One for the pot, one for frosty eh?

I was dreading cooking tonight. We have few ingredients because a shopping centre in our town collapsed last week due to blahdy blah geographical stuff. It contained two o town's three supermarkets, hence the remaining one is hell on earth. Thankfully jb has offered to get an Indian Yaaaay!

I'm looking forward to fb pics of boo making an arse of herself. ;) did you do the sechs?

MadameBoo · 10/12/2011 14:53

No - he passed out and I stayed up with a couple of my friends in post party blissness, eating toast and drinking tea, and smoking menthols by the back door. I have a horrible fag hangover, hadn't smoked for weeks. But it was WORTH it :o

Awayinamangercooper · 10/12/2011 14:54

Alpine I do not believe in trucking either, but I do think it will be a great shame for both of us if he cannot overcome his fear. I genuinely believe that he would take great joy in DC. But trucking would damage the trust, which is I think what you're getting at, so we are where we are.

Thank god I have my glittering career to fall back on! Hmm

AlpinePony · 10/12/2011 14:56

Don't be boo, as long as we don't get people swanning in saying 'omg, ttc#4, #3 was a nightmare, took nearly 2 weeks of trying' we welcome all ancient gin lovers! ;)

Jb said he wasn't really ready, but he said he knew I really wanted it and he was very much aware I couldn't wait 5 years. He said he liked me enough to have wanted to remain a father even if our relationship hadn't worked out. So we abandoned contraception and mother nature had a giggle by ensuring it was another year before I got my bfp. :/ that year was probably good for us because we learned so much about each other, we had some difficult crap going on aside the monthly disappointments. It's all good now of course.

When I was 27 I was in a relationship with a man who already had a child but didn't want more. My mum suggested I get 'casual' with taking the pill. I knew I wanted my partner on board. I am delighted I did not have a child with that man because had I done so I'd still be having weekly contact with him... He got 50% custody of his daughter, not because he wanted her, but because he wanted to hurt his ex. :(

FrostytheSunshine · 10/12/2011 14:59

You got it Pone! Shopping centre collapse incident? Take it no one was in it?

Boo sounds like a great night. I love that tea & toast time after parties.

MadameBoo · 10/12/2011 15:02

And taking off the corset was such a relief Sunny. Sorry you have to entertain bores ce soir. Can you liven them up somehow?

It has been on the national news here, all pretty scary really as there's an apartment block on top. Yes, there were people inside at the start. Us Tsk! We went to do the shopping the other week and the entrance was blocked by a fire engine (toot toot!), so I thought 'no problem, we can get in another way...'. Wally. Unbeknownst to us, a 100m deep hole was opening up less than 70m from the supermarket and less than that from where we parked our car.

I was only joking about 'glittering careers', I think the word 'career' is very misleading. None of us are Stella rimmington, we are all just in jobs paying bills and dating dickheads in our 20's.

MadameBoo · 10/12/2011 15:18

Good plan Sunshine Wink

Sorry Pone, i'm only half reading posts today. I'm glad you're ok

Pone that's scary! A similar thing happened at the opening of a new store when we lived in Spain, the upper floor collapsed into the ground floor. We weren't anywhere near it at the time though.

I am only too familar with the career woman myth, I knew you were joking. Smile My naively smug younger self used to arf at career women, knowing I would never be such a fool as to leave it so late

Pff, no real danger I think, but when out walking the dogs we've noticed geological survey type people out and about. We only live quarter of a mile from the shopping centre and they reckon it's something to do with it being an old mining town and underground rivers and shiz, what can you do eh?

baubles thank you. I want to put more pics up but am just dementedly sad at my stupid saggy boobs. Above neckline happy and smiley. Below neckline disasterzone.

Away, ha! I was going to finish medical school at 23 and have my first child at 24.

SantasCave · 10/12/2011 16:53

Hi all, I'm back from my dance lesson. Twas nice actually to be active and take my mind off things. Did some jive, samba and waltz.

HWHNN is safely back on base Sad so I'll be settling down for Strictly later on.

AuntieDoris · 10/12/2011 17:01

I am the same bauble - thought I would get husband, kids in my twenties... that was my life's plan. A career wasn't really on my radar.

However, The Mister didn't materialise until I was 32 so that generally fucked up my plans!

SantasCave · 10/12/2011 17:07

I always thought I'd have kids by 30 Sad
HWHNN and I met when I was almost 21 but didn't get married till I was 27.5. We had the children talk and agreed we wanted them at some point but my clock sodding big alarm bells didn't kick in till late 2009 (aged 28.5) and then my body decided to throw a PCOS shaped spanner in the plumbing [sigh].

Right, I've got a box of rum truffles hidden away somewhere. Any takers?

HaveUrselfAFaithyChristmasBaby · 10/12/2011 18:28

cavey sorry your fella is away tonight :( 'specially with Droid around. We shall keep you company. Exciting Strictly to watch though eh?
I'd luff a rum truffle.
Career wise I wanted a career but knew a baybee would be fine. I wanted my first baybee before I was 30. I doubt I will win my baybee before by 30th..actually unless it's a bfp this month...that would be from the thank GOD we are alive sechs with a Christmas bfp. Now wouldn't that be a Christmas miracle! Xmas Grin
I haff helped my big sister decorate her tree and we watched Deck the halls. They set their house on fire in that :(

FrostytheSunshine · 10/12/2011 18:40

AIBU to be a bit cross that the dullards have cancelled on us?! Long story, one of them is coming the other one is not. They could have told me about 5 fucking hours ago. Before I made beds up for their kids & sweated in the kitchen. Gah.

Never mind. Nice dinner to eat.

I never wanted a baybee until I met the SSG. True.

AuntieDoris · 10/12/2011 19:06

Gah. The Droid is due to visit on my birthday. Happy-fucking-birthday!

HaveUrselfAFaithyChristmasBaby · 10/12/2011 19:19

I am not far off eating curry :) yum.

MadameBoo · 10/12/2011 19:59

I'll come and eat the spare food Sunny? Then we can misbehave in front of the dullard and get pissed (I've got a taste for hedonism this weekend :o).
