Howdy all. I've been for cut and colour, I feel fabulous with chocolate and red hair
BettyBoo stupid droid you are always entitled to be mememememme on CD1. Don't sweat it. Congratulations on the work.
What's up dor lovely?
northelicious are you still ok? No late Onset issues?

FriendofDorothy · 20/12/2011 20:07

Oh just that I have started spotting two fucking days before the droid is due! I am so fed up now and I have spent all evening crying which is a bit embarrassing. Bollocks, wank, cock and bastards.

AriesWithBellsOn · 20/12/2011 21:04

Is that not normal for you, Dor? The spotting, not the embarrassing crying...

Sorry :(

NortheyPole · 20/12/2011 21:10

Or is it just an earlier than usual reminder before you were quite prepared for it?

FriendofDorothy · 20/12/2011 21:11

It's a bit early for me.

AriesWithBellsOn · 20/12/2011 21:12

I can spot for four days beforehand sometimes. Haven't done for a while mind, strangely since I have been taking 50mg of Vit B12 supplements.

NortheyPole · 20/12/2011 21:15

I'm a thick who doesn't have regular cycles and so doesn't really get it, dor, so I'm sorry for not understanding, but why does the earliness make you sadder than when it's on time?

NortheyPole · 20/12/2011 21:17

I spit on your spotting in uncomprehending solidarity, of course :(

AriesWithBellsOn · 20/12/2011 21:20

I think I know, Northey. When I start spotting, it's like hope is dashed even earlier than it should be. It's like your body is laughing at you. Isn't that right, Dor? This cycle just gone I had sore boobs from about 4/5 DPO and I knew from then it was game over. It's like you're not even allowed the luxury of WOOFLing :(

FriendofDorothy · 20/12/2011 21:21

Yep that's right. It just feels like the piss is being royally taken. No doubt the droid will launch itself properly on my birthday! Marvellous.

AriesWithBellsOn · 20/12/2011 21:25

Go out and get pissed. Go out with friends. Screech raucously at men. Drain shots. Vomit in the gutter. That's what I did when this happened on my birthday. Failing that, have a nice evening with MrDorothy and think of good stuff. Good luck.

Thanks. I am sorry for being a whinging mare tonight. As you were everyone.

AriesWithBellsOn · 20/12/2011 21:28

Have this inexpertly made piece of cake

OP posts:
FriendofDorothy · 20/12/2011 21:30

Cake, I can do. Thanks :)

NortheyPole · 20/12/2011 21:39

Ah ok, I get it :( What a pile of shit. I hope you feel better soon.

SantasCave · 20/12/2011 21:41

Sorry to hear about the spotting Dor, it sucks.

We had some bad news in work today, one of my colleagues as been diagnosed with breast cancer. She's 55 but thankfully they've caught it early and she's already booked in for an op on 4th Jan.

We've all been through the mill in our office lately. What with me and my faulty plumbing (they don't know precise details but know I've had lots of hospital appointments); our other colleague's mum has severe dementia so she's trying to get social services to help out whilst trying to work and raise her 8yo daughter. There's a part of me that feels like getting pregnant now would be really bad for our company: there's only 4 of us including my boss. Don't get me wrong, I'm not changing my mind about wanting baybees right now, but part of me feels I would be leaving them all in the lurch.

Am I totally and utterly stupid to feel like that???

AriesWithBellsOn · 20/12/2011 21:43

No. You can't help but feel loyal to your colleagues if you like them.

dorothy you have my sympathy. My body plays tricks on me. The spotting is a head fck and is worse than just waking up to the Droid. It leaves an element of doubt could this be implantation? If the metallic numbnuts has the audacity to arrive on your birthday, I'm sure we'll all give it a good bashing for you.rie* is right, Hammer it with shots.
I know what you mean cavey, being in a temporary job means getting up the diff would be very inconvenient to my work. We even thought about stopping ttc when I started but decided 'what will be'...that was last September when we'd been ttc 9 months! Glad we didn't put it off or we wouldn't have found out what was up with MSB. Apparently if unidentified/untreated these things can cause permanent visual problems Shock . Ultimately I've concludedthere's never a good time to have a baybee. Hearing you are up the diff when the time comes may actually bring some cheer to the place. I am sorry to hear about your colleague with the breast cancer. Sounds like a positive prognosis though. Keep us posted. Dementia is horrid. I deal with it every day at work but my Grandma has it- she's in a nursing home now- and dealing with that is really hard. She luffs to sing though. Put a cd on and she'll la away for hours Xmas Grin

FriendofDorothy · 20/12/2011 21:59

I keep trying to convince myself that it is better if I am not pregnant this month. I need to be in my current job for 1 year before I can get maternity benefits. As I started in October that is a bloody long way off. I would still rather be pregnant than have the cash though.

SantasCave · 20/12/2011 22:00

Ta ladies. HWHNN said I need to be a bit selfish and think about what's right for us.

Right off to bed for me, need to lure HWHNN in for some sechs Wink

eurochick · 20/12/2011 22:22

Spotting must be annoying. I never really get it. Maybe just a tiny bit an hour or so before I get a full on bleed. But I can imagine it just gives false hope in case it is implantation bleeding.

Cave the good thing about pregnancy is that it isn't instant. In 9 months time, the company could be in an entirely different position. Your colleague could be back and fully fit. My mum had breast cancer 14 years ago and it was the treatment more than the illness that knocked her for six. My nan had it too, maybe 20+ years ago and she is still being a cantankerous old moo. They both found that focusing on daily life and keeping things as normal as possible (apart from when recovering from surgery of course) really helped them. I hope your colleague will be fine. And as someone else suggested, the good news of a baybee win might help lift her and everyone else.

I feel like I might be coming down with something. Oh, the irony, days after being diagnosed with an overactive immune system! Meh.

NortheyPole · 21/12/2011 08:03

Gah, europa. Might it be a pre-Christmas run down thing? I guess the immune system might be less help for that.

I am completely unprepared for
Christmas and am going shopping today. Oh God, I hate it all.

FriendofDorothy · 21/12/2011 08:03

Gah. Feel like shit today.

I am just wondering if I should give up this idea of getting pregnant. It seems to make me into a horrible person and I am not sure I can manage it any more :(

KatAndKit · 21/12/2011 08:21

No you shouldn't give up. I do understand that you feel like shit though. With the spotting and Christmas and your birthday coming up and the lack of a win it must be like everything kicking you at once. I wish I could think of something intelligent to say to make you feel better.

HaveUrselfAFaithyChristmasBaby · 21/12/2011 09:24

Best of British Northey!
dotty I get that feeling but kat is right. Now- quick explanation- I am a Christian and MSB and I do a Bible study each morning. You know me well enough by now to know I'm not on a mission to convert you all but this was our study this morning. With or without the God squad bit, it's a wise message. Hang in there.
