And so it begins again.....

Dizzy, a philli and marmite? No wonder you want to throw up! Confused Cloudy wee can also be a sign of impending cistitis ime but sounds like google thinks it's fairly normal.

:o @ scrambled's husband - I think our DH could be related :o
Personally, I also opt for Dizzy's technique - it has yet to let me down!

Yay Bartlet! And omg, I didn't realise you were a doctor! The knowledge in this room is astonishing

PopcornMouse · 13/10/2011 09:39

I've just noticed my post-ov temps are freakishly similar to last month's. That a coinkydink, right? Hmm

DizzyKipper · 13/10/2011 10:38

I feel a bit thick but what's the significance of similar post-ov temps? Do they normally vary a fair bit? (I've only just started temping really) But yes, had a peek and they do look similar.

PopcornMouse · 13/10/2011 10:41

No idea, Dizzy!
I think Imps's are wildly different, it just struck me as a bit odd lol

PopcornMouse · 13/10/2011 10:41

Wow, seasonal smilies! [hbiscuit]

DizzyKipper · 13/10/2011 10:45

Maybe it depends on whether your temps are normally quite uniform throughout cycles or if they tend to differ anyway?

DizzyKipper · 13/10/2011 10:48

Oh darn, viewing charts from the same member is a VIP only feature. Oh well, google it is.

possiblemaybebaby · 13/10/2011 11:06

Morning rat smackers

Bartlet and Scarlet so so pleased on your scan news. Really hope your stomach starts to behave itself soon Bartlet

Good luck with the MW today Biscuits I'm sure the cloudy wee is nothing to worry about, but if it is a UTI at least you have caught it before it becomes nasty Smile

DizzyKipper · 13/10/2011 11:10

You can join in maybe, I don't really know what I'm talking about anyway Wink And yes you're right, from now until Monday feels like an eternity, particularly as these last 2 days I've had off and have nothing else to do but obsess! OH gave me the green light to test tomorrow if I want, so now I'm going back and forth between whether to test or wait and googling like mad!
huh, err, what was I talking about? Ah food, thanks maybe Grin

PopcornMouse · 13/10/2011 11:35

Peanut butter cupcakes, om nom nom [hgrin]

bemybebe · 13/10/2011 11:47

Coming for some support to you ladies! I am absolutely thrilled that I am pregnant again. After several IVF (male factor) and a miscarriage last year I conceived naturally last December only to give birth to a baby girl at 24+1 due to an strepB infection (she was perfectly healthy otherwise). Now I was waiting for another IVF treatment, this time because my ovaries show the sign of failing and bang - conceived naturally again (only 3+6 today)!!!!!!!!

However, I am absolutely terrified as I am also spotting on/off and have mild period cramps - something I had before my mc at 7weeks before. I did not have any spotting or cramping in my healthy pregnancy.

I have been going around the internet for "spotting in pregnancy" and it looks like it is rather common, but I am still terrified and manically symptom checking. I am already in therapy due to depression and I am not sure I can take another 9 months of this bloody stress...

DizzyKipper · 13/10/2011 11:56

Congratulations on your BFP bebe, I am sorry that it is also such a time of worry for you. I know you know already, but spotting in pregnancy is common and doesn't mean that anything is going to go wrong - even if you had spotting before when it did. If you can it might be best to try to refrain from symptom spotting, it seems more likely to get you wound up and panicking over nothing. Easier said than done I know. In the meantime grab yourself a beanbag and some of those lovely home-baked goodies that maybe bought in, you've got us for company as you start the journey Smile

dreamfeeder · 13/10/2011 12:01

bebe, only 8 months to go m'dear!!!! Sounds like you have had a very tough time of it, and I hope your pregnancy continues smoothly. It seems bleeding and spotting is incredibly common. My mw's daughter bled heavily through her whole pregnancy and carried to term- and the mw said she's NOT talking spotting, proper bleeding. Last time in my first pg with DD I had a bit of bleeding at 5 weeks, and quite a bit more at 22 weeks. DD went to term (40+4 in fact) and is fine. On the Brooking No Argument for a problem free Pregnancy and Pain-Free Birth thread (or something like that) musicalmrs (I think it was her) bled a lot at first and thought she could be miscarrying but has had a repeat scan at 7 ish weeks and baby is just fine. love on there had bleeding at 14 weeks. It DOES seem common but is frightening as anything. In this pregnancy, I am way more worried than my first and have had no bleeding or cramping so far with twins! Come and see us on the ante-natal thread too, im totally neurotic, and worry every day about things going wrong (WHEN did I become this wierd, neurotic person driving themself crazy in what so far appears to be a healthy pregnancy?!)

bemybebe · 13/10/2011 12:03

Thank you Dizzy! I have already promised my dh (who is also over the moon) to take it easy and stay away from the knickers. It is hard, but I will have to if I want to preserve whatever sanity I have left... Wink

bemybebe · 13/10/2011 12:11

Congratulations on your twins dream! I will read through the other threads you suggested. I had a massive bleeding in my other pregnancy also (12 weeks and blood was streaking down my legs, but no cramping) which stopped almost instantly. The doctor at a&e informed me that I probably miscarry, but I did not. Nobody could explain it later.

Today I am trying to meditate on the theme "I am pregnant isn't it great" and push all the negativity away as there is nothing anybody can do about it just now.

farfallarocks · 13/10/2011 12:12

Congrats bebe, you are in the right place for handholding and no brooking!

Am very sorry to hear about your losses, here is to a sticky bean this time around!!

Hope all is well. I have just eaten my body weight in cashew nuts (good for magenesium don't you know) and feel a bit sick. Other than that, nothing to report. Gah! I hate not being able to participate in the rat smacking this month (or probably next)

scarletfingernail · 13/10/2011 12:46

Congrats on your BFP bebe

Sorry to hear you've had such a hard time getting to this point. In the spirit of this thread I'm brooking no argument that this bean will stay cooking until you're 40 weeks and arrive healthy and happy.

Feel free to join us on the ante-natal thread for those of us who have been lucky enough to find pee sticks to confirm our pregnancies.
Brook no argument pee stick endorsed

There is also another thread which is for those of us who have had previous losses. You're also very welcome to join us there and you will find lots of support.

Imps7 · 13/10/2011 12:48

It's not the first time that I've been described as "wildly different" Popcorn! Your temps seem lovely and consistent - this is a Good Thing since, as you know, consistency is very important for rat smacking. Or something.

Hello Bebe! Congratulations on your BFP - what a long and tumultuous journey you've had. I echo what the other more knowledgeable and wise rat smackers have said about bleeding - it is oh so common. We'll all be Brooking No Argument for you in any event and with all of that behind you you'll be just fine.

Oooh yum, cashew nuts. I made some spiced maple cashew nuts the other day - goooooooooooooorgeous. I have it on good authority that the addition of maple syrup, butter, salt and allspice to a cashew nut makes it 750% more healthy than a naked one.

Dizzy - it's all looking very good for those pee sticks tomorrow on Sunday. Remember to choose your pee stick carefully - you don't want to end up with one of those miserable pessimistic ones.

Bartlet and Scarlet - great news re: your scans!! You are clearly experts in the art of Brooking No Argument. You should write a book on it!

bemybebe · 13/10/2011 12:51

Thank you guys! Blush

Great news bartlett

PopcornMouse · 13/10/2011 12:59

My DH likes to remind me that chocolate-coated nuts are actually less calories per 100g than plain nuts - so I make sure to always eat those ones! :o

GenericDietCola · 13/10/2011 12:59

Yay Bartlet great scan news! Sorry you still feel rubbish though.

Dizzy could you be more preggo with symptoms like that! Can't wait til the weekend to find out.

Biscuits hope all was well with your wee.

Bebe congratulations on your BFP! We are all Brooking No Argument that this will be a healthy pregnancy and baby.

Imps you are my diet guru. Yum.

I managed to smack the rat last night - I went with Dizzy's seduction technique really - luckily DH doesn't mind but I did love Dream's chat up lines

NinjaChipmunk · 13/10/2011 13:02

Hello bebe and congratulations, I cannot say more than has already been said other than welcome!

mmm cashew nuts and peanut butter cupcakes?

biscuits hope the mw appt goes well today.

Today I feel like i'm in limbo a bit. I'm in the middle of the 2ww and have no symptoms to report but would be unlikely to have any at this stage anyway (and never had any symptoms when pg with ds either for that matter!). I have a hectic weekend coming up to focus on I suppose. But its just me in the office today and I appear to be doing my own head in a bit! Must. Brook. No. Argument!

NinjaChipmunk · 13/10/2011 13:06

Good going generic keep it up!

dizzy forgot to say earlier it sounds very promising for you.

popcorn chocolate-coated nuts are actually less calories per 100g than plain nuts - how does that work???
