ari yes mine are shorter and lighter, not to the point of concern but definitely not what they were.

good luck bellyd today hope that line is much stronger for you!

Raining cats and dogs here today! DH taken DS to Grandma's so have time to self. Why is it that when you suddenly have some time to get something done you don't seem to be able to get motivated? and end up sitting down drinking tv and on MN!

BellyD · 04/03/2012 11:37

Morning. Def no line today so am waiting for AF to arrive. Think I managed most of my disappointment on Friday and am weirdly glad to be coming off the drugs for a couple of weeks. I don't know what I was more terrified of, getting pregnant and potentially having to go through another mc or getting a bfn. Thanks for all the positive vibes. Think I have updated the list - have added a couple of days to everyone's dates and moved myself.

Sue so glad your line got darker, am keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Wishing you loads of luck for next time. x

Arianrhod · 04/03/2012 11:55

lemon I just realised I didn't answer your question about the folic acid. I take the methylated form instead as those of us who are homozygous for this mutation cannot metabolise synthetic folic acid, so taking that would be no use to my body no matter how much I take. In those without thiis gene mutation their bodies convert synthetic folic acid into the methylated form which then gets used by the body. Those of us who are homozygous for the MTHFR mutation cannot do this (or very little anyway); those who are heterozygous can metabolise folic acid to a degree because they have one working copy of the gene, but not as well obviously as those who have both copies of the gene working properly.

Unfortunately as with so many medical things the UK is quite a way behind the US on this one and most GPs don't know anything about this. It's not available as prescription here but you can buy it OTC.

Hope I've not bored everyone with this! If you want any more info lemon just shout - I can bore for Britain on this particular topic :)

/waves to everyone

bellyd so sorry to hear about your chemical. They are so upsetting as your hopes are dashed so fast. At least you can try again without having a break.

I am also a bit concerned I might be about to go through another chemical as did another test today and the line is slightly lighter than fri. I would have thought the line should have got a lot darker so I am not holding my breath! I am still going in for intrallipids on tues but it's prob a waste of time.

battery I am hoping I will be a slow grower like you. Did your preg test lines get darker or stay the same?

digitalgirl · 04/03/2012 19:54

bellyd so sorry it turned out to be a cp Sad.

sue keeping my fingers crossed for you. Are you comparing the two sticks together because the test darkens over time so the Friday test will be a lot darker than the Sunday test would be after just having taken it. I hope it's just a slow grower too.

pq how're you doing?

battery wow! Off the cyclogest - you really are progressing through the second trimester.

free have you booked your 20 week scan with the FMC yet? Says 16th March but can't remember if that was your hospital date.

All's well here. Pelvis bit fragile in the morning but usually rights itself over the day. Feet are quite puffy now, swelling isn't really going down overnight anymore so we'll see what happens at my 34 week check on Tuesday. Feeling very very pregnant now Smile

Eek, less than 5 days till stogan's induction. Unless babystogie decides to come earlier!

igggi · 04/03/2012 20:14

Sorry Belly, hope you have some time to be kind to yourself Sad

willitbe · 04/03/2012 20:26

choccypud - love the joke, so real!!!

Dunnit - great scan

Igggi - glad that all checked out ok, it is important to get reassured everytime worries arise, happy that it was good for you.

belly - sorry to hear it was a cp.

sue - the lines have been getting darker, one lighter one means you drank more yesterday probably,,,, try not to worry.

stogan - wow so soon to the induction, hope you are enjoying the last few days of pregnancy. And as for your down there question, I would echo what has already been said here about the warm water to sooth any sore bits while weeing, and try to make sure that you don't get consitpated in the next few days.

free - hope you coped with all the baby talk with your friends.

battery - well done on getting to stop the progesterone (horrible stuff it is!)

digital - hope the "I definitely feel pregnant now" is ok, and that you are not having the end of pregnancy stresses too much yet. Do watch out for the swelling, get checked sooner if you need to.

I got positive opk and ovulated yesterday(temp rise this morning), so I am now thinking of starting the pred on Tuesday, does that sound ok? I also have to decide if I am going to start progesterone and heparin at the same time. I am reluctant to do the progesterone, as I have never had low progesterone levels when measured and I don't think it is problem for me. On top of that it delays af and delays m/c when they occur. So I think I am going to skip taking the progesterone. As for the heperin, I am thinking I will avoid it till bfp, consultant wants me to take it from ov, but I am not sure why. What would you do?

Hope everyone else is good.

mercator · 05/03/2012 09:47

Morning Ladies

Sorry to hear your news Belly

I've got a chaotic work week but I wanted to send best wishes to Stogan for Friday! Let's hope its a quick labour and how exciting you'll get to meet your little baby very soon! Enjoy - its such a special time. Hope you and OH can find some time to have a nice dinner/lunch before then.

Also Battery hope all goes well this week with the Amnio. You lucky thing no more Progesterone! I'm looking fwd to getting off them.

I've my Nuchal (12 wk) scan on Thursday so hope all is well there. Also a little more nervous of results of nuchal as I'm now 4 years older than my previous pregnancy.

Free - I'm not into the goo goo gaga baby talk even now. I'm not that way inclined. I remember going to a music group after returning to work and thought if anyone could see me from work singing 'eating bananas/drinking bananas' they'd think I was nuts - was a different world! ;)

Hope everyone has a good week!

mercator · 05/03/2012 09:49

Ladies - just one other thing. This pdf document I mentioned which is about 13 pages was mailed to me. I'd like to link it but I would have to hold it somewhere on the internet - any ideas?

Stogan · 05/03/2012 09:57

Just a quick dip in to say thank u all do much for ur lovely comments and wishes. Baby stogan is still refusing to come out and I'm worried it's changed position eeekk ! Off to my final (hopefully) MW appt now, still don't think it's all hit me ?!Sad

freelancegirl · 05/03/2012 10:01

Singing 'eating bananas/drinking bananas' merc? Sounds a riot Grin

I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised that my friend only seems to have lost her wit and personality on facebook and in RL she is the same as she ever was. The baby - 8m girl - is the quietest baby I have ever met. She never wakes up in the night either. Of course they think it is all down to their great parenting but I think they have just been lucky. She's very sweet though and we had a really nice time. She goes to bed at 6pm and doesn't rise again for 12-13 hours!

Sorry to hear it was probably a chemical Belly. That must be very frustrating and upsetting. I guess it is one of the banes of all of us having to test early and be on the ball to take our medication. These things must happen all the time to people who don't test early and just think they have a late period.

Sue try not to keep testing, am pretty sure the darkness of the line is really not an exact science. If anyone saw the line I had with this pregnancy (I've sent it to PQ and others I think) they would hardly have noticed it.

Willitbe that sounds good to me in terms of starting the Pred. Mr S did tell me that the Progesterone is not just about potentially warding off low levels but it is also an immune modulator. Personally I would still take it.

Well done for coming off the Progesterone too Battery. Things like this are a milestone. I am sure it will all go ok with the amnio.

Digi* woo! Can't wait to hear all about the 34 week scan after tomorrow. Good luck and come and tell us all about it. Yes I am actually booked at FMC for the 9th March - this coming Friday - so I will adjust the dates on the list in a bit. Can't believe I am (all going well) 20 weeks tomorrow. I have felt a lot of thumping around sometimes down there so I am hoping that is reassuring.

Coconut yes I did see a few houses on Saturday morning and none of them were good for us. I too was feeling a bit low about it all and so was DH as we drove away. There just seems to be nothing out there! We are viewing a 3 bed flat later and it is a group viewing, which I hate. I mean, we are ok to stay here for a few months if we have to but having moved a lot of stuff from our other flat to here we are packed out to the rafters so would have to put a lot of stuff into storage. And it would just be nice to be somewhere new and in a good location. For location purposes we are definitely going to have to compromise on type of property, which we are happy to do, but again they just don't seem to be out there!

Hope everyone else is ok. I have a lot of work to do today including a radio slot and also an article that I am fast approaching deadline for - so best get on with it.

batteryhen · 05/03/2012 10:01

belly - Sorry it looks like it's not your month :(
sues My lines did get darker in the end - however, after the initial ones at just over 4 weeks I didn't do one again until about 7 weeks as I was having my hcg done and also I was driving my self mad comparing lines etc. free said she did one and no more - so I think I did 3 (ish) then left it for fear of going round the bend.
will I took progesterone and clexane from bfp. In my previous pregnancies I was told to take them from my first scan - when I told MR S this he visibly winced and said I must take them from bfp next time which I did. I was also put on double aspirin by St Marys.
digi I know - time seems to be racing by - I am glad to have stopped to progesterone especially I was on 800mg so that is a relief!

I hope everyone is ok - stogan are you very excited? :)

freelancegirl · 05/03/2012 10:09

Am changing my scan date. Have also moved Brownie up the list as I swear she was at least 6-7 weeks ahead of me and should be in the third trim by now. I am not sure how her dates have fallen off but if anyone has time to go back to an earlier list and work out what she would be now that would be great!

Thanks for all your advice. I have run out of tests anyway so I wont be doing any more! I think you can drive yourself mad testing all the time but it does give you some reassurance if it comes back darker. I am hoping that the intrallipids will help tomorrow but not holding my breath! I am sure all you preg ladies had the same paranoid feelings but I think I am convinced I will have another chemical (sorry for going on and on). I didnt think I would be like this but I am so worried that my eggs are rubbish now - prob as my 40th is in 4 weeks!

Free I know you went longhaul when you were pregnant - did you have to take any extra precautions? We are going away for my birthday so I want to make sure I am doing all the right things.
I wouldnt worry too much about moving before the baby comes. If anything I would advise to wait until afterwards as you will be tempted to start packing/unpacking boxes. We moved 4 weeks before DD was born and I was moving large boxes when DH was at work. It was so stressful and I felt bad that I couldnt help with much when DH was around. He went mad when he realised what I had been doing! I couldnt just sit there looking at everything as it was driving me mad - probably the nesting bug! The baby will be in your room for a while anyway so you dont need that much extra space at the beginning. I know it would be nice to have a fresh start etc but you will be stressing more than a 'normal' pregnancy anyway as you have had a long journey to get where you are. I have had so many friends panic move when pregnant and then regret it a couple of years later as they didnt research the ofsted reports on the local schools but wanted a bigger house. They cant afford to move now so are stuck where they are and going to church every week so that they can hopefully get their kids into a church school rather than the crappy local catchment school. Its crazy what you do for your kids!

Battery I bet you are glad you are off the progesterone - I cant wait until I get to that stage (if it happens). Good luck with the amnio. One of my friends who is pregnant had a specialist scan with a foetal expert at the local hospital rather than risk an amnio. Her odds were not good at the nuchal scan so they were offered this instead. Could you ask for that as there is no risk of miscarriage with it? I have never heard of it before.

Willitbe I started the preds at 1DPO as wanted to wait until I had ovulated. At least then once you get to the end of the 2ww you dont need to have too long a break before testing. I also took the progesterone from around 5dpo this time and was taking selenium before and after OV - mainly after reading Free took it! Seems to have worked with the BFP.

I am still surprised that my acupuncturist knew I was preg before I did - amazing they can tell. I would have only been 7DPO when he knew so a few days before a test would show up. I am sure having acupuncture has helped my womb lining and help get my BFP this time.

Scooter I am having intrallipids tomorrow so it is still part of the treatment for V high killer cells. Prob too late notice now but I could meet you for a coffee afterwards if you are free? I have my appointment at 10.45am.

Ari mine have gone from around 7 days to 5 on the Pred, so that is quite a welcome change! They are still heavy though and my lining has always been around 8-9mm when scanned close to ov.

Good luck stogan!

belly sorry to hear about your BFN. I got one too this morning, so I have stopped the progesterone and am just waiting for AF to arrive now. That's cycle 16 done. On to IVF. Meh.

free I am glad to hear about the thumping! Re: the househunting, remember that you only need to find one that is right for you.

Dunnitt · 05/03/2012 11:17

SueMays Great to see you in the 1st trimester section. Really hope you stay there for as long as you should! Keep us posted.

Freelance To answer your question, I am on both Prontogest injections and Cyclogest. Cyclogest once a day up the back passage. I found that was far better than front passage as I don't even notice they are there, no leakage smeel or anything. The injections are taking their toll though. Had to do some in the thigh as sking getting too hard in the buttock area but they absolutely cripple me in the thigh. Is unbearable

Stogan Hillarious.

OK, am still thinking about Brownie and had a look through one of our old lists. Gosh it is strange to see how things have moved on since then. I was just 4 weeks on this list.

Brownie was 11.3 weeks on Monday 21st November, which I think was 16 weeks ago. So that should make her 27.3 I think. Hope she's ok and just truddling along in pregnancy that bit happier and not needing support!

Arianrhod · 05/03/2012 13:04

holl sorry for your upset but hopefully come Friday you'll see more. Remember it's still very early days and I know several people who haven't seen a heartbeat at 7 weeks, but a week later it's there. FC you're one of those!

Thanks to everyone who replied about their AFs getting shorter and/or lighter. I think I'll see what my acupuncturist says when I see her on Wednesday, I'm a bit concerned about having gone from 4 - 5 days of quite a bit of bleeding to 2 days with not much. I went back through my records and definitely this is unusual for me. Both AFs since the early miscarriage/chemical pg in Jan have been like this, so I do think something isn't quite right.

/waves to everyone, hope you're all enjoying some sunny weather (and not the sleet/rain that I've heard forecast for some parts of the country!).

Holi - sorry, I crossed posts with you earlier. I second what ari has said - you hear plenty of people seeing just a sac at this stage. I know how worrying it can be and really hope that you see something more when you go back on Friday. Come here and feel free to freak out and let us do some virtual hand holding!
