Badger excellent news so very pleased for you. Anyone asked why you are smiling like a Cheshire cat?

BadgerFace · 16/05/2012 15:16

Ha, not yet bugsy although I am too busy worrying over a pitch I've got to do tomorrow morning so maybe the joy will become more apparent in 24 hours time!

sunnyg · 16/05/2012 19:02

badger absolutely fantastic news! A big congrats to you!

ET went well. Got 1 good quality early blasto on board. I hope that it was just early blasto is okay. Was told that from here it will continue to grow then hatch. It's hard not to worry about every little thing isn't it. But really, considering how much things have turned arounds since those first few scans I can't but be positive.

Pocket1 · 16/05/2012 20:10

BRILLIANT news Badger. I am so pleased for you. Just enjoy it. And good luck with your pitch tmw. Grin

Sunny woo hoo great news. Hope you manage to stay calm (ish) on the bench!

Bugsy hope you've found some means of relaxing. I do a bit of meditation, affirmation, visualisation and acupuncture.

Hi Weller that all sounds v promising and well done for continuing the stims whilst boogeying to dancing queen!! Just wondering if we might be cycle buddies - I've got downreg jab Friday and provisional FET date of 18 June. Fx for your scan tmw.

Maple sounds like your living the life of a secret agent! And yes what a shame to pass on all that scrummy food... But all for the very best of reasons!

Good luck scrummy and sunny

pocket scan showed 4 small follies that need to grow so another scan Monday will know next steps so I hope we can be cycle buddies Wink

Lexie1970 · 17/05/2012 12:28

badger that is brilliant news - photograph and keep those tests!!!

Hope everyone else is ok - this has turned into such a positive thread which is fab.

I had the HSG on Monday very quick and straightforward. Not particularly pleasant procedure so I felt for anybody that required more force ( if that is the right word when they inject dye) that couple of seconds when your insides are being pinched is something I have no desire to repeat! The results were good. Nothing blocking / obstructing dye flow at all and consultant was pleased.

It just basically confirms what fertility consultant said. Our secondary infertility is ovarian - the eggs I have are not many and probably what I do have are not great. However as long as I still ovulate, there is always a chance I can get pregnant again. I will keep plotting my temp and using CBFM and see if it is meant to be.

We have decided not to go down the egg donor route because we already have a fantastic little boy - our choices would be different if we didn't.

I guess this is me signing off this thread - you never know - one day I may get another BFP but feel content with what we have.

No doubt will lurk so fingers and everything crossed for everyone.

Xx

Pocket1 · 17/05/2012 19:40

Weller positive progress my dear. Just tell those follies to do as they're told!! Fx for mondays scan X

sarlat · 18/05/2012 07:21

Morning All

Massive Congrats to Badger -brilliant, brilliant, brilliant!

Sunny - well done for getting to blasto stage. How was ET and what are you doing with your time in the 2ww?

Well things have moved very quickly for me. Last Friday, they were on the verge of abandoning my IVF cycle. Dr suggested my ovary output had all of a sudden nose-dived. By Monday (after increased med, acupuncture, high protein and antioxident diet and hot water bottles), my scan showed some follies coming through. They confirmed I was going ahead at Tuesdays scan and predicted me 6-8 eggs.

Had egg colection yesterday. Wow - love those drugs and it went well. Got 10 eggs. Was delighted with this. Really enjoyed the whole day (although was very doped up).

Waiting to get the call from the embryologist this morning to learn how many have fertilised (Please God let them be ok).

But what a turn around. I know we are no where near 'out of the woods' yet, but the progress we made this week does feel like a small victory. It's just a series of hurdles isn't it. And by heck, the emotions are so up and down.

Hello to everyone who I haven't mentioned. I can't thank you girls enough for calming me down last weekend. I hope such stories help other girls too.

Will update agaain. Sarlat xx

sarlat · 18/05/2012 07:29

Sunny - I think our stories so far are fairly similar. I know what you mean about 'can't help but feel positive'. When the early scans don't go well and then suddenely you get to ec and in your case et, it feels like a massive leap.

Lexie - well done for going through all those tests. I guess you can always leave your heart open to ttc but yet not dwell on when the BFP might turn up. Hope that makes sense. I don't know you well or your background story but the only other think I couls suggest is trying alternative treatment to see if that can help egg quality e.g. acupuncture or homeopath or nutritionalist etc. Apologies if you have already been down that route. But good luck for the future and glad you have peace.

Wellerbabe - good luck, I urge your follies to keep growing.

BadgerFace · 18/05/2012 08:41

Sarlat that's amazing!! Well done on your 10 eggs! Good luck with the call from the embryologist today, go embies go!

elisse100209 · 18/05/2012 08:50

bugsylugs · 18/05/2012 16:50

MiniH · 18/05/2012 18:06

bugsy I wish I had some sensible words of help but thought I would send you a hug and all fingers an toes crossed that everything is ok.

sarlat ten is great news. Hope the call fr embryologist brings more good news.

lexie it's sad to see you leaving us and you will be missed. I really hope that no matter what route things take in the future for you that you find some peace (which it sounds like you already have).

elise sorry but have no experience of clomid but hopefully someone knowledgeable will be along soon.

lucylookout · 18/05/2012 18:10

How many weeks are you Bugsy? Its increase does slow, and the doubling is I think on average every 24 - 48 hours. To give you an idea, when I was just over 5 weeks pregnant HCG went from 7700 to 13000, not quite double. Then 2 days later it was 20000 and 2 days after that (so at 6 weeks + 1) it was 35000. Sorry for quick post, in the middle of something but hope that helps.

bugsylugs · 18/05/2012 18:23

in a week it has gone from 6100 to 17,000 does not seem enough to me plus abdo pain. Scan Mon. spoke to haematologist today they want to see me so maybe get some answers soon on protein s so that is good news and we have kept our appointment at care.

welcome to elise,
sarlat excellent number

Pocket1 · 18/05/2012 18:31

Wow Sarlat that is all really fab. And 10 eggs too. Lovely. Fx for those embies over the next few days!

Elisse welcome to the thread. Sounds like you're being regularly scanned etc. What does your clinic say about your results so far?

Bugsy im sorry you're worried but hopefully Lucys post helps. Try to relax and rest over the weekend. When is your scan?

How are all our other lovely pregnant ladies doing?

AFM i am officially back on the crazy bus. Just had my downreg jab. Bring on AF! Apparently this time in addition to progynova, evorel, aspirin and presnisolone, I will be taking daily celaxine jabs AND daily progesterone jabs. But no cycligest bottom tablets!!

Wishing everyone a happy and peaceful weekend. I'm at a wedding, fx for a bit of sun, at least for the piccies!!

BiscuitBiscuit

lucylookout · 18/05/2012 19:43

Fingers crossed all is OK Bugsy. The whole 'doubling every 48 hours' really is just an average. Some people are slower, some are quicker. Have you had acupuncture recently? That could help; increasing blood flow to uterus etc. At least you don't have to wait too long for your scan.

Pocket, congratulations at being back on the bus. Wishing you lots and lots of luck with this cycle.

Elisse, welcome to the thread. I'm sorry but I don't have any knowledge about clomid either, but I'm sure someone will be along soon who does.

Happy weekend to everyone else.

maplecake · 19/05/2012 09:07

WOW - so much has happened in just a few days!

Badger that's such fantastic news - congratulations!! How did your pitch go btw?

Sarlat 10 eggs is amazing - any news from the embryologist?

Pocket Great news you are back on the bus! Hope you have a lovely time at the wedding this weekend and can't wait to hear how you get on over the next few weeks.

Bugsy I'm sorry you're feeling so anxious and hope you get some answers next week. I don't think there's a set road to being pregnant and as Lucy said, each woman is different, so if at all possible, try to stave off the worrying. Thinking of you.

Elisse Welcome to the thread - apologies, but I don't know anything about Clomid either.

Hi to anyone I've missed and will be back later with proper update - although not too much to report from me - I'm all about the uneventful atm!!

Have lovely weekends all. xxx

wellerbabe · 19/05/2012 10:43

bugsy good luck with scan

pocket welcome back on the bus Grin

Waves to everyone. I am at a netball weekend secretly injecting myself last night in bedroom whilst lots of drunk girls in my chalet. Interesting ! P.S taking it easy not playing Wink

EllieMcBellie · 19/05/2012 14:08

Hey ladies

Haven't been on here for a few days (have been trying to put it to the back of my mind!) but I start downregging on Monday so I can't hide for much longer Blush also have an intralipid infusion booked for Monday too

Let the madness begin :o

Italiangreyhound · 19/05/2012 16:18

Hi ladies, just popping in. Hugs to all.

Pocket any news?

To all the newbies hi and all the VERY best and to all the oldies all the VERY best too.

Looking forward to hearing more news. Hugs.

PS all fine with me, had a bit of a 'poor' me blip but now ok. I am still excited about things and even considering going to an open evening about fostering very soon. Hugs and God bless to all.

sarlat · 19/05/2012 19:05

Hi

9 out of 10 eggs fertilised - really grateful for that.

Going to hospital tomorrow for egg transfer. Or not, if they decide to wait for blasto stage.

Trying to stay positive. Thank you for all the good luck vibes.

Good luck Ellie and Pocket. Waves to everyone else. x
