TTC on the frontier of polite society . Shoot outs compulsory.

New joiners will be welcomed after completing the Beshtionnaire and showing us their blazing saddle.

Howdy lemon! It's usually hard for me to post from work too, so I tend to be a bit slow on the uptake, but welcome. My summary cv: 34, been ttc seriously for 14 months, MC July 2010, nothing further to date. Results of my day 21 and JJ's jizz test are still pending am starting to suspect the fuckers of losing them. I have a hoss called Kevin, who is MY hoss,

Northey · 08/03/2012 08:19

A cowboy in a ra-ra skirt. Very... diverse.

Oh I realised I haven't done my official intro...I'm phee, 30, ttc for about 26 cycles. One definite, one maybe chemical pregnancies but that's all. In the somewhat unusual position of finding a reversible cause for infertility MSB's hormones weren't right and now he's being treated have seen a huge different in his energy and enthusiasm iykwim. He's been on treatment since December and if it takes 70 days to generate swimmers we should be back to normal stats of an 80% chance of conceiving within a year by now....I do of course have the traditional ttc badges of honour of having the fanny cam and Hsg to check out my ovaries and plumbing. You know, just writing that makes me feel weary.
Yee-haw! I challenge y'all to ride a buckin' bronco!

jewelsandbinoculars · 08/03/2012 08:35

Oh, and count me in the insomnia club, too. Woke up at 2.30, took ages to get back off, and then had an imaginary implantation bleed in my half-sleep.

Obv had to have a good ol rummage when I woke up, just in case. (Would properly have upset that woman on the gl/doom fred...!)

I used to be a normal person capable of understanding that subconscious manifestations of anxieties are NOT actually psychic messages from the future.

Northey · 08/03/2012 08:38

I don't think I did either. I'm Northey, 34 next month, intensively ttc since Jan 2010, but I hadn't used any contraception for about five years before that. I have PCOS so am on metformin (which my body no longer responds to in any way at all, so I don't know why I bother...), had my ovaries drilled last year, followed by a pregnancy that turned out to be ectopic. Since then I've just been sechsing fruitlessly and occasionally googling cowboy cliches.

Manly ra-ra skirts Norf, made of leather n' stuff Wink

CaveMum · 08/03/2012 09:46

Oops, epic cross-posts!

I am CaveMum, 30 years old. TTC#1 since coming off the Pill in May 2010, but due to PCOS only 3 natural cycles in 16 months before being prescribed Clomid. Currently on Cycle 4 of Clomid, 2 more to go before they refer me on for IVF. HWHNN (my husband) has no issues, but we live apart during the week due to his job - hence all the fafging about getting him to drive home for sechsing.

FriendofDorothy · 08/03/2012 12:44

Gah. My colleague has just announced that at the grand old age of 42 (just 6 years older than me) she is going to become a grandmother as her 22 year old daughter is pregnant. How fucking annoying is that?

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 08/03/2012 13:05

It's lunchtime cowboys, gather round the fire while we do a hog-roast (are there any veggies here, well you can't be it is a cowbboy fred)! I had to go to some meeting this morning, which you really can do one-armed. Sadly...

What is the correct droidal response? A manly pat? A good kicking? In either case, I am doing it now, to yours euro. Sorry about its arrival and the imminence of IVF and I am with you with the LALALA. I am expecting mine round about the 18-20th, which means starting IUI Shock and fits nicely after my check-the-broken-bone is fixed appointment on the 16th. I really am getting my moneys worth at the moment...

Cave 3 cycles in 16 months!?!? That is CRAP. I'd get about 20 in that time (not that it has done me a lot of good, but one can help but hope when every result looks excellent). And pg-announcements of any kind suck, but that is a stand-out awful one dot. I am patting all round, manly obviously. And pouring pints of G&T to go with the organic boar.

Congrats on the nephew jewels I hope he is lovely. Although I found the double-whammy overtaking of my sisters'diffedness difficult, I love the products. They really are adorable. And as I am really close to them, they are also a little bit mine. (And that is as close as I am getting for now, so I enjoy it to the max). Hope you have a similar approach and don't feel too cheated...

I am just really scared of your Paul, Fee. And my diet will actually involve eating what I like but adding some exercise in the mix. Which I love but can't at the mo. I ran towards the bus stop this morning and it did NOT hurt, so maybe I can start soon-ish. With a sling, that is fetching Wink

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 08/03/2012 13:08

Btw who are repeat BESHes? Are you trying to win your first too, norf? And is bugs aiming for a second win? I will manage to remember eventually!

FriendofDorothy · 08/03/2012 13:11

I hope you are keeping a spreadsheet?

Did I do my bio by the way? I mean the real one, and not the make-believe one that I am actually Angelina Jolie and therefore have a gazillion multi-coloured kids and I am shagging Brad.

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 08/03/2012 13:24

A spreadsheet - great idea!

Nice to meet you angie! I am glad you made the most of the "just adopt" advice that some people feel the need to throw at BESHes. How is Brad in Bed?

PhoenixFromTheFlames · 08/03/2012 13:31

Are there are current BESH ttc#2? boo is, but she has taken to lurking of late
I iz ttc#1 anyways.
I've started spotting, cd25! this cycle has not pregnant written all over it. So I'm drowning my sorrows in Haribo Tangfastics. Will push myself to exercise later since that should help....

Northey · 08/03/2012 13:31

I think most of us here at the moment are first timers. Madame Boo was going for a second, but is having a break from posting, I think.

Lunchtime shag done! A kind of mittagsechsen, if you will.

FriendofDorothy · 08/03/2012 13:35

I would like to say Brad is marvellous in bed, but he keeps his socks on during sechs. It's like shagging a nursing home resident.

PhoenixFromTheFlames · 08/03/2012 13:37

Plus there's the stubble rash ishoos these days I'd imagine...

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 08/03/2012 13:51

I simply could not do a man with socks on in bed. Not even Brad. Respect dot!!

Northey · 08/03/2012 13:54

I get very cold feet in bed and occasionally beg to be allowed to keep my socks on. You know, for a birthday treat. Brad and I would be perfect for each other.

OP posts:
lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 08/03/2012 14:10

What is wrong, fee?

PhoenixFromTheFlames · 08/03/2012 14:20

I think it's pms...I'm really bad. I don't know what to do with myself, poor MSB doesn't know what to do either. I just keep bursting into tears :(

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 08/03/2012 15:43

Taking the risk of being evicted from the BESHes, I want to give you a big hug, fee. I am sorry you are feeling so bad, and unstoppable crying is a very familiar experience in the lemon household There, there, Buck Up you Missy.

I am not allowed to mention my sister's recurring pg-symptom of going completely loopy, I suppose

Thinking of you in any case.

PhoenixFromTheFlames · 08/03/2012 15:53

Aw thanks sometimes we do sneak hugs if no-one is looking we've been for a walk and played in the arcades so I feel a bit better. Might run or swim in a bit. Have a least stopped weeping_!

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 08/03/2012 16:11

Well done for the stopping weeping, fee. And some exercise tends to lift my mood every time. So go for it. And then a nice meal with MSB and some relaxing is what Dr Lemon prescribes!
