MyGoldenNotebook · 17/09/2011 10:56

PS (Well done on the huge spike Popcorn - I have no idea what it means either but I am very pleased indeed as it is obviously a good thing. Ovulation?)

maybebabyR · 17/09/2011 11:18

Happy anniversary Golden! Hope you get very spoilt Smile

OP posts:
PopcornMouse · 17/09/2011 12:35

Don't think so Golden, I'm 9dpo with AF due on 22nd/23rd. Cramping a bit today (and lots of cm though that could be usual for me 9dpo, I can't remember). Not feeling as hopeful today tbh but trying not to obsess over it think about it too much.

Congrats on your anniversary! Are you going to do anything speshal? :)

ScrambledSmegs · 17/09/2011 12:45

Hi all! Am off on my hollibobs, so won't be checking in for a while. SWI in the same cottage as my PIL's will be, erm,interesting...Hmm.

duke too early! I'm sure those pee- sticks will be on message soon.

Have lots of sff? Envy Hope his treatment goes ok.

Anyone else feel like the thread title is telling a certain famous MNer to keep out?! Grin

dreamfeeder · 17/09/2011 13:16

scrambled, errr, some of us are too thick/new to mn to get the famous MNer reference...???? Yikes, SWI with PIL- at 'appropriate' times then, bit hard to sneak off for a sneaky shag I imagine.

duke, i reckon too early, could still be on the cards. And we're having a roll with the ttc while bf-ers so it's def your turn.

GenericDietCola · 17/09/2011 15:04

Scrambled - I get what you mean! Hope you enjoy your hollibobs. I went away with DH and the PILs (and other family) recently and I had to pretend to be cross with DH to get him to sneak off to our room for SWI ('can I talk to you for a minute?'). They all probably think I'm mental. Ho hum.

Popcorn stay positive m'dear - all sounds are good so far. BFP in a few days!

Golden happy anniversary - I'm sipping some lemon and ginger tea laced with honey as we speak!

Farfalla I do hope that BFP is a sticker - come on baby F! Enjoy your anniversary, have a drink and try as hard as you can to distract yourself and concentrate on you and Mr F. I know it's easier said than done though.

CakePigeon · 17/09/2011 15:09

hello all, I'm finally back in the UK yay although boooo to work on monday :(

best of luck farfalla I really hope this sticks for you and it proves to be nothing to worry about. I have my fingers crossed for you.

duke it is very early, meconium took a while I seem to remember?

how are you doing popcorn my ole cycle buddy? I think I'm about 8 dpo and I'm cranky as hell so hoping it is a symptom and not an AF symptom and also hoping that I'm not just a moody bitch, which is quite possible, sigh

guilty tv pleasures include road wars and other police based programmes Blush also four weddings

PopcornMouse · 17/09/2011 16:08

Hi Cake! How were your jollies? Are you tanned? just a bit jealous
Is it a bit early for pre-AF crankiness? My money's on PHD :o www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Post%20Holiday%20Depression

Been feeling really positive until today - today I feel a bit glum tbh, but I think I'm just cream crackered from work. And dieting, ugh. I want cake. Cake solves everything

Speaking of which, I'm hungry! What's everyone having for dinner? :d
DH is out for the evening so I've cooked some tried and tested comfort food: www.hub-uk.com/foodpages40/recipe1951.htm

Generic, that is so sneaky!

Scrambled the MN reference went straight over my head, too Blush

MeconiumHappens · 17/09/2011 16:21

Its not over til the fat lady sings. I sense a b FAT p farfalla very soon.

CakePigeon · 17/09/2011 17:11

chin up popcorn you have testing to look forward to now! enjoy your comfort food, think I'm on a bit of a diet post holiday. it is a shame as I LOVE food sooo much! Sadly I am not tanned at all, I never tan, I am too pale and rubbish for that plus as DH says I 'cling to shade like a limpet' as I have a fear of burning! I do have PHD, it started a few days before we came home though - I think i also had PPHD :o

have fun on your holiday scrambled Envy I want to go away again!

MyGoldenNotebook · 17/09/2011 17:20

Well we're not going out but we have a nice bottle of sparkly wine and DH bought me some pretty pink roses. He has a gig next week (he's in an indie rock duo although not as his main job) so I'm procuring a babysitter then.

Be hopeful Popcorn, although like Alice in Wonderland I give very good advice but I very seldom follow it :) I'm trying to be better though. On another note, I will be having fajitas for dinner followed by chocolate ice cream.

Have a fun hols Scrambled and remember, if you see a rat, smack it!

Generic with ginger and lemon you say? I may try that. had it just in warm water this morning and it wasn't as bad as I expected.

scarletfingernail · 17/09/2011 18:45

Popcorn I loved The Real Housewives of the OC as well. The New York one is on at the same time and channel as the OC used to be. ITV2 at 9.30am and again at 3.40pm. I tape it every morning then watch after lunch when DS is asleep Blush. It is as good as the OC one.

Sorry to hear about the BFN duke. It's only positive news really though. Either your luteal phase has lengthened which is fantastic, or you will be getting a BFP very soon. Even more fantastic Smile

farfalla I'd be tearing my hair out in your situation. Definitely recommend having a few drinks. If you are getting a BFP it will make no difference at this stage and will definitely help you to relax.

dreamfeeder · 17/09/2011 19:32

oh, farfalla, i'm on tenterhooks for you!!

And feeling better again with my magic pills. Seriously, I have a new-found adoration for the GP who gave them to me. I've decided he's a Silver Fox (I reckon late forties, maybe, is he too young for that title?), and quite possibly a super-hero, and could easily pull off wearing his underpants over his trousers if so required for his super-hero role.

scarlet, I keep foregtting to tape Homes Under the Hammer for when DD naps. Though she's only napping for 50 min sometimes and I really have to do jobs/get slow cooker on most of the time while she sleeps. Now I'm so rough though, I reckon tv is totally justified.

GenericDietCola · 17/09/2011 20:51

Oh Popcorn cake really does solve everything, you are very wise.

Golden - sparkling wine and fajitas sounds really nice. Do try the lemon and giner tea thing - I'm going to have another one later. Hope it will fix my sore throat as well.

Scarlet and Dream I loved maternity leave the first time round - I used to record Extreme Makeover, Dating in the Dark and other such rubbish tv to watch when DD was asleep. Can't wait to be on mat leave again soon (please).

Just had tea: macaroni cheese with bacon and sliced tomatoes on top - yum yum. Proper comfort food.

GenericDietCola · 17/09/2011 20:52

Hope you're OK Farfalla and enjoying your anniversary.

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 17/09/2011 21:22

Just a quick note to send the very best of luck to Farfalla. You so deserve this!! I really hope AF stays well away and that line gets darker and darker!!

Fingers crossed for Duke and everyone else in the second week of the 2ww. It's such a stressful time. However you are all hardcore rat smackers, I expect another round of BFPs very shortly!! Good luck!

I had my 8 week scan this morning and there's a little bean in there with a real heartbeat! Very excited. It really feels like just last week I was waiting for my pee stick endorsement, it's crazy!

GenericDietCola · 17/09/2011 21:27

Oh Scream fab news! I thought of you this morning and forgot to mention it on the thread. Very happy for you and it doesn't seem long since you were squinting over faint lines and now here you are!

Come on next round of BFPs!

duke748 · 18/09/2011 05:39

Great news Scream Grin

BFN here this morning. Sad Also slighty blood tinged CM so think AF is on her way. It's not over till she makes an appearance, but not feeling too hopeful. Gutted, especially considering how much SWI we managed this month!

PopcornMouse · 18/09/2011 08:43

Aww duke, I'm really sorry. Could it possibly be implantation blood??

Great news Scream!!

Any news from Farfalla?

Got a case of the glums today. 10dpo and BFN, af-like cramping and nausea and, well, the glums is another good indicator too. Feel like I'm just counting down to AF on Tuesday tbh.

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 18/09/2011 09:10

Morning preggos!

Popcorn and Duke it sucks that those evil pee sticks have given you BFNs today, but don't give in! This is your month and you are Brooking No Argument remember! None are your symptoms couldn't also be explained by being preggers. Duke several of the endorsed preggos had spotting before their BFP. Popcorn nausea and cramps? Classic early pg signs! As for the glums, for me the glums came hand-in-hand with every BFN I got, even the BFN I got the morning before the afternoon when I got my first faint line! You guys are so close to your confirmations! Hang in there!

Farfalla how are you this morning? I hope that line's getting darker and AF is far far away! (Can't she see the thread title?!)

Any other testers today/next week? I think several people are near testing stage aren't they?

dreamfeeder · 18/09/2011 09:41

duke, I had cramping and spotting at CD26 before I got my BFP. I was sure my cycle length was just normalising as AF was about to arrive, when it was implantation. Hang in there yet!

farfalla, popped in to see you, hope your line is darker...

Was up from 1am til about 4 with DD for no clear reason... BF, everything I could think of tried but she wouldn't go to sleep. knackered now. I told her i remember her babyness well, i don't need practice for this one

CakePigeon · 18/09/2011 11:01

oh no naughty pee sticks there popcorn and duke. It really is completely unfair that AF symptoms are the same as pregnancy symptoms, but they are, so your symptoms really could be either. hang in there and stay positive! and also ignore me whilst I fail to take my own advice

I have zero symptoms apart from being cranky which I think popcorn correctly diagnosed as PHD :o so not feeling hopeful this month. DH also said he wasn't feeling good about this month despite large amount of holiday SWI... must be more positive, now where are my pom poms?

hope you are managing to relax and enjoy yourself a bit farfalla hope for some good news from you soon!!

maybebabyR · 18/09/2011 11:31

Morning one and all!!

Sorry about the BFNs Popcorn and Duke They are so disheartening, but hang in there.

Cake lovely to have to back, how was Bali? I am so so jealous! DH and I were going through our honeymoon pics last night Smile

Scream amazing news on your scan, bet you are so chuffed Grin

I love Sunday mornings. Something for the Weekend, followed by the repeat of the Great British Bake Off! Heaven Smile

duke748 · 18/09/2011 11:41

Ahhh, thanks for good wishes guys!

Dream - how long was it from spotting to BFP? On another note- my boy was up from 4am -5am screeching. Maybe they are on some kind of rota?

Nothing at all here on my regular knocker checking. Not even spotting, so am brooking away. For some reason I imagine brooking involves folded arms and staring intently into the distance!

I just bought a MASSIVE Santa sack and stocking for munchkin from car boot. He won't even be one (coolest birthdate ever - 1/1/11!) but I am so excited about Christmas on his behalf!

Popcorn - I feel your pain, am in pretty much the same position as you. Here's hoping we're celebrating together soon.

dreamfeeder · 18/09/2011 12:00

duke, I waited another 6 or 7 days, think I tested on what would have been CD 34 or 35. Until my longest cycle ever (my first since BF) would have been late. I am not an early tester!! A VERY strong positive straight away, as fast as the control. I was restrained!! I was also expecting AF anyway, not a BFP... I think you could well be preggers!!

I hate the night crying!! DD never normally cries, just calls if she wakes up, so I get worried about her! Little monkey would sleep on my chest if I sat up in our nursing chair with her... Soon as I laid her down she was wide awake. Just like the little baby stage! She seems ok this morning, so hoping it wasn't illness. Why do they not have a lie in if they're up a lot in the night?! Why?!

popcorn, I was the same. I 'only' did a test so I could be fully prepared for AF... And I think my BFP was about 17, or even more days after ov judging by how dark and quick the line was (I only did three tests over 2 or 3 days thoguh). Don't be too glum yet!!!
