About to start TTC#2 - does anyone want to come along for the ride?

Hi there,

So, DD is going to be 3 in June and I'm going to be 38 two weeks later. About a year ago I wanted a 2nd DC but DH didn't. I then changed my mind at Xmas.

DH has now changed his mind and persuaded me so finally we're in agreement and ready to go.

CD1 is due this week and then we can start.

Is anyone else ready to TTC#2?

PickledFanjoCat · 24/05/2012 16:21

Brave girl!

somethingwittynot · 24/05/2012 18:06

am hoping DC2 will be like DS hes slept through from 5 weeks and never cries
always has a smile glued to his face! DC2 will probably scream 24/7!!

ive been waiting over an hour for these people to come and look at this pram dont think i will be bothering with ebay again!

lastboxoftampons · 24/05/2012 18:52

aday fx your job is safe. that must be so stressful. Are you going to stop ttc until you find out? Have they given you a timeline? Maybe if you're preoccupied with something else...:)

You're sweet for mentioning implantation and of course it's crossed my mind, especially since spotting seems to have disappeared, even when rummaged for Hmm but I just keep going back to the fact that when I was pregnant I had no spotting at all. So I don't think it looks good for me. But I do feel rather icky/nauseous/dizzy...nah, it's just the weather :)

something you are a brave girl! You're lucky your DS has such a sweet temperament. My DS was a very sweet baby, didn't cry much, etc but didn't like to sleep. Actually slept through from 8 weeks to about 12 weeks and then he was ill and it all went downhill!

Eddie I would keep shagging if I were you it sounds like you haven't ov'd yet. Are you temping or doing opk's or anything? It drives me batty if I don't know when I ov'd.

Kurly it's difficult to temp when you don't wake at the same time every day. I typically wake up around 7 and that's usually the earliest DS wakes, so I try for that. If he gets up earlier, I just temp immediately before going to him and then adjust my temp for the time difference. You'll find various temp adjusters on the Internet but you don't want to rely on it all the time because it's not as accurate. If it wouldn't disturb DS and DH too much, I would set my alarm for 6 or 7 every morning, temp and then go back to sleep. But in a small flat, one alarm wakes everyone up!

somethingwittynot · 24/05/2012 21:25

just sold the pram for 285 so made 135 on it. yeah im soooo lucky for some reason we dont seem to have growth spurts or sleep regression yet!

EddieIzzardIsMine · 25/05/2012 09:43

lastbox How are you doing? Any more AF signs yet or is she staying away? fx

No not temping or anything, DS can be awake anywhere between 6am and 8am (and we get up when he does) so wouldnt be that accurate, trying not to get into 'crazy lady' mode too see how long that lasts!

Just going by rough guessing based on dates and ewcm, did swi last night too though so we'll see how it goes...

something wow, at that age I was only just beginning to see through the 'sleep fog' long enough to brush my hair and put matching shoes on, let alone another baby, good on you!

cheeseandmushroomtoastie · 25/05/2012 12:51

Am having a really crappy day, and really want to test to complete the crapness today, or cheer me up. Must. Wait. Til. Monday. At.least.

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 25/05/2012 13:03

Ah sorry cheese what's up?

EddieIzzardIsMine · 25/05/2012 18:24

You ok cheese? Have you held out on testing?

cheeseandmushroomtoastie · 25/05/2012 19:06

Thanks for your concern guys, jut one of those days when everything goes wrong, and you have a trillion things to do! Just got back from tesco, and was going to buy a test, but stopped myself! On the basis that if I did one it would be negative but if I didn't then it would be pregnant Confused do you see my logic there?!

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 25/05/2012 19:29

Totally see what you mean! Right now you are potentially pregnant! Well done on the resolve though.

EddieIzzardIsMine · 25/05/2012 19:37

But if you are, you could know now!

Sorry, paitence despite being a virtue is not one of my strong points!

Hope you have a better evening chesse

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 25/05/2012 20:20

I have about 10 tests on my cupboard. No resolve for me!

somethingwittynot · 25/05/2012 22:42

went horse riding for the first time in over a year today! ow! Grin

cheeseandmushroomtoastie · 26/05/2012 09:53

Morning all, hope we're not sweating too much Grin

Good news - I have restrained myself from doing a pg test
Bad news - just started to those lower tummy aches/ throbs that means AF is imminent Sad

Heres to cycle 2!

somethingwittynot · 26/05/2012 10:20

im CD12 CD11 OPK was darker than CD10 OPK thats good right?!

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 26/05/2012 16:28

I get nothing on mine then boom! Positive.

somethingwittynot · 26/05/2012 18:59

well i had a faint 2nd line and then a darker one then a darker one today but not a positive yet

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 26/05/2012 20:01

Any news cheese ?

cheeseandmushroomtoastie · 27/05/2012 02:51

Nope not yet. Just got in from rather strange night out. Not even that drunk, as you can see Grin

Going to wait until Tuesday to test I think, as my cycle is so haywire....

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 27/05/2012 11:52

Weird! High egg alert on cbfm on cycle day 13! How can this be so, I don't normally ovulate until day 22 or 24. So confused!

cheeseandmushroomtoastie · 27/05/2012 14:07

pickle I would get busy SWI and then ponder what's going on..... I think the CBFM is one of the most accurate ovulation tests so would go with it? Has it been playing up otherwise eg batteries?

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 27/05/2012 15:10

I just double checked with an ovulation test and it's positive too! Odd cycles I am having! Me and dp have had a stinking great row today as well. I'm really cross with him but I'll see how I feel later might have to just get on with it and suspend hostilities. I've been taking extra b vitamins so it could be that? Better than waiting till cd25 like last month!

Any news still feeling crampy?

cheeseandmushroomtoastie · 27/05/2012 16:27

Check my profile pic. Squint. Opinions please?

cheeseandmushroomtoastie · 27/05/2012 16:30

Having looked at it for (cough) a while, I don't think it a positive.
