boo alas whilst we were bitter, the 'B' was for barren. We were just mid-30s wimmins who'd eschewed motherhood in favour of our glittering careers. then ginhag came, followed by fanny and Polly who obviously already had children but were finding ttc#2 more than a little trying. It was more about the ethos of remaining true to ourselves after having children and not wanting to become wet, feeble apologists. Here endeth the lesson.

I do not approve of trucking a man into fatherhood. :( if it needs to be done then your relationship is not strong enough to have children. I know it's cliche, but my god does it (parenthood) test you. Even the strongest of esh couples have been reduced to petty squabbling and arguments. I know it happens... Thanks for clearing it up Pone. Thing is, no matter how long I've been an ESH I still feel a bit defensive about already having a PFB.

Yeah - I think MrBoo and I had that conversation when we first got together. I just told him I was too old to piss about, and I wanted kids etc. He still needed some gentle persuasion though, but that was because he was worried he'd be a rubbish Dad (which is comical, because he's lovely, but a very common fear I think).
