How you doing today Fan? Probably a stupid question. Thinking of you xx

fanjodisfunction · 21/04/2012 15:43

Im doing ok wtw Ive been a bit down this morning, but DH and I really practical and have said well at least we know we can get pregnant. We are doing some DIY today in the flat. Im not bleeding as much as I thought I would, last time was just like a period, this time its different. Its slower. I still dont feel pregnant so Im not thinking that maybe I still am but have had a heavy bleed. Ive been having cramps in my back also which isnt nice.

We made a promise to each other that we are going to be healthy (no drink for him) for the next three months, Im guessing that just like after childbirth I should be really fertile for the next three months, so we are going to try really hard.

We bought some lanterns today and we are going to light them on Ophelias birthday, probably at the time she was born and set them off to fly up. We have three, one for her, one for beanbag and one for bungle. I hope that letting go a bit on friday will help us with gettign pregnant again.

blizy · 21/04/2012 17:32

Fan- I'm glad you are doing ok. You and Dh have such a positive outlook, that is something to proud of. The lanterns sound lovely. You have been on my thoughts all day today. Xx

MiaAlexandrasmummy · 22/04/2012 10:30

fan just wanted to say that I am in awe of you and your DH. You seem to be so together as a couple. Your plans, and ability to look forward, and see the positives from this sad experience is truly humbling.

fanjodisfunction · 22/04/2012 11:03

I don't feel very together sometimes.

I'm having a rough day today, I'm cramping loads, I feel a bit lost. I am clinging to the promises DH and I have made. We have to get pregnant again in the next few months.

I hope everyone else is having a good day.

How's the pgs going blue and miasmum?

OP posts:
Bluetinkerbell · 22/04/2012 19:43

fan still thinking of you lots, you are one brave lady! hugs x

My nausea is tailing off, although I did throw up yesterday, feel very bloated and have lots of wind all the time Blush Nausea going is good but scary as well... Just so scared nothing is going to be there when I go for my scan....
I also suffer with really bad headaches... DH suggested I take some painkillers, but I just don't want to risk anything :(
10 weeks tomorrow... it feels like it is going so slow...

MiaAlexandrasmummy · 22/04/2012 21:48

fan hope the cramps calmed down today. Of course you won't feel strong and brave all the time. But the very fact that you have made plans to focus upon says so much about your character. xx

blue think I have been on the receiving end of your disappearing nausea. About four bouts a day, including a big one right now. Like you, just worried though.

TooImmatureTurtleDoves · 23/04/2012 08:37

Fan, thinking of you lots.

Hope the nausea calms down, Miasmum.

Blue, sorry to hear about the headaches. I know what you mean about painkillers - I refused to take anything just in case. When is your scan?

shakeyjake · 23/04/2012 08:42

fan you are such a brave lady. thinking of you

blue and miasmum hope the nausea passes soon. i never had sickness but had awful headaches and was only advised to take paracetamol which i never took. also was advised to drink more as could be dehydration.

fanjodisfunction · 23/04/2012 09:41

Sickness sucks doesn't it, blue and miasmum I really feel for the both of you running up to the scan week, it must feel like a life away. Have you been to your booking in appointment yet?

I got a letter from the midwife with an appointment date on it, gueess I shall have to ring and cancel.

OP posts:
Bluetinkerbell · 23/04/2012 09:48

I had my booking in appointment the same week I had my BFP... the midwife wanted to do it that soon so she could get me referred to the hospital rather sooner than later. Not that it made a big difference as they will still only see me at 12 weeks.
Scan is next week Thursday 3rd May...
Made an appointment with mw today though, as I've had a constant headache since yesterday morning. Seeing her at 11am.
Also anxiety is starting to build up, so will be good to talk to her about it... It's been 6 weeks since we found out and I'm slowly going crazy, I just need to know if everything is ok right now...

fanjodisfunction · 23/04/2012 09:48

wtw you got your scan this week?

OP posts:
fanjodisfunction · 23/04/2012 09:49

I know what you mean blue the waiting is the worst.

OP posts:
Bluetinkerbell · 23/04/2012 12:09

boo :( nothing the mw could do to help... blood pressure and urine were fine. She did mention my lips looked a bit dry and need to increase my fluid intake... I know that... went to buy some flavoured waters as I had enough of plain water or squash to drink...
She asked how far along I was now and I said well 10 weeks, so she said only 10 weeks it seems ages ago since I last saw you... I know! She said this is going to be the longest pregnancy ever!

Bluetinkerbell · 23/04/2012 12:10

she also said I could take paracetamol, but she'd understand if I didn't want to. And I might need to get my eyes checked. If headaches persist, need to see GP...

When coming home DH looked up taking paracetamol when pregnant on NHS and it says it is usually ok to take after seeing GP or midwife... but there is no clear evidence whether it can be harmful or not... well that's a no then :(

fanjodisfunction · 23/04/2012 12:27

blue I found drinking out of a straw to help with my fliud intake, taking little bits was better for my sickness too. DH got me a large cup with a straw coming out of the lid, and knowing I had to drink more than two a day really helped.

OP posts:
Bluetinkerbell · 23/04/2012 12:32

how are you feeling today fan ? have you been checked over by anyone yet?

fanjodisfunction · 23/04/2012 12:37

blue I'm ok, I havnt been checked over doctor didn't say anything about that, only if I was bleeding a lot or in pain will they see you. Ans as I'm not I get left by myself.

Hi ladies, busy few days here. My gorgeous cousins wedding yesterday. Was a lovely day but tinged with sadness for us thinking how Erin should have been there.

Fan how are you feeling lovely? You sound so strong, brave and positive. Am totally in awe of you xxx

Blue sorry to hear you're feeling so yucky. Lemonade ice lollies were my saviour in the first 12 weeks. 10 weeks already though - hopefully you will start feeling better soon.

How is everyone else doing?

You're right Fan my scan is on Wednesday - am really quite scared/nervous now that they will find something wrong. Fx all is well though and we can find out if girl or boy! xx

fanjodisfunction · 23/04/2012 17:47

wtw Im doing ok, we are keeping busy sorting out some storage in the flat. DH has his DIY hat on and building shelves, never knew he was that handy!
It does feel strange not to be pregnant anymore, even though it was only for a week or so. I am more determined than ever to lose more weight, I dont think Ive put any on for the past two weeks, I cant really go back to Slimming world, and to be honest Im so determined to lose weight I dont think I need it anymore. I beleive losing weight helped me get pg, so losing more is only going to help this time round and hopefully this time the little one will stick. Ive also heard that losing weight can reduce the size of fibroids, so thats got to help with the baby making to.
I cant wait to hear your news this week, Im sure K is getting excited. Has she said if she wants a sister or a brother? How are the names coming along?
Last week (when I was pg) I started thinking of names and I was a bit fixated on the name Rex.

Fan glad to hear you re keeping positive & upbeat.xxx
Whatever eek!!! Good luck Wed xxx
Hi all hope you re all well? Busy here : I ve managed to find a way to reduce my hours at work so from the 21 St May I m part time!! ( never ever been part time before!!) working 4 days a week , longer days so loosing 5.5 hours per week. Still will cost me about £300 a month but can just about manage , we think. I m putting my pension on hold, borrowing some money of my mum to clear my loan , got rid if non- essentials like cat insurance, charity contributions etc... Plus told Ant he's got to contribute towards the cost of nursery ( at the moment I pay the mortgage & nursery fees he pays the bills, petrol & food etc...) so all being well I ll have a decent whack left after my bills , mortgage & nursery fees to do stuff & enjoy life too!!!
Can t wait. Phebs has been shattered after being at nursery all the time so it ll be fab to have an extra day off with her to shop, chill, whatever ...
Ant started his new job last Thurs and he loves it. The first thong his new boss asked him: was what hours he wanted to do to fit round Phebs. How lovely is that??? So wr all leave the house together , he drips me at work, Phebs at nursery & starts himself at 08:30. When I m doing my longer hours ( cushy 08:00-16:30) I ll meet him at the nursery at 5 & we ll all be home at 5:15. Yeh!!!
At the moment I m walking Phebs home from nursery which is 2 miles takes about 40 mins. That s ok when , like tomorrow, I m doing 8-1 but when I finish at 4 ( Thursday & Fridays) at the moment wr re not getting in to 5:45 after she's been out since 07:20. No wonder she's knackered!!!
Busy weekend; we put her cot bed up rest in her room!! The new mattress is airing but she's going in soon!!! Eek!!! My little baby is growing too quickly!!
We ve had the day off today as she s full of cold so all being well back in tomorrow.
Finally , whoop whoop tonight I ve lost another 2 lbs. ... That's a stone off in 6 weeks. This is going so well so hopefully the next stone will come off in the next 6 weeks!!GrinGrinGrin
Must go need to get to bed.love to all xxxxxx especially Fan , Blue,Whatever & anyone else who's having a crap time ... Miasmum xxxx

AngelGeorgie · 23/04/2012 23:01

Excuse spelling mistakes!!! Crappy I phone... Bloody useless!!! ( at everything
, particularly making phone calls) !!!!
When I said Ant " drips" me at work meant to be drops!!! & other various spelling errors!!!!

fanjodisfunction · 24/04/2012 14:06

angel well done on the weight loss that is really good. And good news on the hours change, more time with phoebe is always a good thing.

OP posts:
shakeyjake · 24/04/2012 14:49

hi all

good new angel regarding your hours and that dh likes his job, his boss seems nice to take phebs into account with his hours. and wow to the weight loss, i have my first weigh in tommorow.

rose had her first injections today :-( she was also weighed and is now a lovely 9lbs, dr wants her weight monitering though as she is a bit sicky after her feeds and wants to make sure she keeps gaining. also i have to take her for a scan on her hips next week as she was breech

fanjodisfunction · 24/04/2012 18:47

Angel and Shakey its so nice to hear about Rose and Phoebe. So glad they are doing so well.

Been trying to arrange what to do on Ophelias birthday as she was born at 2.57am on the 27th, we did discuss letting up three lanterns. But not sure when we can as Fi's place is kind of remote. DH just said lets see what happens. Oh well have to leave it I think, wait untill the thursday and see what the weather is doing.

I think the misacarriage is nearly over, I stopped cramping this morning. I really hope so. This was so different to the chemical pregnancy, lots more cramping and tissue. Back on the old slimming world but trying to do it myself. Think I might get some scales this weekend, so I can do a weekly weigh in. Im hoping to lose another stone in the next month, that would be amazing. If I keep it up I can be a yummy mummy when I do fall pg again.

wtw you all ready for tomorrow? What time you got to be at QA? Be thinking of you tomorrow.

blizy hows Alfie boy? has he been keeping you busy?

miasmums hows the sickness? Are you able to get fluids down? I found sucking on a mint or a boiled sweet to help sickness issues aswell.

blue how are you feeling now?
