May this thread bring us luck and lots of support through the journey of life after the death of our little ones.

Hmm could try gp yes... unfortunately the lovely one that has been very supportive while ttc is now on maternity leave... don't know whether I can self refer to EPU...

we are also without a car at the moment, as DH failed his last driving instructor test and isn't allowed to teach anymore... :( so will have to do everything by public transport...( which now I think of it is probably cheaper than hospital parking Wink)

AngelGeorgie · 08/04/2012 21:02

Cheese so glad Ella is ok. Poor u..yes MIL is a one off!!! ( thank god) xxx
Shakey thanks. Defiantly better off without her. Enjoy your chocolate mmmm.... Good luck at WW... We re all at it aren t we??? Xx
Blizy Arh.... Love cats. We thought about getting another cat in March , originally when we lost our Scottie last June. Remember? But we ve still got Cleo (12 years old) & think it would be too much on Cleo now to get another cart. Also not fair in the new cat as I don t have time to spend with it but I LOVE cats & kittens. Enjoy xxx
Blue you could always ring your EPU & tell them you re bleeding or have cramps etc... I did this when pg with Georgie of course all was fine but they started me on hormone injections & I was scanned every 2 weeks. With Phebs my consultant told me to contact the EPU ASAP & I rung at 4 weeks ( yes!!!4 weeks!!! I knew at 21 days after lmp!!!) and they scanned me at 6 weeks primarily hoping to see a sac not expecting to see much more with a view to start hormone support. Incidentially she was there my Phebs like a grain of rice with a big strong heart beat. Good luck with whatever you decide xxx
Come on Fan xxx ??? BFP???? I got my period for the first time today ( well spotting as on mini pill) so I ll have mine so you don t get yours.Big FX for u xxxx
You ve got a LOT of restraint only eating chocolate once a week!!! Xxx
Hi all hope everyones ok? Having a nice break? Took Phebs swimming & not done much else. Weather here cold & wintery : crap.
Well last day of freedom tomorrow... Let's enjoy it. Off to get Phebs a new coat for nursery xxxxx

blizy · 08/04/2012 21:27

fan I have everything crossed for you!

No kitten yet, we have tried at some shelters but they don't have any. Sad We will resume the search the tomorrow. We have bought some cat supplies ready and waiting!

cheese I am glad all is well with Ella.x

CheeseandGherkins · 08/04/2012 22:45

blue some epus allow you to self refer. My gp did a referral for me when I was newly pregnant with Ella but I ended up having to call them myself, can't remember why now but I ended up crying on the phone to them when explaining why I wanted a scan. They were so lovely and fitted me in for one.

angel crap weather here, rain predicted for the rest of the week as well.

blizy hope you find one soon! Kittens are lovely :)

fan looking forward to seeing the result of your test in the morning! x

RueDeWakening · 09/04/2012 08:00

Fan fx fx fx

fanjodisfunction · 09/04/2012 08:18

Ok I did a test on a very cheap test and I think I can see a very faint line, DH is not sure so got out another test and ruined them both. So we have decided to wait till the end of the week when he gets paid to get a decent test.

OP posts:
AngelGeorgie · 09/04/2012 08:43

Fan xxxxx will reserve congrats until know for sure. Xxxx
Cheese tipping it down here. Don t mind as don t want lovely sunny weather when I m at work!!! Apart from 40 min walk home with Phebs!!!
Enjoying last lie in & day of freedom!!! Xx

blizy · 09/04/2012 08:58

Fan-eeeek! How will you manage the will power to wait until the end of the week??? Can you try a Superdrug test, they are meant to be good? Grin

Bluetinkerbell · 09/04/2012 09:30

oooh fan :) have you got ov-tests still? they do the trick too... I did a First response one on Sunday afternoon and had a faint but clearly visible line, than used the second one in the morning and very strong line... DH still was a bit doubtful, so bought 2 Clearblue Digital on Amazon for £7... as he wanted to see the word PREGNANT Grin

we are meant to have our church Easter Monday Fair today but chucking it down here too, so don't know what they are planning on doing... I am meant to be facepainting...

fanjodisfunction · 09/04/2012 09:36

I'm not sure I can wait but, I'm scared I may have another cp. The tests I have were one step three for a quid and well DH pulled them apart to see if they looked the same.

To be honest I am expecting AF to turn up now! I don't know. I might see if I can scrape some money together and get some tests. I will keep you posted.

OP posts:
Whatevertheweather · 09/04/2012 10:40

Argh haven't had any 3G signal on my phone while we've been away! On our way home now and just seen the last few posts. Fan sweetheart - am more than happy to pop down to yours when i get back with a truckload of tests of varying brands if you want me to! Genuinely xx

Gentle hugs, I know how scared/excited/anxious/worried/hopeful you must feel xxxx

Will catch up on everything else when I'm home. Although did I spy Blue Grin congratulations again lovely, we've missed you xx

fanjodisfunction · 09/04/2012 10:51

That's very kind of you wtw. Its my mums birthday and we are out for the rest of the day. I will see if I can buy some tomorrow.
I'm going to try and put it to the back of my mind today and try and enjoy the day with my mum.

OP posts:
spilttheteaagain · 09/04/2012 10:52

ooh fan so hoping it is a little line there! FWIW my first test with Freya was a so faint it's almost imaginary line, that was 10dpo on the day AF was due. I hope angel has your periods!!

cheese phew that Ella is ok, can imagine how scary that was. Friends of mine with refluxy babies found ranitidine much more effective than gaviscon, so see how she does but that may be worth asking a\bout if the gaviscon doesn't make much difference. Hope you feel better after her long sleep too.

blue !! Fab to see you back and congratulations! If all else fails and you want an early scan you can get them done privately. I had a private one at 10 weeks, cost £60. Sorry you feel sicky, tis bleurgh... All in a good cause though!

angel hope you have a lovely last day of ML, must feel very weird to be getting ready for work too. Sure they will be delighted to see you back.

blizy aaw kittens are adorable. Do you have a favourite type? I've a big soft spot for ginger & white, or black &white cats. Nothing makes you giggle like watching kittens play in their madcap slighty crazed moments!

All well here, Freya has started standing up last week! We were eating dinner watching TV whilst she was playing. Looked down to see she was standing up having pulled herself up using the bouncy chair and was just standing there by herself holding onto it looking very pleased!! Yesterday she was managing to stumble across the lounge pushing a little trolley, with DH hovering behind her all the way to catch! So cute. Nearly 8 months and she won't really eat mind, so I am needing to eat more and more to keep up with her milk/calorie demands now she's mobile. She just likes sucking/gumming juicy things like kiwis and cucumber and pineapple. Screams at a spoon. Ho hum. Extra dinner for me then.

Seen a house we like a lot and offered but have been outbid. Trying to decide if we can afford to offer anymore as it is top of the budget but also a rare opportunity - amazing garden and location that only come on the market every 3-4 years. Can only just afford this one because it needs updating. If itwas all perfect looking it would be another 50k and totally out of range. Doing our heads in trying to decide!!

AugustMoon · 09/04/2012 11:54

Happy belated Easter everyone. Been busy moving house, no Internet yet so on phone - been very stressful and emotional but settling in nicely in the new house now - pity about the crappy weather!
Spilt, will you end up regretting it massively if you don't put in another offer? And Grin at Freya standing up - amazing milestone.
Fan, I am really hoping this is it, keep calm and fx xxxx
Blue, welcome back and congratulations again in case you missed it in the last thread. So Smile for you! Hope the sickness passes soon for you x
Blizy, have you got your kitten?
Angel - omg you're back to work tomorrow already! Hope it all goes smoothly for you and that you and phebs settle into your new routines. X
Mias! Congratulations lovely, it must be v emotional, there's a long road ahead but I hope we can be of some support for you. It is wonderful news Smile
Cheese, poor little Ella - hope she's doing ok
Yeah, what happened to Mel??? She must be so nearly due. Hope all is ok x
Hi to everyone else, too, shakey, Elly, ruede and anyone I missed.
Oh btw I'm in Buckinghamshire, miles from anyone! We're all so far apart!

blizy · 09/04/2012 13:00

Yay yay, I get my little kitten this evening! He is very cute, a grey fluffy ball and 8 weeks old. GrinGrin

Hi August- glad you survived the house move!

spilt- Grin at Freya standing!

fanjodisfunction · 09/04/2012 15:14

Yayyyyy blizy what are you going to call him?

Ok DH has bough some clear blue tests, so may test tomorrow. I am cramping but all that is there is mucus, is this a good sign? My boobs don't hurt at all. Maybe nipples are a bit sensitive, when I fell pg with Fi they were unbearably heavy and tender.

OP posts:
fanjodisfunction · 09/04/2012 15:17

Actually there is only one in the pack! He's very annoyed that it cost him that much.

OP posts:
CheeseandGherkins · 09/04/2012 15:28

fan oooh that's so exciting! A faint line is still a line! My faint line is now asleep in her moses basket :o I found I cramped a fair bit and really thought af was coming but it never did. I used the first response tests, prefer them myself but have used most tests I think! Obsessive tester. When are you doing another one?

blue rubbish weather here also, all plans off

whatever hope you've had a good trip and that everything is going well :)

spilt she was also on domperidone before as well as the gaviscon and neither seemed to do much good, the vomitting stopped a few weeks ago but it seems to be a silent reflux now. How lovely that Freya is now standing! Sounds like she's really enjoying her food too :) Regarding the house, if you can manage it then I'd go for it, like you say it's a rare opportunity.

august did the house move go well? Ella is doing well now, no idea of the worry she caused hehe! I'm in Cambridge.

blizy he sounds adorable! We have a black cat, tabby and a fluffy grey one, all boys and lovely.

fanjodisfunction · 09/04/2012 15:34

cheese I will test in the morning I will use three tests I think, the remainder crap test, the clear blue and an ov test, I will do the crap test first then the ov and then the clear blue if the others look like there might be a line.

DH has said he didnt sleep last night because he was worried about the result of the test. Bless him hes so worried that it might be another cp, or that its just a late period. I so hope I am, a december baby would be amazing.

OP posts:
TooImmatureTurtleDoves · 09/04/2012 15:48

Oh Fan, oh Fan!!! You are being so calm! I really hope this is it for you, my love.

Blue, wonderful to see you back and congratulations! Grin

Blizy, the kitten sounds adorable. I'd love to have a kitten but my dog wouldn't.

Cheese, so glad Ella is okay. You must have been petrified. Scary stuff.

Spilt, yay for Freya standing/walking! She's so clever.

Right, got to go - dog is begging for a walk. It looks like it's going to pour with rain, sadly. Hopefully we can come up with something to keep Maia dry (she's going in the sling, not the pram). Last day of DH's pat leave. Neither of us are looking forward to tomorrow!

fanjodisfunction · 09/04/2012 15:53

too I have to be calm otherwise I would be a mess! I am flitting backwards and forwards on if I think I am or not.

blizy when is this kitten arriving, please put a pic up of it. I would love a kitten, but have my rats instead. My brother in law as got two kittens called Pippa and Potch. I wanted them to called them Dotty and Floss.

OP posts:
MiaAlexandrasmummy · 09/04/2012 16:01

fan you were one of my first thoughts this morning... like too also can't believe you are being so cool and calm about this!! (FWIW, my boobs still don't hurt in the slightest, although with Mia, I thought they were going to fall off with pain. But definitely feeling nauseous in the morning and late at night over the past few days.)

august I am at the top end of Bucks, probably somewhere between you and cheese

cheese so very, very glad Ella is ok and that you had good medical support. It did make me cry though, as then I started to wonder if Mia had had the same support as you did with Ella's breathing, even though it was a different problem, if things would have been different...

split your Freya is a clever little girl, isn't she?!? Hope you decide what to do about the house, it is so nerve-wracking.

blizy your kitten sounds very cute, even for non-cat person like me!!

whatever and blue how are things with your beans / bumps??

Whatevertheweather · 09/04/2012 16:06

Hello! Back home now after a rubbishy drive in the rain. Lovely relaxing time away, just what we all needed I think.

Blue sorry to hear you're feeling so sick - but a good sign too! I was terrible this time around so am also thinking boy as I didn't have any sickness with the girls. It did totally disappear at 12 weeks though. Thats rubbish not being referred for an early scan given your history. I called and arranged mine direct with the secretary of the consultant who delivered Erin. Rang epu and asked to be put through. Is that an option? So thrilled for you lovely, did you say you'd told Ella already? Was she over the moon? We've still not told K, am praying for a good 20 week scan and then we will. Hope dh is looking after you - sorry to hear about his driving instructing. What is he thinking he might do now? xx

Cheese oh goodness how scary that must have been. Poor Ella, and poor you. So pleased to here she's home again. Not had any experience with silent reflux - does that mean she gets all the acidy pain but no visible symptoms? Hope you've had a extra snuggly wet bank holiday today xx

Fan do you think you can hold off and use fmu tomorrow morning? Can't tell you how much I hope this is it for you. This time I got a definite negative on day AF was due but tested again 2 days later to a very clear positive so it is amazing what a difference a day or two can make. Keeping everything firmly crossed for you. Hope your mum has had a nice birthday xx

Oooh a kitten Blizy how wonderful! We had a grey kitten when I was young he was the most adorable little thing. Have always had a soft spot for grey cats. Do you have a name for him yet? Pictures when you have him please Smile

August glad the move went well and you're getting organised. Hope dh pulled his weight eventually?? and I hope you've not been trying to do everything yourself. Have you moved far?

Angel how you feeling about tomorrow? Its a big step but hopefully you'll all get in to the swing of it soon. Is it Phebs first day at nursery tomorrow? Also just saw your mil posts - my sympathies, she sounds a right peach!!

Split clever Freya starting to stand Smile Am sure she'll get the hang of the food thing soon - some babies take a lot of persuading off of milk. I love hearing Freya updates as it gives me a little window in to what Erin might have been like now. Can't believe it will soon be 8 months. As for the house....sounds like an opportunity worth stretching yourselves for to me xx

Miasmummy how are you feeling now lovely? It is so conflicting I know, we can just take it one day at time. Hope France was relaxing xx

Hi to Too Shakey Elly Rue hope I haven't missed anyone.

Mmm am intending on curling up in my comfies under a blanket once K in bed and eating Easter eggs while catching up with some trashy tv. Lovely Smile

fanjodisfunction · 09/04/2012 16:07

miasmum really still dont hurt? that is interesting. That does give me hope that it was a line this morning. Tomorrow with be CD31, with Fi I tested on CD34 and it was a definite dark line, I know every pregnancy is different but you cant help thinking that it will be exactly the same. I cant wait but I have to, I cant waste a test this afternoon, I need to wait till early morning urine. This is terrible though every half hour Im going for a wee and expecting AF to be there. I am peeing so much (another good sign)
