I am very happy to report that most of my shoes have been saved :) the loss adjustor laydee was vairy naice but not posh because she was from Birmingham and didn't seem to quibble about what needs putting right. Feel like we are getting somewhere.
I iz mega impressed with the planned pishedness. I'm on the Bulmers tonight.
baubs I'm not quite sure if that's sarcasm or joy? Hmm MSB's company used to give £10 Tesco vouchers and two chickens. Why the two chickens? I haff no idea....
cavey ooh it's exciting! Would be an exciting start to new Fred!

Truffkin · 09/12/2011 19:12

Hey watch it FaithHopeAndCharidee who says there are no posh people in Birmingham? I'll have you know there are some very naice areas of the second city. One such area, I am moving to next weekend Grin

HaveUrselfAFaithyChristmasBaby · 09/12/2011 19:14

Well Truffers she grew up near me! I grew up in da 'Hull...where you moving to?

AlpinePony · 09/12/2011 19:18

OliviaMumsnet · 09/12/2011 19:32

I Cannae remember what the actually beshing is about?
Blush
Is the S for Sex/shagging?! Blush

NortheyPole · 09/12/2011 19:34

It's about being Barren Evil Selfish Hags, olivia. Want to join us? The "barren" qualification seems to have been waived over the years, as some people appear to be updiffed. Or besprogged.

NortheyPole · 09/12/2011 19:37

I think it was a Daily Mail opinion piece, originally, pouring scorn on 30something ttc-ers.

SantasCave · 09/12/2011 19:40

General indicators of BESHness:

Over 30
"Plumbing" problems
A penchant for gin & nekkid dancing Xmas Wink

OliviaMumsnet · 09/12/2011 19:40

Aha.
So you become a Pesh after being a Besh??
well, v best of luck with all that lovely shagging.

NortheyPole · 09/12/2011 19:41

Anyway, now I have found the party which you cruelly all went to without me I shall get revenge on you by removing my glasses and shaking out my hair and effortlessly pulling Duncan from Marketing.

HaveUrselfAFaithyChristmasBaby · 09/12/2011 19:42

We got a discount on our car insurance when we got married too..

NortheyPole · 09/12/2011 19:42

That's the one, Olivia. And a CRESH/FESH after that.

HaveUrselfAFaithyChristmasBaby · 09/12/2011 19:44

The holy land of ESH...

HaveUrselfAFaithyChristmasBaby · 09/12/2011 19:45

northey I hope you've popped to Boots in your lunch hour to buy your day-to-night make up?!

NortheyPole · 09/12/2011 19:50

Dug some ancient caked up old crap out of my desk drawer, more like.

Truffkin · 09/12/2011 19:50

Ha, not re-BESHing just yet (although I think TGB could be persuaded Shock) but couldn't resist the Chrimbo party.

Faith I grew up in da very Hull you refer to and my Mom and sister are still there plus some of my friends. TGB is from Sutton so we're moving back there. He likes to harp on mention that Sutton is a royal town and is therefore superior

HaveUrselfAFaithyChristmasBaby · 09/12/2011 19:57

Truffers wowzer. The adjustor laydee lives in Sutton! Her parents were in Great Barr. My Grandma is still in said 'hull starts to wonder if we have met in RL or even went to same school

HaveUrselfAFaithyChristmasBaby · 09/12/2011 21:06

...and that wondering appears to have silenced the BESH! or maybe you're all out having a life getting pished while I am menkulling about my life

SantasCave · 09/12/2011 21:15

I'm here Faithy!
I'm watching the Nation's Favourite Bee Gees Song on ITV. I'm most shocked to see Dave Grohl (drool, drool, drool) talking about loving the BGs and that his favourite BGs song is Jive Talking. The man is so cool!

[hmm, after a few drinks Steve from IT is starting to look like Mr Grohl]
[wonders off with a piece of mistletoe]

HaveUrselfAFaithyChristmasBaby · 09/12/2011 21:33

Ah the BGs always make me think of my DMum, bless her, she used to call them the Geebies! Xmas Grin
We are watching Batman Begins. Just watched the bot where he house burned down :( but I remembered before we started watching it and agreed to go ahead. We were talking about the Hollywood version being so unrealistic. Muchos fire, very little smoke. Tis other way round. They are standing talking with all the flames. Nope it's wrong. I know, you know

eurochick · 09/12/2011 21:38

This week has been a HOLIDAY FAIL for us. We were supposed to have a nice staycation, mixing a bit of fun with a few things that need doing around the house. It has ended up being more work than work! And we still haven't done many of the things we intended to. Meh. I don't feel relaxed at all. Although we are not back at work until Monday we are off visiting KFZK's family for the weekend which will involve me being "on form" all weekend and driving for about 6 hrs. It will be nice, but tiring.

Oh stuff it.

HaveUrselfAFaithyChristmasBaby · 09/12/2011 21:41

That's crap eurhighness I know that feeling well.

Awayinamangercooper · 09/12/2011 21:44

I've always wanted to know, do you have to have actual "plumbing" problems to be a BESH, or would being a sadly childless, evil, selfish hag suffice? Given that DH hates baybees and won't updiff me and that.

SantasCave · 09/12/2011 21:56

Depends manger - your thoughts on gin???

HaveUrselfAFaithyChristmasBaby · 09/12/2011 22:10

mandermager I know you :)
Actually my plumbing is sound...am I not a other BESH?! Go back and find a Fred with.a BESHtionnaire and you will be judged in a moderately judgemental way
I am bedward bound. I hope to be perkier in the morning.
