New thread ladies, pull up a pew.

Oh Imps how frustrating re the SWI! Still, that was only the start of the shagathon. You are going to be the temptress tonight - he won't be able to resist you Wink. And there is always alcohol! Nice dinner, bottle of wine, mood lighting, sexy undies WinkWink

And it's the weekend so no getting up for work tomorrow - you'll win him over. I'm sure he meant it about being up for it this month.

Fingers crossed for you. Smile

Biscuitsandtea · 16/09/2011 13:53

Oh generic I so hope DS and mini biscuit get on. He is quite sweet normally but we were at my friends the other week and her ds1 was jumping on her DS2 and taking his toys etc - eeek! Hope they get on...

PopcornMouse · 16/09/2011 13:55

Imps I have to work hard to get DH into action around OV too, you're not alone! His pesky shift work often means he's either too tired or plain absent, (which is partly why I'm so hopeful for this month as he was off work for the week).

May I suggest you use curry and beer to bribe him with, and get your SWI in before he lagers up?

GenericDietCola · 16/09/2011 13:59

Oh Imps I agree with Biscuits you will seduce him tonight. I think it's a myth that men want to shag all the time - my DH isn't always in the mood, but I can usually persuade him (see 'you'll have to do all the work' comment from before). I'm your OH will be much more relaxed tonight and ready to Just Fertilise.

I know it's hard to keep the ovulating thing to yourself, but I don't tell DH just in case it puts him under too much pressure - I just tell you lot instead. Last night I got a bit upset about my mc/ttc and ended up telling DH a little bit. He guessed that I'd been more 'affectionate' to try to get preggo again and I suddenly worried that he would guess that I was going to be 'affectionate' for the next few days, so I waffled on about just wanting some cuddles and that I had no idea about my cycle etc (he thinks we're just not using contraception, but not 'trying' iyswim). It's a bit frustrating because he is taking a 'wait and see what happens' attitude, whereas I am obsessing about it all the time! Argh! Must maintain external composure!

Thank goodness for this outlet. You're all great!

PopcornMouse · 16/09/2011 14:00

Does anyone else find their pregnancy vits make them feel sick and turns their wee neon yellow ?

GenericDietCola · 16/09/2011 14:00

Oh and what Popcorn said, although I tried to get in it early last night and he saw right through it! I think he was hungry and needed feeding first!

GenericDietCola · 16/09/2011 14:01

Popcorn my vitamin B tablets were making me feel sick and turning my wee yellow. Mind you, I still keep feeling sick, but that'll be preconception morning sickness.

PopcornMouse · 16/09/2011 14:01

Oh generic, our DH could be twins! Mine is also of the "see what happens" but here I am charting, checking EWCM, OPKs, MN....... :(

GenericDietCola · 16/09/2011 14:02

Oh we are the same Popcorn - good to hear!! If DH had any idea of how much this is occupying my thoughts he would be stunned!

dreamfeeder · 16/09/2011 15:28

Hello!

Men are from mars don't forget. They really are different creatures. I do think it's easier for it to be not so important for them- it's not them with their ovaries ticking, needing to grow the baby in their body for 9 months, then produce it successfully with hopefully no complications.

I am very pukey today. Seen GP who is concerned about my dehydration. My challenge is to take the nice pills he gave me and drink 2 litres of water by tomorrow to give a 'significant improvement'. Or i'll need to see the out of hours gp tomorrow and maybe go into hospital for IV fluids. I'm not worrying about that as the tablets will work and I will be totally hunky dory by tomorrow. and i am HUNGRY. I have tried multiple foods today and seen all of all of them again. However, my magic tablets mean I will soon be fine and scoff, nom nom nom

imps, I agree, nice things for the evening but get that shag in before he gets too drunk/tired!!

duke748 · 16/09/2011 16:42

I have neon pee!

That is all.... Grin

PopcornMouse · 16/09/2011 16:57

:o

PopcornMouse · 16/09/2011 16:58

Gosh dream that sounds terrible! Once your meds kick in I should get something really nommy as a treat. Like cheesecake

PopcornMouse · 16/09/2011 16:59

Generic, I think mine would be more freaked out than stunned ha ha!

MyGoldenNotebook · 16/09/2011 18:17

Evening ladies,

Great news re the scan Biscuits - it's so magical seeming them on the screen.

Hope you're ok musical - keep us posted and look after yourself.

Far - I am keeping everything crossed for you. We all know how much you deserve it. One of us needs to be rewarded for our marathon SWI last month.

Oh Imps that must be so annoying! You'll have to try and swallow your annoyance though in favour of seduction tactics! Saying that - curry and beer is a very leathal combination in the lethargy stakes and he could appear before you in high form for the necessary performance later this evening :)

My DH is OK with the SWI, but he doesn't want to talk about it when I get upset after AF. He isn't much of a feeling fancier in general though.

Duke I also have neon pee.

maybebabyR · 16/09/2011 18:32

Oh Dream you poor love. I really hope those pills kick in very soon.

I hope you work your magic Imps I doubt mine will be in the mood at 1 this morning when he gets in, but stranger things have been known to happen!

I want neon wee! Mine is just the norm.

Generic (I think it was you who asked) I get nauseous during ovulation too. Not sure if maybe it is due to the progesterone starting to ramp up?

What are everyone's plans for this evening? I have a bottle of prosecco n the fridge, but no one to share it with Sad

I'm feeling a bit better!!! I have managed a dioralyte and nearly a pint of water, and a piece of toast and little mr kipling apple pie (nom nom). this is my biggest intake in 3 days and i feel better than I have in about a week. I LOVE my new pills. I will think I really am better when I finally have a wee.... it's been about 7 hours- unheard of for me, seriously, i have the world's weakest bladder!!! so i am totally no-hospital cheerful Grin

farfalla, i don't think it's necessarily all over, not unless AF arrives in full flow. What is a chemical pregnancy?? I really hope this month is your month.

1am maybe i certainly wouldn't be up for it then, good for you for thinking of attempting it Wink

MyGoldenNotebook · 16/09/2011 19:33

Good news dream!

maybebabyR · 16/09/2011 19:46

Dream brilliant news! Keeping my fingers crossed for a wee for you soon Grin

And I don't really know how up for it I will be either. But the intention is good enough me thinks!

right, off to put ds in bed, be back later.

maybebabyR · 16/09/2011 21:11

Wohoo! How was your break Ninja? Hope you had a lovely time.

OP posts:
NinjaChipmunk · 16/09/2011 21:38

It was lovely thanks maybe and ds loved it so much he burst into full on sobs when we left this morning, bless him. It was positively stuffed with pregnant people which did mean there was no getting away from the ttc but since we can't ttc this month it didn't really have much affect on me (as I drank my wine...). I even overcame my massive vertigo and went on the climbing wall. I will deffo go back to being more active I think, I used to cycle everywhere but barely go out on my bike now, this reminded me how much i enjoyed it.

NinjaChipmunk · 16/09/2011 21:38

oops pressed post too soon! How are things in the maybe household?

maybebabyR · 16/09/2011 21:50

Ah, sounds like just the thing you needed Ninja. Bless DS, that's too cute. HSG is booked soon isn't it? Then it will be your month Smile

All is good hear. Think we are still going to keep on TTC. Though think we are going to go with the whole laid back approach. Surely there has to be an ironic BFP coming from somewhere, no?!

OP posts:
GenericDietCola · 16/09/2011 22:03

Evening all - anyone fancy some Cava (sorry it's not the real thing)?

Golden love that: 'not much of a feeling fancier' - my DH is the same! He is great with practical things but absolutely hopeless if you just want a shoulder to cry on.

Maybe glad I'm not the only one with nausea at ovulation. Good luck staying awake til 1am and I hope it's worth it!

Dream so glad you are feeling a bit better, your last post was very worrying. You must keep trying to eat and drink a little at a time.

Welcome back Ninja - we missed you. Glad you had good hols and not long til the magic HSG now, so you'll have your BFP in no time.

Any nice plans for the weekend? I've got two kids parties (with DD, I'm not a clown or similar). Hope everyone has a nice weekend.
