TTC on the frontier of polite society . Shoot outs compulsory.

New joiners will be welcomed after completing the Beshtionnaire and showing us their blazing saddle.

They aren't really poppable...I opted for soaking in bath then blister plasters and a medicinal steak dinner.

eurochick · 06/03/2012 21:23

fee you need good socks, laydee!

Sink I despair of my forum posts whenever I catch sight of them later. I can spell and punctuate. Just not when I post on here, it seems.

PhoenixFromTheFlames · 06/03/2012 21:48

I just bought new running shoes because according to my local running shop I over-pronate. The blisters started when I ran a long distance in my old trainers. I.thought they were healed enough to run in my new ones but obviously not Confused I got suggestions for good socks in the sport section so I'll order some while I heal.
It's gone crazy in 'infertility' in the hut of gl/doom with one person going menkul at the idea of checking position Shock

Pipbin · 06/03/2012 22:00

Hi ladies, can I join the BESH?

I'm 36 and now on cycle #9. GP has done bloods for me, which were fine, and SA for him, which said that there was twice as many as there needed to be but only half as many going in the right direction.
So we have been referred and are waiting to hear.

Moreover, every other woman out there is pregnant or just had a baby. And I am getting fed up with the waiting. Waiting to OV, waiting for AF, waiting for test results, waiting for EWCM, waiting for a positive OPK.

CaveMum · 06/03/2012 22:05

[sniffs the air]

Fresh blood?

Well Pipbin, pardner, you need to seek out the BESHtionnaire (check old BESH threads) and submit your answers for approval.

[whispers] Psst, BESH - has anyone ever been rejected? Of course any mention of "baby dust" or [spits] "baby dancing" = lifetime ban.

Northey · 06/03/2012 22:17

Weird, feef! Is she the same c&rrie who has previously been c&rriedababi and c&rryinganothertwobabies?

Howdy, pipbin. Do the BESHtionnaire. Make it miiiiighty fine.

OP posts:
PhoenixFromTheFlames · 06/03/2012 22:24

No northey different carrie. T'other one is differ ATM but sadly lost one twin during this pregnancy
For those who are interested that thread is here
I know pipbin! --I used to be havealittlefaithbaby yes, do fill in a BESHtionnaire. I thin you'll fit right in!

PhoenixFromTheFlames · 06/03/2012 22:27

I believe long, long ago someone who was ttc for her ?5 dc was politely told it probably wasn't the right place for her cavey.
Oh, in other news, I am ridiculously emotional today. Droid due Sunday according to futility fiend but that would be a 27 day cycle based on average but the last three have been 26 so I'd expect Saturday instead. Menkul, menkul.

eurochick · 06/03/2012 22:41

Great. Just as I am getting ready to go on holiday, it feels like I am getting a cold. Now three month of immune suppressants decide to have some fecking effect.

sinkingflameofhilarity · 06/03/2012 23:12

Pheonix - holy molely - who'd have thought having a quick furtle could be so horror inducing. I didn't back read the thread, but it she quite new to the whole prolonged TTC thang? Tbh, after my laparoscopy and the laaaaazzering of the ovaries, I couldn't give a monkeys about a quick feel. Not that I've ever noticed any change, but, y'know, today might be the day...

jewelsandbinoculars · 07/03/2012 07:55

YY to feeling the age angst. I was 33 when we started ttc - will be 35 soon.

Bugs I've had ridiculous post MC periods - really heavy. Pretty consistently, too. Have yours been the same?

Welcome pipbin. Come and wait here. My main wait at mo (besides 2w one which I haven't energy to get exercised by this month) is that we still haven't had the results for JJ's SA and they said 7 days - 10 days max two long weeks ago. It's not helping the menkul.

CaveMum · 07/03/2012 08:03

Well it looks like I've had a temp shift, but not sure exactly when I ovulated. It might have been as late as yesterday, so I really hope Monday's sechsing will have covered the bases.

The menkulling commences.

FriendofDorothy · 07/03/2012 08:54

OK laydeeesss.... you lot know everything.

I have really crunchy sore knees at the moment and I am thinking about trying a supplement to see if they ease a little. Someone has recommended glucosamine and chondroitin to me but does anyone know if they arent recommended if one is TTC?

KatAndKit · 07/03/2012 09:01

Dr Google says they should be avoided in pregnancy - not because they actually cause harm but because there have been no studies to show they are safe. No info about TTC that i can find yet, but these supplements are not regulated so I guess it depends on how menkul you are during 2ww.

cavey yay for temp rise, sounds like Monday's shagfest was perfectly timed. Fingers crossed for you this month.

Excellent news cavey, worth HWHNN's early alarm call the next day then!
sinking no, she's been ttc for a while this time but already has a dc! Horrified she was. Apparently with all the other options for fertility checking she just doesn't think it's necessary Hmm
dot it's tricky isn't it? I was going to suggest cod liver oil but that has vitamin A so that's out as well. Omega 3 is a good all-round supplement keeps my skin smooth and my brain ticking over might be worth a try?

TotallyUnsure · 07/03/2012 09:22

Mornign all!!

i have been sent over from my miserable wallowy thread to join the fun!

FriendofDorothy FWIW my DH was taking Glucosamine and it did nothing to help (his joint problem - not the TTC) :o but can reccomend lots of painkillers

KatAndKit · 07/03/2012 09:25

Morning totally pliz to be telling us more about yourself. And pliz to be searching for the BESHtionnaire and submitting one for our amusement. We likes fresh meat round these parts

Northey · 07/03/2012 09:57

dotty, have you thought about changing your diet a bit, to include more of the stuff that supports joints? Like, umm, I don't know, oily fishy stuff? Confused That way you would get the nutrients without worrying about the supplement angle?

Nice to have HWHNN's overnight dash validated, cavey :)

Howdy, totally. I do hope you actually do the BESHtionnaire and stay - the last couple of fresh victims said hello and then vanished. It's a tough life in the wild west, of course, but I didn't think we were that bad. We've all got cute horses and everything

Howdy - I am a disaster at cowboy chat but have been lurking for ages. I know euro from elsewhere but you seem a lovely lot handsome studs, so I thought I'd throw in the BESHTonaire.

  1. Do you like gin? (This is compulsory, you must say 'Yes')
Duh. We have four types in the house. (One of which is terrible stuff The Other brought with him when he moved in). One of them, and some tonic is always in the fridge (although may be replaced by scary hormones this summer)

  2. Men - are you a gold digger or a cradle snatching cougar?
Cradle snatcher, no doubt about it. (Although that may be where we've gone wrong, currently exactly the same age)

  3. Baybee-making - to put a baybee in your tumtum, which hole do you use:
    a) weewee
    b) poopoo
    c) foofoo
    d) none, you just pray to the baby Jebus.

e) A doctor, and I look the other way while he does his business

  1. Testing - when someone wonders if they should test for updiff (pg), do you: a) bellow 'POAS!' at them non-stop and punch them repeatedly in the kidneys till they wet themselves anyway. b) Sprinkle them with babydust and send them hugs and kisses on lickle baby angel wings.

I don't open their topic. I cannot guarantee their safety otherwise.

  1. Is R2D2: a) an adorable robot from Star Wars. b) the source of all evil.

That is the bloody mess, isn't it? (Outing myself as a proper lurker.)

  1. what colour are your walls?

mostly white, one orange

  1. Number of pets?

none (unless you count the fact that as the childless one I look after the parental cat and the nephew's fish every time anyone goes on hols).

  1. Inappropriate (read: weird) crush of shame?

Will come back to this...

  1. Lesbian crush?

Audrey Tautou (Amelie)

  1. What are your views on camping?

Love - providing it is a) beautiful outdoorsy or b) near a sea one can swim in

  1. How much money have you spent on sticks you then urinate on? i) Oh nothing, I'll probably catch first time and then get the doctor to confirm it. ii) Over 100 quid iii) I opened an account on ebay solely for the purpose of purchasing sticks

I have tested only 3 times TTC for 20 months and only one of those was newly shop-bought (the others were free cheapies with O-sticks) and from now it is by blood test, so what I am going to do with the spares...

KatAndKit · 07/03/2012 10:15

Hello drizzle you have clearly been lurking. Welcome to the saloon. I believe you have passed the initiation with almost flying colours (awaiting news on the crush of shame).
I take it from your answers that you are down the ivf route?

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 07/03/2012 10:28

Thanks kat and we're having a whirl with IUI first but it will be IVF later. Natural TTC is def off the cards now. Re: crush of shame, I am debating a) who is the worst and b) how far I am willing to go in the self-outing.

KatAndKit · 07/03/2012 10:31

I admitted to Sully off Dr Quinn. That is quite shameful. I challenge you to do even worse than that.

Northey · 07/03/2012 10:38

lemonylemons, you sound splendid. Or whatever the cowboy equivalent is. Mighty fine, possibly. Go for broke with full shamefulness on the crush of shame front. And also tell us more about you please.

Also, if you stay (and I shurely hope you do), you will need to acquire a horse from somewhere. And give it a silly name.

OP posts:
FriendofDorothy · 07/03/2012 11:33

Oh Drizzle you do indeed sounds marvellous! You'll fit right in around here with all the other BESHes.

Plz spill beans though. We need to know.
