FrostytheSunshine · 14/12/2011 20:40

Ah thank. Ménage a ESH. The thing is I can't comment on the best way to get diffed because it's NOT FUCKING HAPPENED!!!!!

PerfectDromedary · 14/12/2011 20:52

Alright. But only because you managed a proper accent mark thingy.

MadameBoodolf · 14/12/2011 21:24

How do you do that Frosting? I have copied and pasted from interwebs before but can you do a clever thing with your keyboard?

AriesWithBellsOn · 14/12/2011 21:35

I would follow Drom not just to the stationary cupboard but to the Actual Ends Of The Earth

Welcome to the Palais, BlackBum. Have some flat, warm wine and a Morrison's mince pie.

It sometimes gets quite heated in here. Usually calms down. Usually

Wouldn't be an office party without a spat thought would it? Bloody management Wink

eurochick · 14/12/2011 21:46

Boo it's keyboard shortcuts. E.g. é comes from Alt Gr+e

I used to know lots of them as when I first moved back from Brussels I would email people in French - it's a right pain on a qwerty keyboard!

MadameBoodolf · 14/12/2011 21:53

what's gr?

MadameBoodolf · 14/12/2011 21:54

Ohhhh... I've never even noticed that button before!

éééééééééééééééééééééééééééééééééééééééééééééééééééééééééééé

That felt GOOD!

AriesWithBellsOn · 14/12/2011 21:59

It's usually to the right of the spacebar, Rie

FrostytheSunshine · 14/12/2011 22:08

My phone just did it

AriesWithBellsOn · 14/12/2011 22:11

I meant stationERY cupboard didn't I?

To the right of my spacebar - and to the left actually - there is a twirly square icon with cmd on. But then this is a wankyMac.

Oh dear, accents and grammatical errors all over the shop. I disappear into a broom cupboard to sechs up MSB for a bit and it's all gone to pot.

HaveUrselfAFaithyChristmasBaby · 14/12/2011 22:17

Ps rie surely most cupboards are stationery? Unless they're on a mode of transport. Like a bus...or a train...

Itwasonastarrymole · 14/12/2011 22:19

Nearly posted something earlier that would have prbably got me kicked out of the palais into the nearest sludge pond for lack of diplomacy, but stopped myself. Think you've all been remarkably and admirably restrained, suffice to say that I do not think it is terribly polite for people who have children and functioning reproductive systems to come and pass comment on those that don't.

Let's play sardines!

*wu-ohblackbettybamalang> welcome to our den of harridans. I can't spell.

Itwasonastarrymole · 14/12/2011 22:20

(Wondered all way through that which stationa/ery it was, now am shamed)

AriesWithBellsOn · 14/12/2011 22:26

Stationary? Stationery? Which is it? I can't remember

Starry I wish you had.

Conception isn't a reward for hard work and skill. It's luck. And I think it a bit rich of someone who freely admitted her last pregnancy was the result (apologies, as I know that didn't end happily) of one shag to come back in here and tell those of us who have never even conceived once that we're not trying hard enough. And as Boo said, even though we share a lot on this forum, we don't share everything. There are some things I don't share with anyone, let alone a load of people I don't know on an internet forum. And I'm damned if I'm going to allow someone to make me feel guilty because I "must try harder" at sex.

OP posts:
FrostytheSunshine · 14/12/2011 22:37

And it's fucking hard to deal with failed cycle after failed cycle. And it's fucking hard to be cheerful when you have shagged every possible day for months to start that again knowing it's probably futile but also feeling that this could still be the month, the miracle month.

I've said this before.... surely this thread should be about support, empathy & understanding. And if people that have been in the same boat cant offer that then it's best to say nothing at all.

As you were.

AriesWithBellsOn · 14/12/2011 22:44

Not sure if either of them have been in the same boat, Sunny. They have had their own shit to deal with, but not ever conceiving isn't something they have faced. Not all BESH shit is the same shit e.g. I have never had a MC, or an eptopic, neither has Sunny, but I'm fairly certain we wouldn't suggest how things could be done differently or better to those who had suffered either of those things.

It would be nice if some apologies were issued actually. I'm really very cross about this.

Hah. To get my new job, which involves a lot of working with words, I claimed I was organised and good at attention to detail. Mwahahahahah. It is TOO LATE NOW, suckers.

Itwasonastarrymole · 14/12/2011 23:00

What I really don't get,is that everyone was discussing how they were going to have stealth sechs over Christmas, No one said they weren't going o do it, so what was the point you were trying to make anyway? It's a small point but has been bugging me.

NortheyPole · 14/12/2011 23:48

Do you know, I think I might be one of the people who "isn't having sechs". I posted a couple of days ago that I had POASed despite being on CD17 and not having had sex this cycle.

I am not having sex this cycle because I cannot be pregnant during next week's X-ray. Prior to this cycle, I have been having general unprotected sex for 7 years, and what you might call focused unprotected sex for the last two of them. I think I have had enough sex to know that that is not the problem and that there is in fact something else which needs to be corrected. Basic intelligence tells me that I can carry on shagging fruitlessly for another 7 years, but I would be better off seeking help, even if bits of investigation or treatment occasionally require me to abstain beforehand.

Also, my sexless POAS post was meant to be about the irresistible lure of piss sticks. I don't think it contained any surprise/moaning that I hadn't had a (miracle) win.

I don't think I've seen anyone here distraught that they haven't won in a cycle where they haven't shagged. Maybe expressing some good-humoured regret that an opportunity had to be missed. But nothing more than that.

NortheyPole · 14/12/2011 23:52

And hello paintitblack! Welcome. Don't you worry about the gin thing, just pass it all along this way and I'll take it off your hands.
