FriendofDorothy · 30/03/2012 15:23

:) bugs nice overshare!
Well I'm out! Took ages to get my drugs but I've been collected. MSB just in co-op then heading home! Being outside is exhausting.

OP posts:
eurochick · 30/03/2012 18:42

Yay!

(Nice overshare, Bugs. If we ever do a meet with partners I am sure we will all be struggling to keep our eyes on his face!)

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 30/03/2012 21:09

I'm home. I'm in my own bed. Lush.

Northey · 30/03/2012 21:43

I'm shocked at bugs's revelation. Shocked, I tell you. And also very amused.

Well done for getting home at last, fee.

FriendofDorothy · 30/03/2012 22:45

Oh dear God if you want TMI you have to go and read this thread.

I haven't laughed so much in ages!

Northey · 31/03/2012 06:24

Oh my God, some of those! I love poo stories. How are we all doing today?

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 31/03/2012 10:06

Mmm I'm still in bed and I make no apologies for that! had some breakfast to line my stomach for all my pills. I only woke once needing painkillers - considering how much activity I did yesterday afternoon that's not bad!
Very lazy day planned. MSB is at work til 12. I will aim to be washed and dressed by then! I think we'll drive over to the house to see the progress - the painting has started so it's really stating to come together!

Lunchtime test on CD9. Negative, naturally.

FriendofDorothy · 31/03/2012 12:58

I have been very productive today and have continued helping Mum clear the loft out.

Going go have a quick lunch, visit the gym and have my eyebrows threaded.

That poo thread has kept me chucking for hours.

So what do you reckon the chances of me being pregnant are according to this chart The shag dictator still hasn't picked up an egg yet but Futility Fiend seems to think I laid one on CD14.

Northey · 31/03/2012 14:15

I'm not a chart expert, but if it is the march 11 one then it definitely looks worth optimism!

FriendofDorothy · 31/03/2012 15:34

Yep... well we will see and hope and hope...

Has anyone read this article in The Guardian. Well worth a read and sums up my life totally at the moment!

Northey · 31/03/2012 16:35

God, that gets me right in the womb. Am feeling completely low at the moment and like it is just never going to happen for me. Though at least I'm not 46 like the lady in the article, I suppose (small comfort).

CaveMum · 31/03/2012 17:01

Wow, that article has set me off. Lots of tears here Sad

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 31/03/2012 17:05

dor that chart does looking encouraging, especially with the dip on cd5 then a temp increase. Just need to bide your time then see how the temp pattern goes. I had to abandon my charting this cycle, had a fever for 10 days!
I'm very sleepy, went out for 40 minutes, slept for 3 hours! :)

Just no-one read the MN thread about it. Some lovely sensible compassionate people on it, but some snidey bitches too.

FriendofDorothy · 31/03/2012 17:21

Sorry Cavey and Northey, didn't mean to make you cry.

The MN thread about it is going to get nasty I think.

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 31/03/2012 17:56

There's some pretty bitchy attitudes about infertility on MN, like that woman snidely implying we cry in the aisle in the supermarket actually I've done that! Given how fragile I am, I'll avoid that Fred.

OP posts:
KatAndKit · 31/03/2012 18:00

I think the article is mostly the author and her grief at her situation. I know only too well that grief, whatever it is caused by, can make a person feel extremely angry. So I think bitching is uncalled for even though i don't agree with everything she wrote. But I do understand her sadness and can understand her feelings about it. And I think some of the comments on the Guardian website aren't very nice either or are a bit stupid. Mostly ones that assume that you can just adopt a baby as if you were choosing something out of the Argos catalogue.

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 31/03/2012 18:37

I've just had chance to read it. It's very interesting. I empathise with the author to a certain extent....it's tricky isn't it? I understand how she feels, although it's not the end of the road for us, so it is different. I do hear some people whine and think they don't know how fortunate they are, but not just about having children. I have one fb friend - we were best buds in 6th form but had a big fall out at the the end of college. We got back in touch a while later but never as close. I'm on the verge of hiding her because she just complains all the time like 'Why is life so hard? Why me?'. Yet she has a good job, she got married a few weeks ago - you'd think she'd be happy right? At least at times? So perhaps it's not so much about one issue like parenthood, but simply ingratitude.
Life has been no picnic for me in the last few years, I confess I had a few tears of self-pity in the hospital - mostly when they couldn't work out what was wrong with me! - but I'm still grateful for what I do have - MSB, my family, friends who care. However bad the house situation is, there are positives coming out of it. I'm not saying I'm perfect at it, far from it, but I think we have to try to see the positives! And surround ourselves with people who help, not hinder that.

Well I've either killed Fred with that or you're all out having a life while I vary my location between the sofa and bed
