TTC on the frontier of polite society . Shoot outs compulsory.

New joiners will be welcomed after completing the Beshtionnaire and showing us their blazing saddle.

Hi bugs I'm doing ok. SPD is giving me an excellent excuse to stay in my armchair and peruse the internet shops all day long. The baybee seems to be growing just fine and he should be coming out in 5-6 weeks unless he gets any ideas of extending his stay. I have had "words" with him about this though. He has been told this is not the way forward!

blonderthanred · 04/03/2012 20:10

That's very exciting K&K. A lovely Easter chick.

Bugs I am very honoured that you have got out the silver sparkly nipple stickers. We're not worthy, etc. Btw my opk + was on an Amazon cheapie, as was the first pg test +, so they definitely do work.

Spent much of this evening bursting into tears at random stuff (oh! such nice skating... waaah), my brother is living with us so he just thinks I'm being particularly weird.

CaveMum · 05/03/2012 07:12

Ow!!!! I have sechs related injury! My neck/shoulder has been frozen since last nights session. I was hoping it would work its way loose overnight but it's still really stiff and painful Sad

A very, very faint line on the OPK this morning so I think we're done. Temperature is up compared to the base line this morning, but won't be able to confirm a definite rise till tomorrow at least.

Crossing all apendages!

PhoenixFromTheFlames · 05/03/2012 07:27

realised I suggested everyone else dance nekkid but I hadn't! How are you feeling this morning?
Hope the next few weeks go well Kat. Sorry to hear about the spd ouch . Look after yourself and little man!
cavey that sounds painful! Ibuprofen would be ny recommendation if you can take it...maybe ask him to massage it a bit very gently
Im halfway through the tww and have had ongoing womble twinges since I laid my egg and lots of reflux. Little bit menkul.....but we're off on holiday today up to Llandudno for 4 nights so hopefully I'll relax a bit. I'll have my smart phone but probably won't be quite so active as normal.

blonderthanred · 05/03/2012 07:53

Wow Cave that's quite the sechsy badge of honour. Although also I imagine quite painful. Hopefully you can use the opportunity for some stiff-shouldered cowboy swagger?

Phoenix wit-woo at the nekkidness. Hope the 2ww ends in some joy. Bloody inefficient of our bodies to give out such mixed signals. Btw I am feeling v tingly from top to toe, however it is hard to tell if that's a symptom or just excitement. Suddenly v aware of my body's every twinge. Still expecting it must be shome mishtake and I will see blood on my next loo trip but so far so good and another (darker) BFP this morning. Omfg.

Oh also didn't get to sleep till gone 4am from excitement so slightly delirious.

Northey · 05/03/2012 08:09

How about a deep, hot bath, cave? I know it's not recommended for ttc-ers, but it might help. Or one of those microwaveable heaty uppy wheat bag things - anything that might get some relaxing warmth round the area.

Have a fab holiday, fifi. Are you going on to Snowdonia sort of way - v lovely?

CaveMum · 05/03/2012 08:17

Ta ladies, I'm not really a bath person Northey, but I did give it a good blast under the shower this morning. Daft thing is we weren't even doing anything acrobatic Hmm

I think I'm going to get HWHNN to come home tonight, despite the very faint line I've had additional pant snot and a quick furkle confirms cervix is very much low and open. Thing is he's got to be in Wales tomorrow morning - we live in East Anglia! Hopefully he can get off work early, cone home, dtd, have some dinner and head back to base. It's a lot of driving, but I feel like we need to give it another shot just to be on the safe side.

Northey · 05/03/2012 08:23

Definitely pant snot and not residual sperm? With the cervix thing though I would definitely think its worth an extra shot.

blonderthanred · 05/03/2012 08:37

Definitely go for it Cave. Just maybe not one handed dangling from the chandelier yeah?

blonderthanred · 05/03/2012 08:37

Mmm Twirl.

CaveMum · 05/03/2012 09:17

Fairly certain it's pant snot - it passed the stretch test.

HWHNN has said he'll leave work early to come home. Bless!

eurochick · 05/03/2012 10:46

Great news blonde!

I got a BFN this morning. Meh. I'm not in a happy place.

KatAndKit · 05/03/2012 11:09

Sorry about the BFN

Well, the Daily Fail is on top form today. This article is a clear example of where the name Barren Evil Selfish Hags came from.

www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2110133/The-women-wish-hadnt-left-late-start-family.html

For once, most of the comments are against the author. Who is a very stupid cow indeed.

Northey · 05/03/2012 11:47

Bad luck, euro. Still no droid though?

I just heard I didn't get a job I DIDN'T EVEN WANT and am now joining you in the unhappy place. Cowboys with secret sorrows and hacked off expressions.

I can't even read that article, kat. I've a feelin it will tip me over the edge today.

OP posts:
KatAndKit · 05/03/2012 11:49

That's poo about the job northey I am sending lots of whiskey to the saloon to help you commiserate. What sort of things are you applying for?

eurochick · 05/03/2012 11:53

Nah Norfy. Droid isn't due for another 2-3 days. I have to test around 12 dpo because you are not supposed to take the steroids for more than 2 weeks if not pregnant (if you take them for more than 14 days, you have to come off them gradually rather than just stopping).

That sucketh muchly about the job. I did my CV up this weekend and sent it over to a recruiter but I am not sure I am ready for the emotional rollercoaster of job hunting on top of the emotional rollercoaster of ttc.

I am wondering whether or not to torture myself with that article. Oh why the hell not. It can't make me feel any lower today.

eurochick · 05/03/2012 11:59

Actually, that article is more sympathetically written than others I have seen on the subject, and the comments are less stupid than you usually find on the daily fail site.

KatAndKit · 05/03/2012 12:01

So do you have to take the steroids starting with ovulation then? That must be a bit of a nightmare for you, you must feel all up and down all over the place.

In more cheerful news, I did recently read that they have found ways of increasing the effectiveness of ivf procedures recently. They think they have got it up to 40% now which is great news for anyone who is about to go down that route.

I hate writing CVs. They are so difficult to get just right.

eurochick · 05/03/2012 12:15

Yes, KandK. You have to get the timing right, because if you haven't ovulated when you start taking it, it can delay ov. Then you take it for a maximum of 14 days and then test. You stop the steroids if you get a BFN and continue them if you get a BFP. I am also on progesterone this month and that can delay Droid's arrival, so I needed to test a couple of days before the little metal bstd is due.

Northey · 05/03/2012 13:05

Lobbyist/public affairs shite. Oh balls to it all.

And in the meantime, of course, I'm sechsing away with my head in the sand, firmly refusing to engage with the lack of maternity pay etc if I DID get diffed.

Great news about the improved success rates, euro. Ad good luck for job change too.
