Thanks, Lemon, that's very kind Thanks
It was just the once. Wish I could train myself not to look at the friggin loo roll! Force of habit.
Almost 23 weeks now, there is never going to be any 'safe' time I think! Doc didn't seem concerned, just said to come back if it keeps happening. Baby still moving thank god.
Won't it be great when we're all graduates and can put this behind us!

ColeyOz · 28/01/2012 15:26

Iggi- could you go down to your local maternity ward for a check up just to put your mind at ease? The midwives can listen for the baby and do a general check. Thinking of you.

freelancegirl · 28/01/2012 15:34

iggi how horrible to find blood. I had it the other day but it definitely came out the back way I found out in the end. Could that be you too? Either way it is quite common like Lemon says, but again still worrying. 23 weeks and counting, it does go so slowly doesn't it. Not long however and you will be viable! That will be another great milestone.

Lemon you would be sorely disappointed if you saw me now - tangled hair, no make-up and a severe case of Pred Head - ie slightly puffy with dark circles under my eyes. Oh and wearing a tracksuit (although I haven't yet left the house so will scrub up a bit later). I fancy that Bayliss thing too. I got some straighteners a couple of years ago and I love them.

Hope everyone is having/has had a good meet up! I was wondering why it was quiet on here. Am working really hard so keep forgetting it is Saturday.

Pebbles I missed your post earlier! Hope you are having a good weekend.

Oh and Willitbe yes to meet up in April, we will have to get our heads together.

Right, back to work as I have so much to do.

igggi · 28/01/2012 16:33

Coley the out-of-hours gp I saw listened for the heartnbeat, and I'm feeling movements as normal. Starting to suspect I have a UTI though. Am staying with in-laws which doesn't help!

snoopygirl · 28/01/2012 16:49

iggi hope things are ok what a worry. Wouldn't that be wonderful to graduate to another thread 'Pred babies'! Put your feet up pls!

pebbles hope your ok and it hasn't put too much of a downer on things this weekend. Did they just tell you info about gender? Seems strange, I def wouldn't want to know. thought they would have been bit more sensitive.

lemon I have a similar thing. Hairdryer with brush round it which is great. Drag it through nearly dry hair give it a bit of a flick up and good to go. Alll acheived in 45 secs flat! Ok it's not exactly a salon job but at least i don't look like a scarecrow on school dash Smile

eurochick · 28/01/2012 17:02

igggi I hope you are feeling ok.

pebbles I hope you are ok. Being told the gender must be really tough.

free and lemon the clinic didn't get back to me so we went for it anyway. We had been having swi over the past few days in any event so it is too late to stop this cycle I think! It would be ironic if after 14 cycles without a sniff of a BFP we end up with several eggs fertilising at once! The odds are certainly against it. I would just like to know what is happening though. I can normally feel ovulation as a slightly uncomfortable bloaty feeling, but today I have been in proper pain! I can hardly straighten up. I just dragged myself around the supermarket. Driving was difficult (unfortunately Mr euro doesn't drive) and I pranged my alloys as I was finding it difficult to turn the wheel quickly enough. Arses. I would dearly love to know what the hell is going on in there! Anyway, what's done is done so I will stop mentalling now! Thanks for bearing with me.

I don't think I could bring myself to buy a product called "big hair". I have spent most of my life trying to tame my (wavy) mop. I remember at school someone said they were having a bad hair day. I replied "lucky you, I am having a bad hair life...". And then some wonderous person invented GHDs. Hurrah.

ColeyOz · 28/01/2012 17:16

Glad to hear you were able to see someone iggi. Feeling movements is very reassuring!

I couldn't live without my GHD either euro - I don't know what I did with my thick curly hair beforehand!

freelancegirl · 28/01/2012 18:00

Just a quickie from me to tell you something funny. Had a text from DH (who btw is at a football match) to say he is with a chap whose wife is being seeing by Mr S! Apparently they are quite sceptical so they want to talk to me. Am guessing she is not pregnant and hasn't yet found us lot :) Very happy to talk to her as you can imagine.

Am left wondering how on earth he had that conversation with someone he just met at the football: 'Hello, I'm Mr Free, enjoying the match? BTW, my wife has a killer womb and necks lots of pharmaceuticals...Goal!'

Will fill you in when I know more.

snoopygirl · 28/01/2012 18:19

free you should be on commision from Dr S all this recruiting! How on earth did he get on that subject at a footie match!

Hope all you ladies had a good meet today.

ChoccyPud · 28/01/2012 18:34

free that's classic, we do indeed need to know how on earth they managed to get onto killer wombs! Men eh?!

Isn't it a Good Thing though that they're talking and she'll shortly find us lot. If she's been on the Miscarriage Assoc website that might be the source of the scepticism... PQ mentioned today that MA are rather anti immuno therapy, NKCs etc. Whatevva - my killer cells are definitely there and doing a remarkably efficient job whether there's a nice NICE certificated trial or not.

Well we had a lovely lunch/afternoon. Great to see you all again girls Grin. We are so lucky to have such a great bunch of ladies on this thread, fab support network but also cracking good company!

And honourable mention to digi - thanks for the tests and vits :)

Sorry you've had more blood igggi but glad it seems to have been a one off.

lemon I wasn't really up for a chat that day we crossed paths at NLC, as you know, but do say when you're down next and we'll see if we can sort something out. I always wonder if the other people there are on here, but it's not something you can easily ask. We were saying we should get some sort of badge, like a discreet lapel pin type thing. And the T shirts obv...!

Hello everyone else, hope you're all having a good weekend. Any testers??

Arianrhod · 28/01/2012 20:41

LOL free I just read your post to DP (also a footy fan, at a game tomorrow) and he also wanted to know how that was brought up in casual conversation! :)

pico I don't think anyone's commented on your calcium question. I have read in several places that steroids deplete calcium levels in the body and that calcium supplements should be taken if on steroids for any length of time. Apparently one of the side effects of steroids cam be osteoporosis, due to the calcium depletion. I don't recall what dose was suggested but if your tests have come back saying you are low on calcium I'd be taking extra.

Glad to hear all was good at the meet-up, love the idea of a Pred Thread badge for identification!! I've just bought my DD a badge maker, if someone felt like designing one (I'm rubbish at art of any kind!) I could nick it and knock some out Grin

/waves to everyone

mercator · 28/01/2012 20:46

iggi so sorry you've had a slight bleed. I had something similar at 25 wks with my lo. They kept me in over night and discharged me nxt day. All was well. Are you due another scan at some point?

Try not to worry too much. Key is if you can feel baby moving which you obviously can!

Nice to have found all you ladies! Hope you're all having a fab weekend!

mercator · 28/01/2012 20:54

Hey pred ladies can I ask if you felt like you had the dt's, shakes etc. I went for a nursery coffee morning yesterday and had to put my tea down before everyone thought I might Have had a skin full the night before!

free I sometimes think blokes just sometimes have these random conversations with other blokes. Can't discuss anything personal about themselves necessarily but can easily discuss our Stuff. My OH just the same.

Arianrhod · 28/01/2012 20:58

merc absolutely, Pred gives me the shakes. It's a pain!

igggi · 28/01/2012 22:23

Thank you, Mercator that's reassuring. I have growth scans at 30 and 34 weeks still to come.
And thank you to everyone for always being there - it is so hard in RL to find people who understand (my MIL has just made a very insensitive remark about my mcs while looking at my latest scan photo, for one example!)

eurochick · 28/01/2012 23:03

I guess at football they aren't looking at one another face to face which probably helps them to open up.

freelancegirl · 29/01/2012 00:08

What did your MIL say Iggi? Is she difficult anyway, like mine tends to be? Hope there's been no more bleeding.

I did text dh and ask how the hell the killer womb convo cropped up at the match and he said they were having a 'how mad is youd wife' conversation and he said 'with or without the drugs'. Ho Ho Ho :) he then added that him and his new pal were now going to set up their own support thread on mn. So technically that means I will find our the real story tomorrow.

Glad you all had a nice time at the meet up! Will have to arrange another soon. Can we have a little round of applause for me still not only being up and dressed but also still being out gone midnight! Have just gig on train so won't get home until about 1.30! Yuck, everyone stinks of booze and burgers. Am cradling a hot milk :)

At the pub tonight I had a lot of people saying congratulations to me, i think I physically cringed every time. My friend whose bday it was has a group of girlfriends she's known for years and I guess it's normal that she told them I am pregnant but I really didn't like the congratulating. As we all know, anyone who has been through what we have doesn't just take it as read that we are going to have a baby. It's not their fault but I really didn't enjoy the attention.

picolina123 · 29/01/2012 08:41

you know what annoys the hell out of me , why cant the miscarriage clinic i go to tell me about the stuff i need to do, i dont know what i would do without all of you to ask since i cant get through on their number, im going to try again tomm and insist someone calls me back, im sure the lady who told me the "plan" said pregnacare had the vitd i needed, i even called back and confirmed everything i was going to be taking when i found out i was pregnant. i'm waiting for shops to open now to go and get the extra vitd3. but im worried i havint been on it.

also what is with these cheeks !! last night was the 1st sat i went out in a mth ive been feeling so crap, my cousins 40th and i just didnt know what to do with the darl circles , BAGS under my eyes and hampster face , which is more hampster than usual, my friend tells me they told look any different and when i asked my husband last night he said ... you look so beautiful..your my baby!! i nearly killed him !!! ha ha what a load of crap!!

picolina123 · 29/01/2012 08:54

free, i usually take pred, pregnacare about 10 am, asprin, omega after dinner at about 7pm

picolina123 · 29/01/2012 09:10

free is this the same as 25 mcg? vitamin D3 (25ug)
and i take 1 a day with food.

BellyD · 29/01/2012 09:45

Hi Ladies

I hope you don't mind if I join you - I have been following your thread for a couple of days and you are all amazing whatever stage of the roller coaster you are on.

I have suffered four mc all between 6-9 weeks, the last being Oct. Have been under Prof Regan since Sept 10 who diagnosed APS (although only ever had one pos result). So took aspirin and heparin for last preg. Decided to go and see Dr Shehata after a friend recommended him as I have lots of food and environ allergies. He diagnosed v high nk cells (2.51) and doesn't think I have APS at all. Grrrrr! Due to tests we sat out out this month and start on pred next cycle. Am really worried as can't take intralipid as Dr S recommends as am allergic to soya. Do you think this will make a big diff?

Am a teacher too - like loads of you seem to be - told my acupuncturist about that and she said teachers are by far her biggest client group - weird. DH letting me take a career break to concentrate on project baby.

Hope it's ok to tag along for the ride.

lemonsherbet · 29/01/2012 09:55

Hi BellyD I find this board a get source of support and do not know what I would do without it. Sorry you find yourself in this situation. I find it quite comforting to see other ladies who have been told nothing is wrong being diagnosed with high NK cells then going on to have normal pregnancy. Gives me hope that one day that may be me.

picolina123 · 29/01/2012 10:04

welcome to the club bellyd, these ladies are amazing ! and we are going through the same thing so they understand like no friends or family can

Stogan · 29/01/2012 10:36

Welcome belly d and happy Sunday morning to all.

I'm in bed suffering super human bloating and very mild but uncomfortable braxton hicks ! This is not a complaint u understand, merely an area to air my frustration whilst lying here unable to do much, the joys Grin

digitalgirl · 29/01/2012 11:20

Welcome bellyd sorry for your losses, but sounds like you did the right thing getting the nk test. When's your next cycle due to start?

stogan take it easy with those bh. I always take them as a sign to slow down.

Am v tired today. Had dinner at a friend's last night and drove back at midnight. Dh currently sealing off the newly plastered wall. Can't wait for this dust to go.
