be worth checking if you are irregular. I know it hasnt worked for home but angus castus is supposed to be good for PCOS.

I got this picture of you now shooting babies everywhere like a little mogwai that got water on it!

Have a good one!

EddieIzzardIsMine · 01/06/2012 15:23

Laughing imagining Bazzle as the new Octomum! None of us would need to have any more then, you could just share them all out amongst us and save us all ttc!

I have stomach ache today, no idea if its ttc related but its hurting :(

I also have a drama queen DS, 6 teeth on the way means lack of sleep and hysterics over everything all day, fun!

Something Hows your little one doing?

Aday You feeling any better?

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 01/06/2012 15:27

Good point eddie one each!

Its Mr Bazzle I feel sorry for, he had a sore willy on Monday!

Re Stomach Ache, I looked it up on the internet and its common when 10 babies are implanting at once, you`ll be fine though soon.

EddieIzzardIsMine · 01/06/2012 17:25

It said it on the internet Pickle? Well then it must be true! 18 babies between me and Bazzle, we'd be able to give everyone on this thread one and sell the rest, make a fair profit!

Poor Mr Bazzle make we could fashion some kind of splint for him....

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 01/06/2012 18:21

He needs an aloe Vera dip, poor chap.

somethingwittynot · 01/06/2012 18:32

just had a call back looks like me and my little family are gunna be in a bbc3 documentary and there gunna be following our ttc journey

jessi0343 · 01/06/2012 19:23

somethingwittynot · 01/06/2012 19:45

yeah we start filming this weekend even though we will be at the hospital

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 01/06/2012 20:06

They should do Bazzle and her octuplets!

Are they still recruiting?

somethingwittynot · 01/06/2012 22:29

i have no idea how old your are but there looking for teenage/young couples

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 01/06/2012 22:41

Outrageous! I`ll have to wait until they do geriatrics.

somethingwittynot · 02/06/2012 06:57

haha! Grin DS is looking brighter should be home sometime next week!

EddieIzzardIsMine · 02/06/2012 09:32

Something thats good news

On day 24 here (possibly!) and still holding out from poas...

Hows everyone else doing?

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 02/06/2012 10:21

I'm in bed and can't seem to get up.

I think it's a sign..... That Im lazy.

I think about 5/6 dpo! Boobs gone crazy but been like it for over a week so I can't think anything of that either!

Any more Eddie? You've done well holding out!

Glad ds is better something!

cheeseandmushroomtoastie · 02/06/2012 10:37

pickle that was my first sign - like I was stuck to the bed.....

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 02/06/2012 10:45

Hi cheese how you feeling? Got to be honest though that's a feeling I get a lot!!! Boobs mental though, very jordanesque and sore but they have been like it a while!

Bazzle · 02/06/2012 20:41

Lol a Mogwai! Sounds easier than giving birth anyway. How much would you get for a baby do you think? Perhaps we could retire and buy a holiday home in Barbados Eddie.

Something really glad your DS is getting better :) exciting about the documentary too, do you know when it will air?

I was a dirty stop out last night Blush was meant to get the last train home but got coerced to go clubbing in Camden until 5 and slept on a friends sofa - was very fun and made me feel young again! Meant there was no more SWI though, just can't be arsed anymore i don't think. Not particularly hopeful for this month and if there is a baby being made in there i'm not sure the copious amounts of alcohol would of helped.

Does anyone give up drinking in the 2ww? I just don't think i can on the chance that i 'may' be getting pregnant. Bad?!

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 02/06/2012 21:11

Not bad, don't think baby shares your system for a few weeks has own sac. I test from ridiculously early as well so I'll know within 10 days or so! Crack on bazzle important to be relaxed.

Adayforthinking · 02/06/2012 21:52

Evening all,

Clearly my body was lulling me into a false sense of security last month when I ovd as expected on cd16. Cd17 now and still don't think I've ovd. I am waiting for my temp rise and hoping it will be there tomorrow, so at least I would have ovd only a day later...

Great news that your ds is getting better something and fab news on the documentary.

Hope everyone else is ok. On countdown now to DD's party. Party boxes are done and the pass-the-parcel and prizes are wrapped. Bought all the ingredients for the cakes and got the hired-help ropes in to help Dh put up her swing/slide birthday pressie - in the name of my dad and my brother...

It's all go! LOL

OP posts:
Bazzle · 02/06/2012 21:54

Ah thanks Pickle - that's good enough for me!

Bazzle · 02/06/2012 21:58

Evening Aday DD's party sounds fun, can i come?

I might have to ask you for some temping tips next month as i think i'll give it a bash. Sounds a bit hard work reading about it, do you need a special thermometer or is one of the ones you put in your ear ok?
