New thread ladies, pull up a pew.

OP posts:
DizzyKipper · 08/10/2011 07:12

Congratulations Late, knew you'd be upduffed! Grin And still impressed you managed to hold off for a whole week before testing! I know it probably won't help me saying try not to worry as you will anyway, but still, try not to, just bask in the glory of your BFP! There are other people who don't get a BFP until weeks after their AF was due and go on to have healthy and successful pregnancies. Very pleased for you and glad the thread gets to share in the good news Smile

BabySade · 08/10/2011 07:14

Yay Late Grin

Maybe it's not as strong as last time as you could have ovulated a bit later or maybe implantation took longer this time.
Also I've read somewhere ( I think on the POAS website) that sometimes the amount of dye in tests can differ so some lines can look fainter than others. I can totally understand why you are worried after what happened last time. We will all just have to brook that extra bit harder for you that's all.
Anyway Late massive congratulations, your womb is most definitely wonderful!!!!

duke748 · 08/10/2011 07:25

Fab news late. I'm soooooooooo pleased for you.

Biscuitsandtea · 08/10/2011 07:27

Late yay! Grin fabulous news! Congratulations!

Agree with everything Baby said about the strength of the line. I think we should take it one step at a time and we have ticked off that first step of getting a BFP. We will now commence brooking for keeping it that way Smile We WILL get you a baby!

Do you know roughly when you'd be due? xx

Oh, and thank you for testing do early Smile

Biscuitsandtea · 08/10/2011 07:27

so not do Blush

shinyblackgrape · 08/10/2011 08:17

Back earlier than expected. DH watching the sodding rugby in bed. Very romantic! It better be over by next week. Bed purely for shagging and sleeping then!

NinjaChipmunk · 08/10/2011 08:46

Yay! Well done late as biscuits said we will now commence stage 2 brooking! Congratulations to you and Mr late.

NinjaChipmunk · 08/10/2011 08:56

Oh and generic that's wonderful news about your scan. Must be an absolute weight off your mind.
I don't feel we've managed much sexing this month although hopefully it was at the right time. I am now starting the 2ww. Have 2 kids parties this weekend and its. Ds birthday next weekend so the whole family will be around then to take my mind off it.

DizzyKipper · 08/10/2011 09:04

Semi-finals are next week shiny, the final will be the week after. Me and OH are watching rugby right now, not impressed with England's performance Hmm.

Biscuitsandtea · 08/10/2011 09:07

DS and DH are watching the rugby at the mo. All I can hear from DS is 'the men have all fallen over again.......' Smile

musicalmrs · 08/10/2011 09:08

Late - WOO! Congratulations! So pleased you're finally pee stick endorsed. As Biscuits said, we'll be brooking our hardest for this to be a sticky one.

Generic, that's brilliant news about your scan!

Solars · 08/10/2011 09:14

Congratulations Late! A line is a line, go forth and bask!

Generic so pleased the scan went well and all was explained away about what was going on, must be a relief to put that that nagging feeling at the back of your head.

Hi Shiny welcome and congratulations on your soon to be endorsed pregnancy!

CakePigeon · 08/10/2011 09:20

Congratulations late hope it's all smooth from here on

Glad your scan went well generic it must be great to have that weight off your mind now Smile

I am watching rugby too although considering turning it off - I hate watching us lose!

DizzyKipper · 08/10/2011 09:25

It gets very frustrating doesn't it Cake, particularly that last minute - STOP FUMBLING AND JUST HOLD ONTO IT! Gah! Really hope our game improves when we get back, but I've gotten used to disappointments where England is concerned.

Onto more important things, for my birthday weekend OH says he's going to take me out shopping, but is reluctant even just to let me browse the baby sections! Surely 3dpo is all the evidence one needs that I must be upduffed and can legitimately start looking at baby stuff? He doesn't want it to end up like last time with more disappointment, but I really really want to browse all the stuff

CakePigeon · 08/10/2011 09:29

Oh browsing is ok I reckon dizzy coming from the woman who owns a nappy bag

I know! Argh why are they so crap today? They should know the French and indeed most other teams up their game against us because they hate us so much!

BabySade · 08/10/2011 09:34

I'm also watching the rugby. They better get some points quick or my DH is going to be sulking all day!

So glad the scan was ok Generic, I really need to get off my bum and clean up my dirty house but can't be bothered Blush

BabySade · 08/10/2011 09:36

Yep Dizzy I'm in no position to tell you to be sensible as I have bought a maternity coat & spend a ridiculous amount of time looking at nursery items on the Internet. I was reading some car seat reviews earlier BlushBlushBlush

Loooopy · 08/10/2011 09:49

congratulations late. If you want absolute confirmation of the bleedin obvious, go get yourself a CBD test (or send your DH out for one lol), it will tell you exactly how preggo you are! no need to anaylse lines then :)

oh and dizzy and babysade, when you do get a pee stick that agrees that you are preggo, you will find the time goes so fast, that you are wise to be researching such items now! (and if you happen to buy a few things, then your DH's should be thankful that you are so considerate as to spread your purchases out over more than 9 months to make the overall spending less painful !!)

CakePigeon · 08/10/2011 09:51

That is an excellent point Looopy I shall be passing that one on to DH Grin

I wish I was in the Saturdays...

DizzyKipper · 08/10/2011 10:05

Brilliant point Loooopy, ran it by OH but he thinks it's a conspiracy to increase overall shopping rather than seeing it for the brilliance that it is.

Really thought we could've turned things round for a while there but looks like it'll be France in the semis. Oh well, at least with 7 points your DH shouldn't be too sulky Baby Wink

ScrambledSmegs · 08/10/2011 10:06

Morning! Congratulations, Late, that's wonderful news! We will be brooking no argument that this one is sticking around!

Gawd, the rugby is painful. I can't watch any more, despite the fact that the french team has some seriously hot players in it [shallow emoticon].

DizzyKipper · 08/10/2011 10:18

Eep, I managed to miss some posts Shock

Glad the scan went well Generic and you can get back to some serious rat smacking, I reckon you'll defy the expectations and get upduffed really soon!
Our 6 month tenancy actually ends 27th December, telling us now gives us over the 2 months notice, so they're not actually in breach of contract.

This game is far too suspenseful!

LateToThisBabyMalarky · 08/10/2011 11:32

Thanks for all the messages ladies Thanks
I think I will get a CBD when I go to Tesco later, good idea Looopy Wink. P-Tracker has me at 5+3, due on 8 June (goodness, that's strange to see!)

I don't think it's really sunk in for either DH or myself, it's sort of theoretical at the moment - we're both a bit wary of investing too much & getting as excited as last time at this early stage given what followed. Not that it's going to happen again, of course, because we are brooking no arguments at all, absolutely none Grin

BartletForAmerica · 08/10/2011 11:52

Congratulations, Late. A line is a line is a line! I will be Brooking No Argument for the waiting over the next few weeks.

Isn't the red JojoMamanBebe coat gorgeous! If my 12 week scan goes well, that is definitely how I am going to reward myself!

Didn't Phil pull a blinder last night? (I'm actually watching this morning on the iplayer while doing housework in between vomiting and eating crisps. The shop has run out of paprika pringles! Disaster! How am I going to cope?!)

I only recognise a few of these 'celebrities', but I have met Ruth Bond, the chair of the WI (she wasn't on last night)! She was trying to persuade me to join the WI because there are loads of young women in it - any of you members?
